Tottenham spring to life at the Madejski to bring the weekend’s action to a close. That gives us the opportunity to delve deeper, plunder the members area data and pick out the points of interest from the nine Premier League encounters so far…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I am going for Hazard because he is the only decent option I have. At the start of the season I got Bale with this gameweek and next gameweek in mind as captaincy choices.
But I lost faith last week...
      Captain Bale is my answer.

Man U are away to Liverpool, who are floundering, so it's got to be RVP captain. Beating Liverpool at home may now be relegated to second on Fergie's wish list, since MC are champions, but he will still have his team pumped up to the max

So I'm about to confirm Taarabt ➡ Sterling but there's 2 issues stopping me:

    1. The Gameweek isn't even over yet not to mind that the next GW is a week away.

    2. Options such as Kaca, Guthrie and Maloney might be better picks (can obviously afford all).

    Am I being too cautious?

Well, Sterling's rising and Taarabt's falling tonight (probably). Obviously, I'll still be able to afford it on Saturday morning but the value of the transfer would be more than I would've liked. I've played too safe regarding money so far (team value of just 100.4) for what it's worth...

Champions league this week and GW is not over. Id rather lose a bit of mula then take a hit to rectify an injury situation if one pops up tbh.

Saying that, I did De Gea to Foster last night to avoid a rise, so a bit much of me to say anything. But logically, id say wait.

Cheers for the input. That's usually the strategy I employ but it's hurt my team value badly this season so far. If I didn't take a hit last week, I'd easily click confirm right now

Np. Points more important then team value imo. Just wait it out and sit tight, it's the right thing to do, unless your looking at loosing lots of value.

It hurts to use a transfer at this stage of the season on a keeper but continuing to walk the DDG trail just seems like bad business with a price fall looming. Federici as his back up was the real managerial fail. Suck it up son.

Hardly a fail. Just very unfortunate if anything. Very unlike SAF to drop DDG for consecutive matches and insanely unlucky timing for Federici to not have a GW and then get injured in said GWs. Costly bit of misfortune though.

Unlucky, Johnson was playing well, hope the injuries ain't too serious. Just ditched Green for Jask, will make back my loss off him at least. Hate wasting a transfer on goalies. QPR were decent the weekend, far better in possession, Granero, Park and Faurlin linked well, defence far better. Need to start scoring a few, and get first win, then we should pick up the points.

Love to give you a definite answer, but I can't. Can't see Nelsen being dropped at the moment, plus MBia's best position is defensive midfield. He is supposed to be talented, and if he excels in that position, then will probably play there.

    A parable:
There came a time when a man bethought himself to dump Graham for Berba. He knew his ideas might be heretical, so he went to the Pharisees and posted before them this query: “Should a man forsake Graham for the wayward Berba, partaking thereby of a hit? Lo, he hath spent his talents and returneth with none, but shall I welcome him with open arms, slay the fatted calf for him and put him up in my front line with Tevez and RVP? Well do I know how Graham hath made faithful use of his talents, and plied the front line of Swansea through feast and (mostly) famine, and might well reap the rewards of patience, but should one not praise the return of the languid, insouciant genius that is Berb?”

The Pharisees chuckled indulgently and contemptuously replied that only folly could bring a man to cast his hits at the feet of the lugubrious Bulgarian in the face of the industrious Swansean’s constancy. “It is written that Graham will ultimately score more than Berb” sayeth the Pharisees.
And behold, the man hath kept Graham, and spurned the Berb. And it came to pass on the fourth gameweek of the season that the Berb did reap two goals and three baps, and Graham did lay a steaming two-point turd. And the man took thought and concluded that the Pharisees were f**king c**ts and that he should bloody well do what his gut told him to do.

      Hello!

Hmm. Well I just think that hits can be very good and that really isn't much use in having a set mind on whether to use them or not. I've traditionally been a player who often holds on a bit too long to certain players which is good at times and bad at times.

I wouldn't really do that hit you suggest, you're banking on Ivan getting something back instantly for that to be worth it. Defenders are less explosive so not as often worth hits imo

I took an 8 point hit in gw3 and it paid off in comparison to not (bringing in rvp, yaya and jenkinson in place of torres, santi and cashley)....and it allowed me to create the awesome attacking team that I currently have which has the longterm in mind...now to sort my defence

    no spurs cover so..

    A)Cazorla to Bale

    B) ignore spurs and do Petric to Berba lol

A would be silly at this point if you already have Cazorla.

B, I would wait till tomoro to see how Ba does. Best 3rd striker imo, but Berba is also very good.

Id say so with the next 6 fixtures. Looks promising. Other option would be Vorm/Howard at an extra 0.5.

I did think of Howard as another option and now that I look at it again he does have a good a relatively hiccup free run of fixtures over the next 10. Thanks. Hard to call the best cheap/midprice options but Everton have as good a chance of clean sheets as most.

Np. Long term its easier to jel a partner with Foster for rotation then the 5.5 keepers imo, but short term id say Howard looks as good a bet as any.

Reina if you wanted to be super crafty/ballsy. Nice fixtures from gw6, but no dice with clean sheets yet. I would not, but it's one under the radar that could pay off.

Anybody in the know for the best 4.0 playing MIDs in the UCL Fantasy game? Babel is the most selected, but he's no where near nailed on is he?

Gillet, RW for Anderlecht. Great find at 4.0.

Babel is definitely not nailed on.

Ajax's front 3 is Boerrigter, Sigthorsson and Sulejmani

Gillet will also get you RB points because his defensive work rate is tremendous (plays as a right wing back at times).

    Foster In DDG Out
    Dimitar in Petric Out.

Next gw I’ll cut out Lescott. Maybe I’ll get Ridgwell instead.

I already have demel, i don’t think I need Jaas, do I?. He’ll rise today so maybe I’ll get Begovic for Federici?

Foster and Jussi rotate pretty well up to GW13, which is peculiar since they are either Home together or Away together until GW15. One of them always has weak team to play on the away cycle up to that point
