This was a Gameweek littered with outstanding performances, particularly in midfield where the array of talent jostling for spots in our squad now presents a major headache. This week’s bumper edition of “Big Numbers” for members carries out the usual exploration of the stats behind the Gameweek, with midfield options across all the price brackets gaining momentum and our keen interest…
This sound ok, bale + de gea/zab to haz + foster/mcualey with 0.5 spare? cheers
Open ControlsI have wildcarded so will play the price game.
I might even enjoy Hazards rise then ditch him for Bale who will have dropped!
How about that eh!!! Well until the coffee subsides anyway!Open ControlsThinking of changing my WC approach to go with RVP, Tevez, and Pog up front, and a midfield of Hazard, Carzola, Yaya, HBA, and Michu.
The defense will be awful, but even when I pay for good defenders I always seem to miss out on clean sheets anyway.Open Controlsthinking the same
pog not a bad shout with fixtures coming up esp spurs?Open ControlsThis isnt a bad idea, I would cut Yaya to 6.5-7 and up defence a bit
Open Controlshard to dump Yaya at this point, but it probably makes sense.
Open Controlscare to share the defence?
Open ControlsI have Jaask, Begovic, Ridgewell and Demel than I plan to keep.
Then I have Rangel, Jenkinson and Rafael that I hope to sell after they rise again. It would be nice to turn Rafael into Koscielny.Open Controls
yaya to pienaar and pog to fletcher

What to do with Fabio and Noble? Are there better options for the same-ish price? Both may go down today ðŸ™
Would prefer to wait with transfers but hate to lose money on them too. Argh!Open ControlsI have Fabio but will have to take the hit as other issues are more important. Think he will be worth holding onto as QPR's fixtures settle (he seems nailed on so far as well)
Noble seems like an issue you need to address now. The kneejerk would be Nolan if you can afford him? or Maloney...Open Controlsi have similar dilemma. noble & most of my defence. i dunno - not gonna take a hit though - will work on it over the next month or so
Open Controls
Which would you rather have?
A. Adebayor + N'Zogbia;
B. Berbatov + Cazorla (-4);
or
C. Torres + Nolan (-4)Open ControlsC closely followed by B.
N'Zogbia is gone from my squad, only had 1 attempt on goal in 200 minutes of footballOpen Controls
as noted above, how about:
Bale --> Matt Taylor
Podolski --> RVP
full team currently:
Schwarzer, Jaaskelainen
Ridgewell, Cuellar, Lescott, Vermaelen, Clark
Bale, Ben Arfa, Pienaar, Michu, Hazard
Podolski, Tevez, PogrebnyakOpen Controlsopinions?
Open ControlsI'd prefer Maloney/Guthrie/Sterling but not a bad move. Podolski out for a hit before a home game with Southampton too. But I suppose RVP is almost essential at this rate.
Open Controlsyeah, Southampton (home) favorable, followed by Man City (away) and Chelsea (home) for Arsenal
planning to wait to do the Podolski --> RVP, as the latter is not yet about to rise in price yetOpen Controls
Right - all business done. Tomorrow, guys. 🙂
Open ControlsNight Doos. I recommend you give this a read before you decide to step into bed though:

The forgotten man that will improve Spurs prospects.. never been mentioned since deadline day.....
Clint DempseyOpen ControlsI said that earlier. I think next gameweek will se the return of Captain America. I think everyone feels it in their bones.
Open ControlsHe'll be playing two international fixtures before then, interested to see how fit he is.
Open ControlsI saw while I was watching the Barca v Valencia stream that he and Donovan weren't listed in the squad.
Open ControlsDonovan's not. Dempsey just called up. http://nesoccertoday.com/?p=15218
Open Controls
Adebayor
Bale, Sigg, Dempsey
Dembele, Whoever
Doesn't look half bad!Open Controlsyup how much is he now ?
Open Controls
Ugh, it looks like I may have to swap Marveux for Guthrie this week for my FT. Marveux is close to dropping, and Guthrie should rise later as people deploy their WCs...
Open ControlsI'm sure this has been asked but do you guys reckon it's worth a hit to ship Bale for Hazard/Cazorla/Toure?
Open ControlsNo, not for a hit. Think about it? Whoever you pick would have to score and Bale do nothing to get a profit. Think about it
Open ControlsSo Bale just needs to keep doing what he is doing already? Worth the hit IMO based on the first 3 GW's.
Open Controlsyup, cazorla, hazard and yaya have both scored in their last game and actually done something whilst bale hasn't done nothing
it's all about form, take a hit in my opinion, I am myselfOpen ControlsI took a hit on Cazorla out last week for Barfa
Barfa scored and played well. But I still came out at a loss.
I see the logic, but whoever you pick has to deliver the goods I guessOpen Controls
Thanks for the input guys. It's the price changes that are worrying me.
Open ControlsIf its the price changes concerning you then definitely get rid of Bale he is going down tonight
Open Controls
De Gea, Tremmel
Baines, McAuley, Cuellar, Demel, Ben Davies (Swansea)
Hazard, Ben Arfa, Yaya Toure, Michu, Maloney
Van Persie, Jelavic/Carroll, Lambert
…..thoughts? Eventually Tremmel will get upgraded to a proper keeper.Open ControlsI would change the keepers if this is a wildcard. De Gea is not nailed on. Foster Begovic perhaps?
Open ControlsNot anymore. He's been awful for club and country during pre-season. Begovic is the man.
Open Controls
After being burnt by Fergie today, I was consdiering that. But I don't want to be without United and City defensive coverage - even though they've been awful so far, it will eventually get better.
Foster is a good shout, thanks.Open ControlsIn defence there is no such thing as 'coverage'. A cs is a cs no matter which team gets it. I think players like Baines and Verm are special in that they bring significant attacking returns and CSs.
Open Controls
DDG / Fed
A. Cole / Rangel / Ridgewell / Demel / Bennett
Hazard / Cazorla / Kagawa / Kacaniklic / Puncheon
RVP / Tevez / Graham
Not fully happy with my team (mainly keepers/defence) but don't think it's bad enough to warrant a WC. Already done my transfers this week (1 hit).Open ControlsWho rotates best with Foster? I thought Begovic but concerned about Sorenson... Have Demel in defence so would prefer not Jussi...
Open ControlsIs it worth getting RVP then? I'm gonna sleep on it coz he isnt due to rise tonight, but he is bloody expensive. And obviously it would require me to take a 4 point hit. £2.2m in the bank.
Michu Noble Fellaini Bale Kagawa
Torres Bent Tevez
Will probably get rid of Bent. He's been naff. But means I need to downgrade a mid.Open ControlsWho is more accurate for price drop so far? FISO or TFPL?
Wondering if Noble will drop in price tonight.Open ControlsYou know what there hasnt been enough of around here? Kagawa discussion.
I reckon he could be Fergie's "fall-guy" that gets subbed off when things arent going right. Similar to how Benitez used to always sub Benayoun off or Sturridge at Chelsea last season.Open ControlsReal quandary with what to do with Bent also. I have Cazorla and Verm so Podly might be too much coverage. Don't really want to make a transfer so early but Bent will drop
Open ControlsCertainly looks an option but he is prone to injury. Think i'm going sacrifice a price drop and wait until after the internationals with my transfer
Open Controls
any idea who to replace pogre for? have 3.2 m in my bank
Open ControlsGuys..I had 4 only points for 2 consecutive weeks from all defenders and GK. Is it a sign for WC? also I can have extra 1.5-2.0 money? Thanks in advance..
Open Controlsguys ive just taken a 8pt hit mainly cause im drunk but im hoping u see there is at least a slight chance it paying off...
bale nasri zaba > cazorla hazard davies (swans)Open ControlsMy money is on you being down
Open Controls
Pulled trigger on the wildcard , a day late but de gay and van persie forced the issue . Dropped from 545 to 4000 in one day
Open Controls- Open Controls
Not entirely sure if I'm feeling shallow enough to WC purely for Value but I did make a team out of the funds I have currently and it'd look like this:
Jussi/Al Habsi (or Foster)
Ridgewell Demel Reid Clark Gibbs
Hazard Cazorla Barfa Pienaar Morrison
Tevez Rvp Pog
That's a total of 7 changes (4 defence, RVP, Santi and Morrison)
I can see the logic to doing it for value but I would feel so dirty doing itOpen Controlsthat's front 8 will score some points for you
Open ControlsThe problem is I have Hazard, Barfa, Pienaar, Tevez and Pog already. Morrison would be easily acquired by downgrading McClean and would give me enough to go Kagawa > Santi if I wanted. The defence is where I've spent too much on right now, If I could free up the money then I could afford RVP but is it worth it if your team is looking ok-ish for next GW?
Open Controls
So....what do you all think of my new team???
Schwarzer
Cuellar Williams Baines
Ben-Arfa Santi Michu Hazard
RVP Tevez Fletcher
Subs: Jussi, McCartney,Clyne, GuthrieOpen ControlsA team that picks itself every week is usualy not good
Open Controls
Well I did it I went for form over fixtures and got rid of bale and transferred Cazorla in.
First 4 point hit of the season, mainly because I wanted a decent captain choice and I was not prepared to use 12 points to get RVP and unsettle my squad...
My free transfer was Nasri out Hazard in. I hope my early transfer luck of last season holds up.Open ControlsWho will replace Taylor in the Swansea defence?
Open Controlsthey are saying davies on here. left back 4m.
Open ControlsThat willl do me , need all the 4.00 defenders i can lay my hands on to fund massive tiop 8
Open Controlsmaybe not
MICHAEL LAUDRUP will explore the free-agent list to try to find emergency cover for injury victim Neil Taylor.
The Swansea manager yesterday discovered the devastating news Taylor will be out for the season after brekaing his ankle in three places after a challenge with Sunderland’s Craig Gardner during Saturday’s 2-2 draw at the Liberty Stadium.
The lengthy loss of the Wales defender has left Laudrup short of natural cover at left-back just days after the transfer window closed.
And although rookie Ben Davies impressed in Taylor’s place at the weekend, Laudrup is reluctant to place too much pressure on the 19-year-old.

Open Controls
Davies seems the likely choice
Open Controls
Urgh.. was set on keeping Bale. Still am.. but I only have 12min / 42min to change my mind before price drop.
Someone help?Open ControlsDepends on what else you've got planned, I wouldn't.
Open ControlsHmm. Is this reverse psychology Parmtree?
ARgHggHGGHH!! Get out of my head!Open Controls
See my comment above....
Open ControlsLose Bale man. It's not his fault that he has an incompetent manager. I've already swapped him for Hazard, whose manager is the exact opposite - he works to his players' strengths.
Open ControlsAgree Isacki its Bale but not as we know it. AVB has transformed him to Downing....
Open ControlsWeeellll I wouldn't go that far 😀 but my impression is that Harry realized he had a bunch of fast, skilful dribblers so he used that strength by playing them on the wing. AVB just seems to have tried to impose his passing system on them regardless of whether it suits them or not. History repeating itself from last year.
Open ControlsWell put. I saw that whole Norwich v Spurs game on TV mainly to watch "the system" I think "the project" is a long way off for AVB.
Open ControlsAh you saw the whole match! Yeah luckily I watched Spurs v West Brom the previous week and discovered how crap they were 😀
Open Controls
For me, it isn't worth the 100 thousand pounds to risk injury over the international break. I'm keeping Bale for now and may sell him in a couple of weeks before the deadline.
Open ControlsI would keep if I had him! He hasn't become a bad player over night and the next 2 fixtures look good. They will surely come good..
Open ControlsI think the trouble is my the time Bale starts scoring/assisting it will be after those to fixtures. That spurs team are not settled at all.
Open Controls
Cazorla has southampton at home and bang in form....does that help?
Open ControlsKeep him, oh how we will laugh when the sob stories roll in next gw... 😉
Open ControlsYup. Moment of weakness is over.
I've decided 2 more games then I'll review.
100k/200k drop is worth the differential value.Open Controls
