Oh yeah, long run I was thinking into next year given horrible near-term fixtures anyway. But maybe Greaves then yep, there are no good 4.0 remaining really. I think Soton are a better defence than Ipswich but not much in it!

Probably Greaves who should be back this week but unlikely any of them get you much in the way of points- better to stretch to Andersen at 4.3

filter the transfers list on FPL to 4m and sort by mins played. I've got Hardwood-Bellis, he plays and that's all one can expect from 4m this season.

Burgess from Ipswich played the last four games 90 mins at 3.9. Don't know if he is nailed long term? Dara O'Shea is overlooked imo at 4.0. Scored four goals last season for Burnley and started every game from GW4 onwards.

Burgess has done well but Greaves is very much first choice, if he’s fit then think he comes straight back in

He will have been on a private jet so can’t see him not playing- Arsenal need him too much particularly with White out

Exactly. He’s nailed and Arteta doesn’t like to change his CBs

Never thought I would say this at the start of the season. But I think he is needed to defend Chris Wood at set pieces. Don't see Arteta going without him. Forest is a tricky opponent.

So Mbeumo only has one goal and zero assists in his away games this season. Is it even worth starting him against Everton away?

He has yet to play Everton away! But really depends who else you have. I have Wood who I prefer to bench vs ARS than Mbeumo and I think others have similar choices.

That’s a good question to ask and a close one considering Bruno’s form and fixtures. I’ve got both but I’d probably go with Palmer. You never know when he’s going to haul big again and you won’t need to sell him soon.

What would you consider a reasonable notice/planning period for the mystery chip? I think anything later than the first week of December (GW14) deadline is irresponsible from FPL. I appreciate it's unlikely to be anything truly game changing but even if it was just a double captaincy, for example, and somebody wanted to play it ASAP and bring Haaland in that requires some planning.

I get why they've tried something new with the mystery chip but it's very gimmicky and I feel like there should be no secrets going into the 'busy period', which is this GW onwards really.

Personally, I’d be tempted to hold. I’m signing Son on wc and no Bruno or Saka. The next 4 for Arsenal aren’t as good as the ticker looks and after the next 2 Man U have a tough few games and unsure how Amorim will set up. Son could destroy the City right flank then Fulham at home, where Spurs tend to be better, then three games which look ok from an attack perspective (especially CHE and sou). I just don’t think there’s a rush to get either of the others until 16/17 at the expense of Son (disclaimer: could backfire badly)

        • 12 Years

Yeh I get tour thinking. Son was always a 2/3 gw punt for me. He’s not worth his price tag for his returns and early subbing. Imho. Watch that backfire.

I’m sticking with Son. He’s been a big part of Spurs attacks that have caused better City defences than this problems - and many goals conceded - over recent years. And some nice fixtures to come afterwards

The only way you’re getting Salah in is dumping Haaland or Palmer for a -4. Palmer would be definitely staying.
Are you prepared to take out Haaland for a -4?

Almost every one has Salah now. Getting him will only keep you floating instead of dropping like a stone. Betting against him and captain Haaland can get you back up. Maybe transfer out Solanke or Wood to Cunha or J.P / Welbeck to maximize points this week? If you don't want to captain Haaland you could also captain Palmer. Wait for the pressers, some flagged players in there..

      How much cash available?

Trent to cheapie, Solanke to Pedro and Johnson to Salah is an option if you can afford.

Those 3 moves are the 3 I was weighing up. Though might now go Trent to konate, Johnson to palmer and keep Solanke

Are Spurs usually worse away from home? Do we think City will pump them hard with Romero and VDV missing?

Tough to predict City at this stage.

One would expect them to have used the IB as an opportunity to revive themselves for the game this weekend. Losing 3 games in a row is unlike Pep ,however, I’m pretty sure it would be an attacking game from City with goals because Spurs are simply shite, IPS just ate them in their own backyard

    Best option here?

    A) B.Johnson/Haaland > Salah/Isak

    B) TAA/B.Johnson/Watkins > Hall/Salah/J.Pedro (-4)

    Raya
    TAA Konsa Robinson
    Palmer Mbeumo Rogers Semenyo
    Haaland Watkins Cunha

    4.0 B.Johnson Lewis Greaves

Would you play Lewis (vs Spurs) or Aina (vs Arsenal) this week?
Currently on Lewis but he's rubbish isn't he?

    Is this transfer worth -4?

    Haaland + Johnson + Rogers >>> Isak + Palmer + Bruno

    Will have a midfield of:

Salah, Palmer, Bruno, Son and Mbeumo.
