Kicking-off his side’s double Gameweek, Roberto Di Matteo is forced to leave out Ramires due to illness, giving Ryan Bertrand an out-of-position start. The rest is as expected, with David Luiz getting the nod ahead of Gary Cahill, and Eden Hazard handed a league debut.
As for the home side, Roberto Martinez can call upon the services of James McArthur after the Scottish midfielder recovered from a knee injury. Elsewhere, Jean Beausejour misses out with Antolin Alcaraz starting in defence. That will likely see Maynor Figueroa pushed up into midfield if Martinez sticks to his 3-4-3 formation.
