    Ok here it is:
    Fallen
    Anderson VDV Mylenko (burn (4)
    Palmer Saka foden Hudson (winks)
    Wood isak haaland

    All good?

  4. Dotherightthing

    Thoughts? Salah no haaland

    Sanchez, Turner
Akanji, Timber, Andersen (or any 4.5), Barco, Faes
    Salah, Son, Foden, Nkunku, Eze
    Watkins, Havertz, Pedro.

    Thanx

Defence is too weak IMO. Akanji and Timber could easily be rotated. Not convinced either of your keepers start either.

I’d drop Pedro to a £4.5m, play 3-5-2 and upgrade in defence

Ok guys couple of decisions left but how does he look & who would you pick?

    Pope
    TAA Gvardiol Porro
    8.5 Gordon Eze 6.5
    Haaland Isak Munoz

    Bench 4.0 Mykolenko Rogers Barco

Bruno or Odegaard for the 8.5
Garnacho or Nkunko for the 6.5?

      Bruno and Nkunku in isolation.

But you’re going to have all sorts of problems getting up to a premium midfielder with that structure (assuming one of them starts on fire)

      1. Babit1967

Yeah I did think about that, couldn't decide between Gordon & TAA against Son & a 4.5 defender but my decision came down to Haaland is going to be captain most weeks anyway and TAA & Gordon should get a lot of points.

Fair. Price points may be less important this year with ability to roll 3-4 transfers and do a mini wildcard

Yeah definitely, after a few weeks of saving I could easily switch things about.

It's hard to fit all the decent players in this year which makes it more exciting. No Salah, Palmer, Saka Foden, Son, Watkins etc could be dangerous but can't have everyone.

    Opinions/Comments -

    GK - Pickford / Valdimarsson
    DF - Saliba / Gvardiol / Andersen
    MD - Palmer / Gordon / Bowen / Gibbs-White
    FW - Haaland / Pedro / Watkins

Bench - Valdimarsson, A Phillips, Faes, Hodge
    0m ITB

would ideally like to play 343 or 433 but feel i need a strong mid or def - any thoughts? or stick with what i have?

Aiming for 2 decent subs, while not spending too much on them - i.e. a 4.5m def & a max 5.5m mid (ideally 5 if there's someone like Rogers who's good enough to play with a genuine hope of more than 2pts). Would like to avoid playing 4 at the back as much as possible

Watched the full Liverpool vs Betis game last night. Takeaway:

1/ Salah was wide right again. Looked rusty at times. Did get his assy but never looked like getting on the score sheet. Worryingly Slot suggested he missed his strikers who be through the middle (referring directly to Nunez)

2/ Szoboszlai was very high and got his goal. Slot mentioned it may have been through necessity though with the lack of striker up top. One to keep an eye on.

3/ Tsmikas was playing as an inverted LB at times. IF Robbo wasn't back for the season start he could become a cheap way into that defence

4/ Bradley was very good again. In a lot of advanced areas and could easily have got returns on another day. Obviously, need to see where Trent fits into all this but he still looks a fantastic option.

They played a 424 formation which really tightened the backline. Surprisingly they never looked like conceding. Never really considered Liverpool for clean sheets but they could be a surprise package there..

I'm team H rather than Salah, but wouldn't worry about Salah's rustiness. He always looks out of it in pre-season and then bangs GW1

          • 10 Years

I'm not worried about his rustiness, I'm worried about his position. If Slot wants Salah to keep the width and the majority of the chances are going to central players then he isn't worth 12.5m.

            • 10 Years

Yep. Thats the problem. Still think he'll tick over OK but he may not get the numbers of previous years. Tempts me to look at Gakpo or Nunez though

    But is this worth it

GW2 Transfer Saka out (Villa away) & bring in Palmer (Wolves away)

My thoughts are that advertising affects how people think. Gambling advertising normalises what is - because of how ruthless the bookies are - something which can very damaging.

Paul Metson’s BBC documentary is a great illustration of the harm the bookies do.

Not saying it should be banned at all. I have the odd bet and I enjoy it. What I feel is that bookies exploitative practices should be curbed.

I would rather have Chris Wood than Havertz and get another premium defender. I have a very similar team but went for a 4.5 forward to get Trent in

You think a better defender and Wood score more points than Havertz? Not convinced but I get your thought process

It’s nice when your only remaining decisions are

    Areola or Flekken
    Odegaard or Bruno

    😎

    If they all start, thoughts?

    Raya
    Trent - White - Livramento
    Gordon - Jota - Szoboszlai - Johnson
    Haaland - Isak - Havertz
    (Fabianski - Konsa - Sangare - Stewart)

      Johnson a risk for minutes.
Jota and Szobo both poor FPL choices.

Szobo is playing as a 10.
        Jota should start up front
        Johnson is nailed

He said he has no number 9 available vs Betis, but Jota wasn’t in the squad for that match

Szobo and Jota will lose out to Salah consistently on points.

          Johnson never nailed.
