Who's the best defender for 6.6 - looking for some attacking returns but cant afford Baines/Vermaelen and doesant appear likely to be any clean sheets. For large parts of that game United played without a left winger as Welbeck drifted more central. This is why Kagawa wasn't so influential as players crowded his space. Welbeck is not a winger and for me he should take more of the blame than Kagawa for Uniteds inept performance for much of the game. The game changed when we switched to a 442 with wingers that stayed in their positions.
