    1) VDV White Havertz (1 doubler and no hits)

    2) VDV Dunk Son (3 doublers and -8)

Which one will y'all go for?

Feels scary not to have Son for the double gw though.

White to Dunk is not worth a FT, let alone a hit.
Son in would be preferential but Havertz is a good pick in 38.

I plan to have 3 Arsenal players (Havertz back in) for gw38. Already have Gabriel as well. If White goes this week, I will get 2 Arsenal mids for gw38.

Thoughts on Pope as a gk option to bring in? Do we think he comes straight back in the starting 11 considering he was on the bench last gw?

As a prediction they get 1 game each, or Pope comes in for the last game of the season

Tough to say. Pope was in the squad at the weekend. Not sure if it's a case of being cautious with Pope or waiting for Dubravka to make a mistake

Thanks mate, glad you liked it! For the record, I think the Goals Imminent table can be pretty useful for spotting players who are getting a lot of chances but might be flying under the radar for having not scored recently. I do think you have to be careful with how you interpret what it’s saying though.

Not one FPL content creator (except good ol' Holly) is catering for those of us on triple captain. There is literally no fresh content to help us. Not everyone is a sheep who is on a BB37 strategy you know!

They will all have a captain in each of their teams and reasons as to why, whether it's a normal captain or the triple captain chip. (Does it really matter?)

Not that Saka's a bad option, but It feels a bit underwhelming bringing in a SGW player for a doubler.

I need a goalie. Cannot be Chelsea, Spurs or City. Would take Pope if we knew he would start. Do not like Onana nor Verbruggen. Thinking Pickford but maybe better with a doubler. Money no issue and all chips used. Any recommendations?

Ok, imo Henderson is fine for 38 (or 37 even), so Pickford if you don't fancy a doubler.

The question is whether Onana or Verbruggen will get more points than Pickfords (hopefully CS 6)

              • 11 Years

Of course. Everton's cs odds are about 37-40 % according to the bookies. Pickford is more likely to get a cs than Onana but personally I would prefer a doubler for the higher (although unlikely) upside. 🙂

Would you bring in Dalot (for Gusto) and Jackson (for Muniz) to cover off main rival in ML? Exact money and 0.0 ITB as it stands.
Or do Kilman to Dunk and Hendo to Onana for extra players on BB? Thanks.

    Petrovic
    Livramento / Gusto / Porro

    Haaland / Isak

It's an interesting article but often they seem to lack a strong conclusion.

So against the noise in the xG data and delta, is the particular player just unlucky or not v good?
Or came up against a superb goalkeeper?

Anyway, interesting to see that DCL has the greatest minus xG delta.
Somehow, that's not a surprise again!!

    1. Simon March
      • Fantasy Football Scout Member

Glad you found the article interesting! Best I can really say is that, in order to figure out how predictive a negative xG delta stat could potentially be, you first need to figure out what has caused it. Sorry if that’s a bit vague but the answer will always be so case and context-specific that any general conclusion would probably be a bit misleading.

        I agree.

Which is actually perhaps the perfect conclusion ...

Assess and interrogate the data but then apply the eye test to identify the underlying causes.

As you say context is key ...

        Great piece.
