After a record day for traffic on the site, we’re expecting a further surge for this morning’s crunch before deadline. As a result, we’ve opened our Surgery Chatroom nice and early to help relieve the pressure on comments and give you the option of real-time feedback.

A reminder to our members that the members area has its own domain at members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk should we experience any issues on the main site this morning.

The wait for the new season is almost over, the urge to carry out last minute tinkering building. We’ll follow this up with the first Pre-amble of the season and there we’re over to the Dugout Discussion just before the fist kick-off at 3pm. Exciting.

    Looked at Petric over Pog, and looked at dropping Kag to money in the bank for Torres>RVP. I'm tempted to risk Marv after managers comments in his favour. Would like Nasri over Yaya but can't free up cash. Looked at Rafael & Nelsen>Cuellar & Hughes but horses for courses. Cheers in advance.

      Do not like to have a reserve GK as my reserve.

      Like your double ManU coverage at the back though. Pondered that myself during the past night.

      Go with Yaya over Nasri.

      Do not like Nelsen. Lot of competition among the QPR CBs now.

      Also do not get the Hughes hype.

      McAnuff is probably your best bet if you can afford - Guthrie and Leighterwood play deep whereas the wingers are more attacking. Robson-Kanu looks likely to start on the wings too, but is more of a rotation risk.

      All of them will likely start today. Harte have a significant threat in Shorey lurking, but Demel and Clyne should be fairly nailed-on for the foreseeable future. Demel is pretty bad from what I've seen though, so would not be surprised if he got replaced.
