      I sold Foden for Salah. It kinda made sense at the time, with Foden coming off a couple of blanks, no double, and Salah having SHU and a double. But what can you do - Foden is having a great season.

      Boiled down to Son v Foden this GW. Folks took hits to keep Son and others took a gamble with Foden.

      In isolation, Son is a better FPL asset than Foden due to being nailed, playing CF and on pens.

      This isn't just for 1GW, decision is for GW31-33.

          No I sold Son due to funds, didn't want to take a hit and my injured 8th attacker in Hee Chan. The moves was Son and Watkins to Salah and Darwin 2FTs.

          If Hee Chan was fit, I would have done Foden and Watkins to Salah and Mateta then rotateHee Chan and Mateta in 31-33.

      My decision to keep Foden came down to money, it was a decision between Son & Watkins to Salah/Darwin or Foden & Watkins to Salah & Munoz. Thankfully chose the former.

      I sold on GW30 wildcard. It was two of Ode/Foden/Watkins. I really fancied Watkins to score v Wolves & Brentford, and thought there was an inkling of an Ode rest v Luton. Arteta did rotate heavily but not him, couldn't have foreseen the Watkins injury, and the hatty came out of nowhere. Variance!!

      Swings on a wildcard too.

      It will have benefited teams with less engaged managers partly, so leveled up mini leagues etc a bit.

      I was all for keeping Foden on WC30 but I got persuaded by the advice on here to get Son.

      Tbf it's only a 11 point swing, but those are the fine margins between about 50k ranks.

      Son also has a decent looking opportunity next week and can haul soon.

      You can't really judge anything in isolation on one week alone.

      Which is why asking who scores most this week always seems finger in the air to me and just speculation.

      This will likely change depending on when the Spurs/Chelsea double land. Not a huge fan on the booked transfer straight after WC. Could be behind a transfer if you get injuries before BB37

        Spurs/Chel double looks like GW36 according to planetfpl.

        Reason behind the transfer in 36 is that based on that WC, you would end up burning a transfer as making a transfer in 37 would be hard due to all players having a double, including bench players for BB37.

        If no BB chip for 37 then dont do the transfer in 36 and use it in 37 instead.

      I was about to ask why you would even sell Odegaard before his home match against Luton, who is also taking penalties if Saka isn't playing, and Foden against Villa, who only kept 3 clean sheets in the last 15 matches, but then realised you were on a wildcard.

          It's one of those things isn't it. Whichever two went would have been the wrong choice. But I had planned Salah back in either 30 or 31 and I thought getting him for 30 would bear fruit Made a decision to always stick to my first instinct this season. Playing pure FPL not doing what others say is best. Got away with it last week as they both blanked, and Salah could have had four goals easy, in which case this week wouldn't have mattered. Fine lines.

          I have 2 FT's again now so may get Watkins out and into a 3-5-2 with Ode coming back ready for 34. Put it down to a mistake. But in isolation if I had of done absolutely nothing I'd have had no captain this week as I'd surely have gone Saka/Haaland(c)/(vc)..? So as long as Salah(c) & Palmer eat into Foden & Ode's 31 points I may still level it up...!

    Sold Haaland 2 weeks ago to get in salah,
    have a midfield of son, foden, salah, saka, palmer

    top is watkins, solanke and darwin,

    Do people think haaland at luton is a must or can i keep getting away with it until the end of the season?

    do i otherwise sell watkins for isak this week?

    Any other differentials i am missing?

      Haaland v Luton (H) is certainly the best captaincy option in 33. Does that make him a must have? Maybe but for your case you need to factor in transfer cost and alternative captaincy

        How do you arrive at that?
        Luton is sandwiched between two RMA ties, both of which he will start. This precedes Chelsea and Brighton ties, so Luton looks like a prime game for him to sit out, in the same way that Arteta rested key personnel last night.

        He looks out of form and out of shape. He was awful for Norway over int. break. He's registered multiple -bps scores since his return and last night shows he's not even nailed for tricky games like Villa.

        Form says no. Fixtures say no. 14.3m!

        No Haalanders know what they're doing.
