FPL Hall of Fame Gameweek 1 team reveals: World’s best managers

Four of the best managers in Fantasy Football Scout’s Hall of Fame have exclusively revealed their Fantasy Premier League (FPL) teams ahead of Friday’s Gameweek 1 deadline!

These are the cream of the crop, the FPL bosses who haven’t just racked up one outstanding overall rank but several of them.

Our star-studded quartet are:

  • Abinav C (rank 3rd): Finished 193rd in the world last season, which was their second time in the top 1k and fourth in the top 10k. Hasn’t finished outside the top 50k in any of the last nine seasons.
  • Rob Mayes (rank 6th): Hasn’t been outside the top 30k in the last nine years, finishing top 1k on two occasions and top 10k on a further two.
  • Gideon Moss (rank 7th): Followed up a top 2k finish in 2023/24 by finishing 11th in the world last season. Has another top 4k rank to their name on top of this.
  • Niklas Nylander (rank 15th): A top 1k finish in 2024/25, their second such overall rank. They posted top 10k finishes in 2023/24 and 2022/23, too.

    Genuinely think Spurs and NFO are the only teams that will keep a CS this GW1(not even sold on Spurs.. would be so Spursy to concede to a team like Burnley at home).

      Not a fan of the Diouf pick in the slightest mate, playing for West Ham and all. Plenty better 4.5m defenders imho.

            Haha, depends if you have any Villa cover elsewhere. Their fixtures are too good to ignore and for the extra 0.5m Rogers (if fit) is a much better fit. Could you get to both Rogers and Murillo?

      Are there any stats available for Neco Williams' defcon contributions for last season? Most are familiar with the Murillo and Milenkovic, it'd be interesting to see how Neco faired given his limited gametime.

        That problem with the App appeared last year and caught a fair few out.

        I prefer the browser.

        But the App is more reliable if traffic is crashing the site close to deadline for late transfers.

        Tbf the 90 minute deadline kyboshed most leaks.

          I have BB set. Sometimes when I check the website, my BB has been deactivated.
          Sometimes when I check the app, by BB has been deactivated.
