After a record day for traffic on the site, we’re expecting a further surge for this morning’s crunch before deadline. As a result, we’ve opened our Surgery Chatroom nice and early to help relieve the pressure on comments and give you the option of real-time feedback.

A reminder to our members that the members area has its own domain at members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk should we experience any issues on the main site this morning.

The wait for the new season is almost over, the urge to carry out last minute tinkering building. We’ll follow this up with the first Pre-amble of the season and there we’re over to the Dugout Discussion just before the fist kick-off at 3pm. Exciting.

    To those of you with Fonte in your team; please think about the straight swap to Clyne. Nige has reaffirmed we are after 2 cb's and my view is Fonte is under threat... Chances are that by the time you want to play him, he'll be no longer a guaranteed starter, we're ll expecting Clyne to keep the RB slot for the season.

    With that, I wish you all well as I ponder why I'm the only one with beausejour in his team!
