After a record day for traffic on the site, we’re expecting a further surge for this morning’s crunch before deadline. As a result, we’ve opened our Surgery Chatroom nice and early to help relieve the pressure on comments and give you the option of real-time feedback.

A reminder to our members that the members area has its own domain at members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk should we experience any issues on the main site this morning.

The wait for the new season is almost over, the urge to carry out last minute tinkering building. We’ll follow this up with the first Pre-amble of the season and there we’re over to the Dugout Discussion just before the fist kick-off at 3pm. Exciting.

      Michu has the easier fixtures, I have paired him up with Graham, but will be getting Pienaar in too. Petric fixtures aren't amazing after GW1.

    Is Aaron Hughes going to start? I’ve seen a few predicted lineups have Baird starting instead.

    I’m considering Cuellar for the long-term (bench him against Arsenal) but is he likely to start most games when Wes Brown is back?

    Is Nelson from QPR a guaranteed starter? I’m wondering if Onouha will play as a centre-back with Ferdinand, especially in the near future as they’ve just signed Bosingwa for right-back.

      Not sure about Hughes, but I think that Cuellar is likely to start for a while. IMO Nelson should start, but not 100% sure if he will.

    If there is 1 thing people should have learnt over the last few seasons is NEVER MAKE A CHANGE TO YOUR TEAM AFTER 11:00AM ON A SATURDAY MORNING because there is always someone on here around 3:30 in the afternoon complaining that a player they had has scored.

    For anyone debating Cole vs Iva, Chelsea are set to sign a good new left back next week, so Iva will come under threat very soon. Iva might still be good for the DGW, but you'll have a headache not far down the line...
