Tottenham spring to life at the Madejski to bring the weekend’s action to a close. That gives us the opportunity to delve deeper, plunder the members area data and pick out the points of interest from the nine Premier League encounters so far…
Considering Bale or Hazard for the armband for this week, thoughts?
Open ControlsI am going for Hazard because he is the only decent option I have. At the start of the season I got Bale with this gameweek and next gameweek in mind as captaincy choices.
But I lost faith last week...
Captain Bale is my answer.Open ControlsYeah - Robin.
Open ControlsMan U are away to Liverpool, who are floundering, so it's got to be RVP captain. Beating Liverpool at home may now be relegated to second on Fergie's wish list, since MC are champions, but he will still have his team pumped up to the max
Open Controls
So I'm about to confirm Taarabt ➡ Sterling but there's 2 issues stopping me:
1. The Gameweek isn't even over yet not to mind that the next GW is a week away.
2. Options such as Kaca, Guthrie and Maloney might be better picks (can obviously afford all).
Am I being too cautious?Open ControlsThink so, just do it. If you have an injury and have to spend another 4 points you will at least have gained money
Open ControlsTrue that, Gargamel. Cheers man. Thanks Camzy also 🙂 Hopefully Pienaar won't pick up a knock tomorrow night and also hopefully no new cheap mid emerges lol
Open Controls
Well, Sterling's rising and Taarabt's falling tonight (probably). Obviously, I'll still be able to afford it on Saturday morning but the value of the transfer would be more than I would've liked. I've played too safe regarding money so far (team value of just 100.4) for what it's worth...
Open ControlsChampions league this week and GW is not over. Id rather lose a bit of mula then take a hit to rectify an injury situation if one pops up tbh.
Saying that, I did De Gea to Foster last night to avoid a rise, so a bit much of me to say anything. But logically, id say wait.Open ControlsCheers for the input. That's usually the strategy I employ but it's hurt my team value badly this season so far. If I didn't take a hit last week, I'd easily click confirm right now
Open Controls
1) i'd wait
2) i'd prefer any of those 3 over sterlingOpen Controls
It hurts to use a transfer at this stage of the season on a keeper but continuing to walk the DDG trail just seems like bad business with a price fall looming. Federici as his back up was the real managerial fail. Suck it up son.
Open Controls12p would be a bargain 12 points would be a lot.
Open Controls
Man, Berbs just went up 0.1 yesterday and he's already at 51%! Looks like he'll go up the max 0.3 this GW.
Open ControlsTaarabt is about to drop tonight, so prob best to get rid.
Open ControlsReply fail to Eoin.
Open ControlsGot rid of him last week for Adam Johnson
Open ControlsUnlucky, Johnson was playing well, hope the injuries ain't too serious. Just ditched Green for Jask, will make back my loss off him at least. Hate wasting a transfer on goalies. QPR were decent the weekend, far better in possession, Granero, Park and Faurlin linked well, defence far better. Need to start scoring a few, and get first win, then we should pick up the points.
Open ControlsHad Cole to come off the bench with a cleanie so went OK.
Good write up on the game here, sounds like we are much improved just strange that Hoilett and Taarabt are out of favour.

Is Sir Ryan Nelsen off to warm the bench when this MBia boy is ready do we think?Open ControlsLove to give you a definite answer, but I can't. Can't see Nelsen being dropped at the moment, plus MBia's best position is defensive midfield. He is supposed to be talented, and if he excels in that position, then will probably play there.
Open Controls
Wouldn.t imagine they are out of favour, the longer the season goes on the more useful they become, fit and fresh. Real depth to the squad now, Diakte, M'bia, Traroe etc available also.
Open ControlsSquad looking good, also delighted that Park snubbed that low life. Fair play to him

A parable:
There came a time when a man bethought himself to dump Graham for Berba. He knew his ideas might be heretical, so he went to the Pharisees and posted before them this query: “Should a man forsake Graham for the wayward Berba, partaking thereby of a hit? Lo, he hath spent his talents and returneth with none, but shall I welcome him with open arms, slay the fatted calf for him and put him up in my front line with Tevez and RVP? Well do I know how Graham hath made faithful use of his talents, and plied the front line of Swansea through feast and (mostly) famine, and might well reap the rewards of patience, but should one not praise the return of the languid, insouciant genius that is Berb?”
The Pharisees chuckled indulgently and contemptuously replied that only folly could bring a man to cast his hits at the feet of the lugubrious Bulgarian in the face of the industrious Swansean’s constancy. “It is written that Graham will ultimately score more than Berb” sayeth the Pharisees.
And behold, the man hath kept Graham, and spurned the Berb. And it came to pass on the fourth gameweek of the season that the Berb did reap two goals and three baps, and Graham did lay a steaming two-point turd. And the man took thought and concluded that the Pharisees were f**king c**ts and that he should bloody well do what his gut told him to do.Open ControlsYour away with the pharaohs...
Open ControlsI think I'm partly to blame :'( Sorry man...You see Being Liverpool?
Open ControlsNot yet, where/when can I tune in? Definitely want to see it. Point of the parable is that it is my fault and mine alone. 😉
Open Controls
Amen
Open ControlsWell, this is far better than the usual rants on here, if we could have more of this we all might be at least far more entertained! Bravo, sir!
Open ControlsThanks mate. Was inspired by anguish . . .
Open Controls
Thanks mate.

Hey Garg, what's your thoughts on taking hits? looking at track record I'd have guessed you were against it, but looking at this year, looks like you've taken 3 already? surprises me is all.
Open ControlsHello!
Hmm. Well I just think that hits can be very good and that really isn't much use in having a set mind on whether to use them or not. I've traditionally been a player who often holds on a bit too long to certain players which is good at times and bad at times.
I wouldn't really do that hit you suggest, you're banking on Ivan getting something back instantly for that to be worth it. Defenders are less explosive so not as often worth hits imoOpen ControlsI took an 8 point hit in gw3 and it paid off in comparison to not (bringing in rvp, yaya and jenkinson in place of torres, santi and cashley)....and it allowed me to create the awesome attacking team that I currently have which has the longterm in mind...now to sort my defence

sorry for the repost go no replies
Quick thoughts anybody, Team for next week is….
Jussi
McAuley/Demel/Baines
Pienaar/Hazard/Michu/Cazorla
Lambert/Van Persie/Tevez
Begovic/ Jenkinson/ Guthrie/Rafael
0.1 in the bank
Thinking about switching out Mitchu for …
A, Dyer and getting some money in the bank
B, transfer in either Morrison/Mclean/bannan
C, Save the transfer
D, Any other better options?Open ControlsI'm looking at HBA tomorrow for a Michu replacement
Open ControlsI think michu will come back strong. he was swansea's best player vs Villa. Wouldnt get rid just yet.
Open ControlsWould only be looking to lose Swansea cover for 2 weeks. they got Everton and Stoke next and last year they didn't score in both fixtures. so not feeling to confident.
Open Controls
he would be ideal, but sadly not enough money and i don't want to take a hit 🙂
Open Controls
Hows this looking for GW4:
-------Jussi(Bego)-----
Baines, Demel, Davies, (Cuellar, Gunter)
Michu—Cazorla—Hazard(vc)---Bale(c) (Guthrie)
Tevez—RVP---Berbatov------
Main concern is How tevez will be used when Aguero comes back. Hopefully still at the front...
CheersOpen ControlsSolid team.
Tevez will still start imo. He's been too vital this season to be dropped.Open Controlstevez nailed on for the league imo
Open Controls
hi have that team except for bego, cuellar and gunter (henderson-dead goalie, jenkinson and gorkks)
so I would say it's an awesome teamOpen Controls
declan - response from last page:
yeahh it looks like a lot around here are doing ddg to jaask. thinking i might as well pull the trigger now
and yeahh looks like i've got the upper hand on you. i thought you had saylor and 7pts on me but just realized that you also took a hit so saylor + 3 for you vs my baines pienaar and hba. i should win but knowing my luck you'll pull off some jammy with with saylor cs + goal or something 😉Open Controlsugh what a week. 41 (-4) after subs come in.
Got some trouble down back with Fabio and Cueller injured. Clearly I need to get rid of Fabio as he is out for a few weeks at least. Best Options:
a) Demel
b) Davies
c) Nelsen
d) other ideas?Open Controlscheers TW - how's the week pan out for you?
Open Controls
no spurs cover so..
A)Cazorla to Bale
B) ignore spurs and do Petric to Berba lolOpen ControlsAm thinking Foster shades it over Mignolet as my first fix for the DDG/Fed twin pillocks. Sound good?
Open ControlsId say so with the next 6 fixtures. Looks promising. Other option would be Vorm/Howard at an extra 0.5.
Open ControlsI did think of Howard as another option and now that I look at it again he does have a good a relatively hiccup free run of fixtures over the next 10. Thanks. Hard to call the best cheap/midprice options but Everton have as good a chance of clean sheets as most.
Open ControlsNp. Long term its easier to jel a partner with Foster for rotation then the 5.5 keepers imo, but short term id say Howard looks as good a bet as any.
Reina if you wanted to be super crafty/ballsy. Nice fixtures from gw6, but no dice with clean sheets yet. I would not, but it's one under the radar that could pay off.Open Controls
Yeah looks good
Open Controls
Namaste from India all.
Anybody in the know for the best 4.0 playing MIDs in the UCL Fantasy game? Babel is the most selected, but he's no where near nailed on is he?Open ControlsGillet, RW for Anderlecht. Great find at 4.0.
Babel is definitely not nailed on.
Ajax's front 3 is Boerrigter, Sigthorsson and SulejmaniOpen Controls
how far down the bench are people burying Jenks? Anyone risking it for a biscuit?
Open ControlsYeah, Yaya, although the surely might be unwarrented. Demel keeps getting cleanies. But SUnderland must score, so Yaya is the best bet. Saying that, I do not need to make the decision: I only have Demel.
Open Controls
This might sound knee jerky but im prorerly considering captaining Berbatov next week. Him or Hazard i think.
Open Controlsmate, Berbs will be this seasons wonder. SAF didnt want to sell him and can see why. confidence and oozes class
Open ControlsIt makes me sad that he stayed at Man Utd for too long, I'd forgotten just how good he is.
Open Controls
Fulham at home aren't that hot. Only think keeping me from getting Berba in for a hit.
Open ControlsFulham away is a different kettle of fish to fulham at home. Hazard the safer choice imo
Open ControlsTrue but they had a proper go at OT.
At UP they were poor but they had several injuries that day and had just sold their 2 best players.Open Controls
repost
Done
Foster In DDG Out
Dimitar in Petric Out.
Next gw I’ll cut out Lescott. Maybe I’ll get Ridgwell instead.
I already have demel, i don’t think I need Jaas, do I?. He’ll rise today so maybe I’ll get Begovic for Federici?Open ControlsFoster and Jussi rotate pretty well up to GW13, which is peculiar since they are either Home together or Away together until GW15. One of them always has weak team to play on the away cycle up to that point
Open Controls
Doubling up on defense. Would you? ...
A West Brom - Foster, McAuley & Reid
B West Ham - Jussi, Reid & McAuley
C neither - just play Foster and Reid
D neither - just play Jussi and McAuleyOpen ControlsD
Open Controls
Thinking of doing this next week:
Michu -> Dyer
Lambert -> Berbs
Clearly early days but sounds reasonable, right?Open ControlsMake that for the gw after this coming one, allowing Lambert to play Villa at home
Open Controls
Hopeing for a big match from baines. Ill take a cleanie, 2 assists and 3 Bps.
Open Controlsdo u reckon sterling will reach 0.3 max rise this week?
Open Controlspeople are getting gibbs in now fast with such bad fixtures coming up in the next 2...planning to get him after this bad patch...stop it people stoppppp
Open ControlsEvening folks..
Sad to say, I have resorted to my WC 🙁Open Controls
