Tonight sees the last three Premier League fixtures of 2010 take place, to put an end to a treacherous gameweek. Chelsea host Bolton, Arsenal travel to Wigan, and Liverpool and Wolves play slightly later in front of the cameras. Follow the action with us in our Dugout Discussion, which is open as usual.

The team news is coming through, and there is more rotation to endure…

Chelsea XI: Cech, Bosingwa, Ivanovic, Terry, Cole, Ramires, Essien, Lampard, Anelka, Drogba, Malouda.

Bolton XI: Jaaskelainen, Ricketts, Cahill, Knight, Robinson, Moreno, Holden, Muamba, Taylor, Kevin Davies, Elmander.

So Nicolas Anelka and Ramires start for the Champion’s at the expense of Salomon Kalou and John Obi Mikel respectively. For Bolton, Chung-Yong Lee’s departure to the Asia Cup sees a start for Rodrigo Moreno. No, I’ve not heard of him either.

Wigan XI: Al Habsi, Stam, Gary Caldwell, Alcaraz, Gohouri, Thomas, Diame, Cleverley, Watson, N’Zogbia, Rodallega.

Arsenal XI: Fabianski, Eboue, Squillaci, Koscielny, Sagna, Diaby, Rosicky, Denilson, Bendtner, Chamakh, Arshavin.

Huge changes for Arsenal tonight sees Samir Nasri dropped to the bench, and Robin van Persie left at home. In comes a totally different front six from the Chelsea game. No major surprises from the home team.

Liverpool XI: Reina, Johnson, Kyrgiakos, Skrtel, Konchesky, Kuyt, Gerrard, Lucas, Meireles, Torres, Ngog

Wolves XI: Hennessey, Zubar, Stearman, Berra, Elokobi, Foley, Milijas, Hunt, Jarvis, Ward, Ebanks-Blake

The long-awaited (and much needed) return of Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard is the major piece of team news from the 8pm game. Daniel Agger also returns for Liverpool, and takes his place on the bench.

THursday 30th December, Reuters News service, associated press.

A bizarre and unprecedented phenomenon was experienced around the world today, with thousands of women , mothers and girlfriends and wives alike, finding their male partners aged as low as 15 and as high as 50, hanging dead from the ethernet wires of their broadband connections.

Time of death seems to have been synchronised around the world as the equivalent of 9-930pm GMT, and authorities around the world are linking the deaths to a bizarre underground world cult.

IN a surprising twist, the main cult leaders, as yet unidentified, seem to have been paid tribute by most of the suicide-ees, with " thanks you greek bastard", " Fcuking ward for fcuk sake", and "florent you c*nt" being amongst the many slogans scrawled across the walls of the victims bedrooms.

One other lead the police have is that these mass suicides may be linked to a sleep related illness driving them bonkers, judging by several of the victims writing "Insomnia is a bastard, i can't go on like this" all over their walls of their filthy hovels.

    More to folow....

    Reuters news service.@

          Don't you think?

Deserved is one of my least favourite words in football but overall I found 1-1 to be fair yesterday.

Except that the Birmingham goal should not have stood of course.

What? No one that plays the way B'Ham played last night deserved anything. There was no ambition whatsoever, and their equaliser was offside, a foul and a hand ball all rolled into one. Just because United were below par doesn't mean they didn't deserve the win.

Hmmm fair enough. I loathe the way Birmingham play football. I just thought neither team created anything basically, and Birmingham did have some pressure for the last 20 minutes of the first half and the end of the second. If you, like United yesterday, win the chances by 2-1 it's hard to win the game.

Maybe United did deserve the win for trying to play football I suppose.
