      they won't as he has a football philosophy that they're fond of. if you think about it they have never really not supported a manager who has an attacking philosophy in the past.

        But do they have the players that can support that philosophy that he inherited from Martinez? Signings so far have failed to shine (early days of course but Hodgson had very little time before they were out for his blood) I like Rodgers personally.

          i think they most definitely do not have the players to get the results that the fans would expect. Rodgers signings have been good so far I reckon- Joe Allen has been their best player so far this year, though borini has been really awful.

          With regard to hodgson, there was never a chance that he would stay long in any top 6/7 team. His football is absolutely horrendous. Without a doubt his time at Liverpool was the worst i have ever seen them play. He also signed some players that were not even premier league standard. I reckon Hodgson lasted longer at Liverpool than he would at any other club. Anyone who watched those games will know it was very painful on the eyes (probably more fun watching paint dry). the top teams fans will always expect attacking football.

            Joe Allen was good. Borini was a poor one but maybe he'll liven up. As for Hodgson, the man is a type of manager that once he gets into a team for a while he can produce results. I genuinely feel that Rodgers was brought in with the expectation that he'd have the exact same success that he had at Swansea, that's why I wonder if they'll turn on him.

            As for top teams always wanting attacking football, I agree but 2 things on that.
            1: The fans expect attacking football but also expect goals, Pool have no really defined goalscorer which Rodgers probably should have looked into.
            2: Chelsea fans were happy to play the defensive to win the CL ( Okay, that was more of a sly dig, I do actually agree that they expect attacking ball)

      I honestly don't know if he will or not, would think so but can't be sure. Think this could be a big mistake however, the Saints gave City a tough time of it and he decides to play Linde who hasn't played a prem match yet this season.
