Arsenal’s battling performance at the Etithad and a dramatic second-half turnaround at the Lane bring Gameweek 5 to a close. Our members can now let the dust settle on their Fantasy scores before gorging on all the stats from all the weekend’s matches, or just read on for the numbers that piqued our interest…
My WC Team:
Cesar - Jaaskelainen
Baines - Rafael - Gibbs - Demel - Clyne
Silva - Michu - Hazard - Fellaini - Sterling
Berbatov - Lambert - RVP
Even though my initial squad was great for the first 4 weeks. it didn't look too promising moving forward. and with necessary issues to deal with, hence the W.C. FPL Studs, Help me make this Team better than it is 🙂Open ControlsYou're team was fine. All that needed to be done was Ade->Ba.
Kind of a sideways WC imo, considering your great start to the season..Open ControlsMayby you are right. But the issues with my team were the following:
* weak defence: Hughes - Fulham dont do well away, Zab - minuets have been reduced due to maicon, gunter - reading too weak
* Forwards: Ade - Not Starting And not fit, Tevez - Minutes in question with all city forwards now available and fitOpen Controls
Solid team, but I'd prefer Cazorla or Bale to Silva (and maybe also to Hazard).
Have a look at the Jassk / Begovic rotationOpen ControlsThis season is great. Wildcards are showing good variety!
Personally I wouldn't bother with michu or Silva but like your team.
Players I prefer to michu... Ben arfa or pienaar
Players I prefer to Silva... cazorla, maybe bale
Loving the Lambert sterling combination. They cover each other very well in terms of fixtures but obviously Lambert to start mostOpen ControlsThere really is no reason why you should have WC'ed. Bit silly really.
Open Controls🙂 but now that i have might as well make the most out of it

Morning!
What's the consensus, are people still going with two big hitters in midfield?
I tought that question yesterday until my brains melt down....and then decided to keep going with two big hitters.
Decision was between these
1. keep two big hitters in midfield or
2. ivanovic + baines in defence + take a hit again this week to get baines in
Have to say I'm not happy to be without Ivanovic now, expecting a brace for him in gw7 🙁
Current thinking could be something like
gw7: kagawa => cazorla
after that deciding what to do with hazard
or
gw7: kagawa => bale
gw8: hazard => cazorla
Have to say that this fantasy world changes quickly, two weeks ago I had to make decision which one to get rid kags or bale to get hazard in before another 0.3 prise rise. Bit annoying to face a fact that I, among many others, decided to ditch bale...
hmmm, I only had that one question to make, how did I go for this long jada jada post...Open ControlsThe way I think is that as long as I'm not leaving more than 3 mil in the bank, I can make any downgrade I want and okay the transfers week by week.
Sticking to a strict financial template is hard to maintainOpen Controls
@Acqua - Any transfers suggested? I really want Felliani, can't believe he already rose by 0.2!!!!
Open ControlsPost your team
Open ControlsIm thinking the ship has past on that one Pratik.. Baines and Pienaar should be plenty of Everton cover.
He's such a beast, but I think we'll have to pass?(What's your opinion on this)
Only one that tempts me is Santi in for Bale or Haz, but both have good fixtures next week.
Do you suppose we save the FT and reassess next week? (With Tevez, Ba, Berba, etc.)Open ControlsFelliani is excellent captain material this week, if I could get him in I would give him the armband. Getting rid of Gallas for a cheap defender to upgrade Dyer->Felliani is what I'm thinking.
Dyer's price will fall by tomorrow too.Open ControlsHmm. 4pt hit right after WC?
Very true about Dyer, plus I'm not sure he'll be back in the starting lineup in coming weeks..
Are you certain about triple Everton cover though?Open ControlsOne more hit? After a wc?
Open ControlsIf I am giving him the armband, then it certainly makes it worth it. I don't intend to make a transfer next week though, and really wanna save 2 for the international break. I believe Dyer is too much of a rotation suspect now, so even though he has tempting fixtures in gw7 and 8, he is not play both the games.
Open ControlsThat said, I only have 4.1 as a direct replacement for Gallas.
Do you consider this a short term transfer, or willing to ride the Everton tide 😉Open Controlsgo for it mate - I am tripling up on everton and I know there are those who play it safe and never triple up, but when it works you can steamroll your opposition
Open Controls
Not Nelsen...probably Demel if Chico returns
Open Controls
please tell me how can i kill myself... i bloody got 41 points ONLEEEEEEE.... went down 2nd in my league with equal points to third player in rank
Open ControlsI got 24pts last week, just move on and do better next week.

Repost... I will reply to as many questions as possible so please give feedback boys!
Due to 6 players playing less than 45 mins plus 3 spurs going to old trafford, I’ve pressed the button.
How about this for wc team?
Begovic foster
Baines rafael mcauley demel clyne
Pienaar hazard fellaini benarfa sterling
Lambert vanP Suare Notes…
Sterling has great fixtures for Lambert’s bad ones Defence may be expensive but I don’t fancy many big guns up frontOpen ControlsLooks good, Id pass on Rafael with Evans fit and Smalling soon to be back(CL, rotation, etc).
Open Controlsthanks for advice. He is attacking like a beast though, very tempting!
Open Controls
too much EVE for my liking and not keen on LIV at all rit now.
and I'd try to get Cazorla in there too.Open ControlsGibbs over Rafael. No arsenal or city coverage will hurt you
Open Controls1. Downgrade either Foster or McAuley
2. Triple Everton seems a little over the top
3. Suarez cheatsOpen Controlsty for advice. I like tripling up though and admit I'm a bit of a fixtures freak. Everton have sweet fixtures and no rotation risks plus good value and form so I think I will keep them.
Had bale, lennon and defoe for the last 4 or 5 games and worked OK (Could have been better admittedly! But those differentials kept my head above the water on bad GWs for most)Open ControlsDouble defence is not clever, neither is tripling. He cheats? Yeah? Nobody else does? Difference is Suarez is almost the only one getting caught and punished these days
Open Controlswhy is double defence not clever? Tosey (regular on here in the past) had two triples in defence and finished in the top 1k I think. More variance I'm with you on that
Open ControlsI just think spreading the risk is way smarter. Whenever your team has a bad day or a poor fixture, youre basically screwed. Variance might account for him finishing top 1k too, you know 😉
Open ControlsMaybe but he is in the top 5k most seasons. And That's why i like variance!
What would you prefer in terms of two years' rankings?
A. 20000th, 500th
or B.
10000th, 10000th?
For me it is A all the way!Open Controls
Has he dived once this season? And you didnt answer my question, is he the only one? No? So stfu.
Open ControlsDont tell me to relax just to keep up with the insults. Be quiet, you retard.
Open ControlsLol fire up..
Open ControlsOk.. You insult me better then I insult you.. It would make sense, cos you're the only one firing at me.. Unless you're Suarez.. In which case, shame on you...
Open ControlsLol, youre a joke. You started this whole thing with bad comments about Suarez, and you fail to reply to what i asked you. If i insult you better its because my brain works better than yours. Obviously im not Suarez, if you think thats even remotely funny then i truly pity you.
Open Controls
Hazard to Caz IMO
Open Controlsty. Planning that transfer after norwich game. Want him as captain for that one though and have had the price rise from gw0
Open Controls
Dont get Suarez
Open Controls
@RedForLife in regards to Che v Ars
Being a gooners fan and knowing the history between the clubs, this one's almost always a high scoring affair. it's not that I doubt Arsenal's back line, I just think it will be a wide open game with both teams counter attacking very often.
The likes of Hazard, Gervinho, Ox(if he features) and Oscar may well benefit from this.Open Controlsthis is a game that Wenger should start both Vermaelen and Kos inspite of Mert's outstanding performances
Open Controlsagree
Open Controls
Fair call Acqua. Can understand your thinking. Still recall the 5-3 affair last season, althugh i believe that was at the Bridge. Appreciate the feedback.
Open Controls
Morning folks!
I watched the Chelsea game at the weekend and it was the first time I really got to see Hazard play. He looked ok but with Mata back in the side he suddenly seemed to drop in appeal. He took less set-pieces and was subbed early, presumably due to a combination of him being ineffective and having played a lot over the last couple of weeks.
A look at his stats isn't comforting either - 1 shot (off target) and 2 chances created is not enough for a £10m+ player at home. Granted, Stoke were good, but he doesn't have the easiest of fixtures coming up. He would seem to be reliant on spot-kicks for goal threat but even then I think him taking them is reliant on other penalty takers being off the field. He also has the added threat of rotation with the CL in full swing and all those other attacking mids.
Is this the time to start making plans to shift? Perhaps it would be wiser to wait until after the Norwich game but I really fancy Bale as a direct replacement (incidentally, I did Bale > Hazard in my WC 2 weeks ago against my better judgement in order to make some cash and in case Hazard really was that good!). I also think Silva will be a good choice sooner rather than later.Open ControlsI should obviously add Cazorla to this but I assumed everyone had him by now 😉
Open ControlsIt's really difficult to decide. I'm on my WC and am thinking Haz>Cazorla
My reasoning being, Chelsea's next 4 look nasty, Hazard is not showing enough goalscoring threat, Oscar had 5 shots to Hazard's one for instance. Cazorla always has shots, he takes corners, free kicks too. Arsenal play a free flowing style and I can see more goals in that Arsenal side than Chelsea, mainly because Chelsea are inherently defensive despite having all these attacking options, would you agree? Chelsea like to get that goal early and boss the game or soak up the pressure. RDM seems to work like this.
Hazard is an unselfish player in a way, Cazorla is unselfish too but has that extra selfishness that might see him score more goals perhaps. The only thing is Hazard's stats from last year are phenomenal in Ligue 1. Whereas Cazorla has been consistent but his stats aren't mindblowing. But Caz is basically the focal point of Arsenal's attack now, which he may not have been for his previous clubs.
So Haz>Caz? worth it?Open ControlsDo you think I should just have both?
Open ControlsRegarding Hazard's Ligue 1 stats - are you talking about goals? I heard a lot were penalties. Granted, if he wins them all then takes them then fair enough! However, I don't see this being enough to justify owning a £10m+ player unless he carries significant goal threat (from open play).
I like Cazorla a lot and have him. I would personally prefer to have him over Hazard for the reasons you stated. You make a good point about RDM's gameplan and I can see a lot of low scoring wins for Chelsea this year.
The question is whether you like Bale more than Hazard. Bale comes out on top (just) in the comparison tool and I reckon Spurs will score more goals than Chelsea.Open ControlsFrom memory Hazard only scored 9 from open play and 10 from penalties (stats are something like that anyway).
This is why I didn't rate highly, but same as Tinkerman brought him in "in case my thoughts were wrong"Open ControlsYeah but have you been watching him play? He's gone close to scoring plenty of times this season it's not as if he is doing nothing bar penalties/penalty assists. He's a good player and will come good. No way would I ditch before Norwich (H) after this week.
Open Controls
shifting him after the Norwich(h) probably along with RVP/Tevez
Open ControlsI don't know if I can wait that long!
Agree Tevez might have to go but I won't sell RVP just yet. Who are you targeting as replacements? RVP > Rooney doesn't seem like a great move unless it allows you to make vast improvements with the extra cash. I'm also not sure Aguero is worth the extra over Tevez if you can't captain him due to Mancini's rotation!Open Controls
I am waiting for gw7, when Chelsea play Norwich, and there is an international break right after that....Will get in Caz then depending upon things.
I currently have both Caz and Bale in my team, and one will certainly make way for Caz after gw7.Open Controls
care to shed a light on whether teams like Everton, United, Newcastle,West Ham will play their better players in the Midweek matches??
Open ControlsUnited certainly wont
Open ControlsDo you mean the Capital One Cup?
I have not idea but I would guess Newcastle and United will give a chance to fringe/young players.Open Controlswhich midweek fix plz? excuse my lack of awarness

Repost...
In a dilemma, I want to get Baines bt already have Howard and pienaar..
I can get Baines in since I. Have 2ft bt hesitant doubling up. The one option is to bring in Baines and get rid of Howard but not sure who. Howard is the only keeper upto 5.5 who is fixture and rotation proof. I already hav mcauly so don’t want foster. Friedel might loose his place so yeah, not sure Abt the Baines decision….thoughts??
My second keeper is Davies from saints who didn't start which is another headache...Open Controlsif your second keeper is davies, definitely don't sell howard. You'd be better off replacing davies with a player who covers everton's bad fixtures and then get baines in too.
IMO there is nothing wrong with doubling up - some weeks you get double, some weeks you get nothing. 2+0 = 1+1 so no difference in the long runOpen ControlsI.e. if you have two defenders from different teams it is still possible they both concede, both get CS or 1 of each - so it makes little difference over a season - Not sure if I'm explaining that well!
Open Controls
Does anyone know if Cuellar will be back this week?
Open ControlsHey guys how do i add a picture and link my team ? Sorry i'm new
Open ControlsSuddenly feeling nervous about both Tevez minutes and not having Baines
Is this double switch (2FTs) a smart move or too much of a knee jerk?
Gibbs and Tevez
to Baines and Ba
Full team
Foster (Jaask)
Gibbs, Ivo, Hughes, Demel, Gorkss
Bale, Pienaar, Hazard, Santi, Sterling
Tevez, RVP, PogOpen ControlsKeep Gibbs shift Ivo and Pog.
Open Controls
How long can v keep Jenkinson in?? When is Sagna expected to start??
Open ControlsWenger also revealed some good news on Tomas Rosicky and Bacary Sagna: "Sagna is one week away from full training,
Open Controls
When is Sagna due back ? Also will he walk straight back into the team?
Open ControlsLast year he came straight back into the team. A game later he was rested. I remember this well as I bought him the week after he came back and was disappointed!
Open Controls
RVP(C) for me this week, no experimenting with Everton players
Open Controlsmaybe the safe option. Should be noted that spurs don't do clean sheets this season.
I am experimenting with baines, fellaini and pienaar(c) though! (and I'm a southampton fan so this is going to be rough viewing)Open Controls
What do you think? Choose 3 of Berbatov, Fletcher, Ba and Lambert up front and forget having a pricey forward.
Open Controlsworth a shot.....i m thinking of dumping tevez soon...
Open ControlsProblem are the milfs.

Some major decisions coming up.
Arsenal cover? Bale /Haz to make way? Keep Michu for READ/WIGAN then sell for Barfa?
Prefer Berba to Ba that I currently own...gw 11 I like Lambert.
😕Open Controlsfor me haz-caz after NOR
michu - yeah I'd probably keep him for those two because barfa's got better fixtures later anyway but beware of price rises if he scoresOpen ControlsWhat do I do with Bale? I like his gw 7-10. Plan was to do Bale to Pienaar this week...
Open ControlsYeah - bale-pienaar is a good transfer imo. But it is quite close. The fact he (bale) started as LB last night could be a slight worry, but it didn't seem to work out well and they pushed him back up the pitch.
Open Controls
I'd stick with Bale & Hazard tbh, far too many people kneejerking Hazard out, he's still absolutly class and will still be explosive like he's been already this season. However, if you're wanting to make way for Cazorla, then Hazard would most probably be the one that I'd ship out, due to him being at a slight risk of rotation. Sorry if that sounds completely contradictory lol.
P.S Did your acca win on the weekend with the addition of the West Ham Sunderland draw as recommended? 😉Open Controls
Pratik, best replacement for Gallas @4.1? Thinking Nelsen or Barnett (QPR look half decent with Cesar)
Secondly, how long do we have until Fellaini rises again? 😆Open Controlsclyne - He may not keep many CS but he will attack like a crazy man and pretty good fix
Open ControlsHey Acqua, believe me I might be wrong about Everton's triple cover. Quite a few don't like the idea. If you don't feel Fellaini is essential, don't go for it as your defence weakens considerably. Tottenham should get their first clean sheet in gw7.
Open ControlsI do like the idea, what would you do in my current position? Only 0.2 in the bank..
Lack of captain options this week again. Failing to choose a good captain is a big downfall in gaining ground on my opponents, so must choose right this week!Open ControlsI think after gw7, you are certainly looking at Haz->Caz to raise so cash so that you can upgrade your defender to Sagna/Gibbs.
Other than that, it looks fine. I'd go for Clyne or a Qpr defenderOpen ControlsQPR look like a decent shout for a cleanie home to West Ham this weekend?
Open Controls
MY WC TEAM SUGGESTIONS
JUSSI/BEGO
DEMEL A.COLE WILSON BAINES GIBBS
FELLAINI SANTI BALE GERRARD STERLING
LAMBERT BERBA AGUEROOpen ControlsPardon? Didn't quite catch that.
Open Controlsfor me - no gerrard, no aguero, no cole
Sorry I mean no GERRARD, AGUERO, or COLEOpen ControlsTHIS
Open Controls
Double West Ham and double Stoke isn't a great idea IMO. Spread the risk! Newcastle/Sunderland rotate well (await Cuellar and Newcastle back line injury updates and consider getting players from those teams to rotate. If you didn't have A Cole before. now isn't the time to get him. Norwich home is the only fixture coming up where I forsee a cleanie and he won't get attacking returns very often this season IMO.
I like the midfield and attack a lot although Gerrard could be a risky pick. Might be a week too early to target Aguero but he's a solid long-term pick.Open Controls
What's likely to happen with the save totals for Ben Foster and Alex McCarthy in the West Brom - Reading match?
That's the only reason that the gameweek is still in progress officially, right?Open ControlsUnless foster gets 12 saves added I will lose my head to head match
Open ControlsAnd the BPS might be reassessed.
Open ControlsSomeone who saw the match, wants to guess how many saves he actually made.
Open ControlsGinkapo said yesterday one Foster save will be taken away. He'll end up with only one.
Dunno how it'll affect the baps. Does Brunt still have baps even after Long got the assist?Open ControlsHe just made one save during the entire match, and that's what the entire line of query is about? To get rid of his 1 bonus point?
Open ControlsI think it was more the assist being changed rather foster's 1 save.
Open ControlsAssist has been reviewed and fixed long time ago.
Open Controls
Yeah, this whole malarkey is about one save each at both ends. I'm not sure about Foster's baps.
If Brunt has the lost the assist, his PPI will go down massively - meaning no bonus for him. So, Foster will keep his boner I reckon. Best case scenario, he might even get 2 because of Brunt dropping out.Open Controls
I think we are moving away from that ultimate Mantra that helped us out last year:
form>>>>>>>>>fixtures( exception:Hazard)Open ControlsPuzzling fact: 4 out of 5 times this season a fullback has been the GW's highest scorer.
Open Controlsyep and I bet a full back was also the GW's lowest scorer on many occasions!
Open Controlsgoal + clean sheet points return:
attacker: 4
midfielder: 6
defender: 10
+BPs
and that is why when a defender scores and wins, he is on fire!Open Controlshaha yeah same difference 😀

Morning , well pleased with a score of 62, but have a major dilemma
A- Lescott > Baines
B- Michu > Santi
C- Pog > Fletch/lambert
Any thoughts please ?Open ControlsA or C2
Open ControlsHmmmm. No hurry for B I don't think
A or C are both good transfers IMOOpen ControlsPS i prefer lambert but theyre at everton so again no hurry. Maybe do A now and C later (lambert will have some nice fixtures in the near future)
Open Controls
Tough one but would go for A personally.
Open ControlsC is your first priority, and fletch
Open ControlsProbably A. Always a rotation risk and you don't want to spend that much cash on it.
Open ControlsThanks Lads , great feedback I'm edging to A this week as I feel everton are awesome at the moment and I think following week Lambert in ,
