Morning lads. Horror opening GW for me from a Norwich perspective. I'll just pretend it didn't happen!

I know it sounds very knee-jerky, but tempted to go for Sinclair->Michu. I do have Aguero, but I want to make the most of the price rises for Michu. He's already gone up one, I feel he will go again. Advice on whether to do the Michu trade or wait for Aguero first?

first draft for wildcard team this week

    schwarzer, begovic
    rafael, kaboul, cuellar, hughes, demel
    bale, mclean, dyer, kalakinic, michu

Its gw1 wih games still to play so please stop posting your score. Look at the average, your mini-leagues to determine if you have a decent week. Believe it or not you are given a weekly rank as well. Avoid having weeks where you are in the millions and you will have a good season.

Difference between this and last season is that

    last season we all bought

    Moses Sessegron Taarbaat Boselli etc
and they did nothing at the start ,

    this season
    Michu Pertic Hazard Lambart
    Hit the ground running

What are everyone's thoughts on Southampton after yesterdays performance? We didn't expect them to win but surely didn't expect them to push City so hard for a result..I know they won't be able to maintain such an intense level all season long either...

So what are you guys thinking of them....you think they can offer defensive investment as well as attacking investment (which seems a little more obvious if one had to invest now)? Could they well be Swansea Version 2.0?

Fox in defense at 4.5 (also on corners) looks tasty as a 4th-5th defender...isnt he also a decent freekick taker?i remember him scoring a few for Burnley.

As a Saints season ticket holder I've seen them play the ball on the ground for 2 seasons now. They hardly ever hoof it and methodically play it from the back. You will see the odd ball played to Lambert over the midfield but it's rare. Fox is a god bet but Hooiveld goes up for corners. They will play like this every game - just watch them.

    Is this actually obvious?

GW2, Petric (mun) or Yaya (liv)

There are already Zaba and Tevez (liv) on the field, and Hangeland (mun) waiting on the bench.

And now I just realized that 2 CHEs, 3 MCIs, 3 SWAs, and 2 FULs are too much of a stretch.

Which Chelsea player should I get rid of before GW2...

A - Cole -> Tottenham defender (No other Spurs defence)

B - Mata -> Valencia/Nani (No other Man Utd attack)

C - Torres -> Somebody 10.0 or less, other strikers are Podolski and Tevez

    Cheers!!

Mata as a priority. As much as Torres is not reliable, he's the only striker Chelsea have, so nailed on all time and surely matter of time for him to score. So stick with Torres for now. Cole to Spurs defence makes sense too for a hit.

i think c on the basis that tottenham don't seem very stable at the back under avb. valencia and nani are pretty big rotation risks. now with aguero carrying an injury, i think you have to get tevez

The team I'm planning for gwk 2 is:

    DDG (Federici)
Lescott - Saylor - Barnett (Hangeland, Demel)
    Guthrie - Maloney - Michu - Hazard - Silva
    Graham - Torres

Should I take a 4 point hit and swap Aguero for Tevez

      very sloppy.
yaya was a bit of disappointment at start of match too, some sloppy passes, but improved later on in the game.

hazard's passing wasn't too good either. (except for assist). he misplaced a few, and a bad back pass which would have led to goal scoring potential, if it wasn't wigan

So, although I've gotten a low score so far this game week, I'm pretty happy with my team, everyone has played and there looks to be alot of potential... I've done n'zog->michu as that looked to be the only major thing wrong... I think I'll keep Torres for gw2. whoever I bring in for him will be 9.5mil or less anyway if he does drop.
