A neck injury could keep John Terry from facing up to Papiss Cisse and company at the Bridge. Chico is a doubt for Swansea as they prepare to host the Hammers, who will be boosted by the fleet feet of new signing Matt Jarvis at the Liberty.

Wojciech Szczesny is a minor doubt for Arsenal’s battle at the Britannia. Sir Alex Ferguson primes Robin Van Persie for a start against Fulham, in the hope that he’ll provide the goals to compensate for the injuries at the back – despite press rumours, the United boss confirms that his array of crocked defenders remain sidelined.

All this and more has been collected and collate for you, along with our punt on the lineups for the Gameweek fixtures, over in the team news section.

We’ll update this right through the evening and up to tomorrow’s deadline. Keep ’em peeled for the very latest via the Twitter feed.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I did a fun team yesterday on a new account so that I would have a similar setup - mine reads

      Mignolet(4 M)
      Baker / Cuellar / jenkinson (Demel/McCartney)
Hazard / Michu / Kagawa / Cazorla (Barfa)
      Tevez / Adebayor / Suarez

its a "dont change any attacking players all season team" Since I have 3 (4.0) defenders I will use rotations and free trannies to pick and choose for the gameweeks. Will use wildcard during int break to try and make some cash so that I can have two 5.0 defenders playing in this setup. Not worth doing for my real team, but a fun experiment nonetheless.

    Repost:
    Degay
    cole gorks clyne (hangeland kaboul)
    michu tarabt valencia nasri (ramires)
    tevez torres podolski

    Quick few questions:
    1. who to make cpt?
    2. my def is weak, have 0 in the bank so should i transfer out kaboul (although he will be back next week so not keen to take him out). i can take out gorkss but dont see any def at 4m who will keep a clean sheet so might as well save a transfer.
    3. Want to take out ramires since his price will drop tomz but he is not in my starting line up and if i save a transfer, i can take out both tarabt and ramires next week to bring in bale.

    All answers welcome!

Question for the more senior residents on this site.

Been playing FF for 4 seasons and I always finish 20-50k without fail. What pushes you into the next band?

1)Team Value allowing more valuable players
2)Restrict taking hits to a minimum
3)Conversely taking hits for a given GW (DGW)
    4)Making transfers early/late
5)Or just getting very lucky with a budget player who explodes?

I'd say a combination of 2 and 5. Not a senior FPL player, but the consensus seems that you never take a hit.

I'm trying out 1, and hoping as the weeks go on and more casual players forget about FPL I'll be able to make key GW transfers later on in the week.

Also take into account the in the FFS podcast, both FFS writers scored around 50-something. GW1 was whack.

      2) Yes
      3) No

      5) To be very high up the ranking is pure luck.

I was inside 1k last year and wouldn't call it luck. It was consistency - I've never been inside 1k for a particular gameweek, rarely being inside 10k, but I scored 60+ numerous times.

You can diversify your team when it comes to big hitters, have a reliable captain each week (good, in form team playing at home) and rotate the defence. Sometimes the luck to get the right player from a team may be decisive, i.e. Hazard vs. Mata this term or Cisse vs. Ba last season.

42 turning 422 in October senior enough? Been playing since 2007. I can get you into top 5k. Nothing more.

1.TV is important, but not everything.Pick the successful players and TV sorts itself out.
      2. Yes. Why did you take a hit? Hopefully not to chase TV?
3.A -4 hit for a DGW seems to work in most instances. Saty away from DGW defenders though unless the fxitures are to good to be true.
      4. Always late. Always.
      5. That helps.

Bottom line - "Less is more in FPL"

i've only done fpl last season but i finished around 5000 so my advice might not be great. i got a good start so team value was always good but i kept most those players, only cashing in on a few, like silva when he dropped form late in the season. i watched probably about 70% of all the games. it amazes me that anyone can do well just looking at stats or highlight reels, they never tell you the whole story of who will be good in the future. also form over fixtures, find players that are hitting form and play them home and away against anybody. don't take hits. and unless price changes will affect a transfer wait until friday to make your transfers.

Wasn't uninvolved. Made 244 successful passes over the two games, more than any other player.

Just played a little too deep in the Reading game to be involved in the sharp end of attacks. May surprise a few people this weekend but the sound startegy is if you have a free transfer not needed anywhere else then get rid (for Cazorla out of your options).

    Cech
    Rafael - Zabaleta - Clyne
    Cazorla - Bale - Mata - De Guzman - N'Zogbia
    Torres - Tevez
    subs: Jussi, Petric, Gorkss, Nelsen

I feel bad benching Petric, but I think the game may end like last season - with Fulham failing to score a single goal.

Should I do Mata -> Ben Arfa + Torres -> Rooney? I thought about making these transfers before after GW2 to avoid hits and take advantage of better fixtures, but with price rises I may not be able to conclude it. Or should I do just Mata -> Kagawa?

I thought I can make it even until January transfer window (and free WC) with only 4 nailed on defenders. The problem is Rafael isn't a guaranteed starter :). Last year I got the backline of Krul / Vorm + Kompany, Ward (switched to Baines around GW13), Warnock and De Laet from GW3 (early WC) to January WC and I was doing quite good being around 15k mark by January.

Nelsen is my last year's De Laet. The good thing is he can be transferred out as soon as after GW3, when I plan to WC and raise funds.

      2) What QPR players will play more/better than him? (Hoilett comes to mind, followed by Taraabt)

Terry being injured is a pain (literally for him) as I just took Mata out, now contemplating a pointless (or should it be point-ful) point hit, is it worth it to get in a defender who might score etc?

I'm in the same boat.. defenders find it hard to repay the hit, however in this case he has a blank afterwards.

I'm going to leave him and hope.

Wildcard done... I tried holding out I really did... but I had Aguero injured... Rafael who probably wont be playing, plus cole, mata, torres, pog & gunter who all miss gw3. So I figure it's probably a good time to use it.. even though it's so early on :o(

I've gone for a team that I think should score relatively well for the next 6-7 weeks before needing any considerable changes...

    any tips? (c)?

    De Gae (fed)

    Zab - Cole - Cuellar (demel & 4m)

Michu - Bale - Kagawa - McClean (Noble)

Hey guys I noticed loads of players got really high scores this week and I don't want to be left behind

Obviously I've just transferred in Ivanovic. At his current rate of scoring he will score 912 points all season which sounds awesome!!

How could I not overlook Gary Cahill who scored a trademark 30 yard goal from a goalie error. Hes in for my first hit

Hazard looks a must have with a projected 798 points so I've just got him in for another hit.

Thats the easy decisions out of the way. Now the hard ones.

Firstly Duff or Kightly? They are really cheap but at 494 and 418 projected points each they are irresistible, Im sure they're gonna score every week.

Now De Gea was going to a season keeper for me but I was so disappointed that they let in a goal to crappy EVERTON! How are they going to keep any clean sheets like this?? Should I get in Jaaskelainen, hes well cheap and did better. Actually scratch that. It's between Davis and Foster for penalty saves.

Finally, Zoltan Gera or Danny Guthrie?
