With the game between Fulham and West Ham at 12pm, today’s Matchday Surgery has turned into an early Dugout Discussion. It’s essentially the same thing however, just follow this link to our chatroom for pre-deadline discussion.

  • Blackpool Vs. Liverpool – OFF

It was always going to be the most likely Premier League game to fall foul of the weather, and that has proved true. A frozen Bloomfield Road pitch is once again responsible for the postponement.

  • Everton Vs. Birmingham City – OFF

Having passed the “key test” live on Sky Sports News yesterday morning (yeah, I was watching Sky Sports News on Christmas morning), this cancellation comes as somewhat of a surprise. The reason for this game being off is “due to the adverse weather conditions in Liverpool overnight the stadium is not in a fit condition to stage a Premier League football match”, as given on the Everton website.

If any more games are called off before the Fantasy Premier League deadline, I’ll update this article and announce it in the chatroom.

    I hate this emergency captain rule!! I was torn between Nani and Tevez and opted for Nani. However if i set it to form it would have gone to Nasri, if i went for value, its Drogba. Why can't you choose your vice captain!!

      I think that VC rule should be changed as well. You should be able to select your VC and not deal with that value/form shit.

      And if both do not play, you get big fat zero points. VC shouldn't go to next player.

    emergency captain is fckin wank! I got berbatov in last minute and captained him over nani as I heard he'd been ill. Do i get rewrded for my cunning? no as my rival captained nani but will now get tevez auto captain.
    I don't think there should be a reserve captain, I prefered the old way. Fk the casual players, they don't fkn care for fks sake!
