Spurs win at Old Trafford for the first time since 1989 as Andre Villas-Boas’ side triumph in the game of the season so far. Gareth Bale is the main protagonist for the Londoners, as United’s defensive frailties are exposed yet again:

Going Up

Gareth Bale
In a Gameweek where many of the popular midfield picks failed to produce the goods, the Welshman continued his return to form with a goal and pair of assists at Old Trafford. With a home clash against Villa up next, Bale can expect to pick up plenty of interest over the next few days.

Jan Vertonghen
Having found his eye for goal in the midweek Capital One Cup win at Carlisle, Vertonghen notched his first league goal of the campaign as Andre Villas-Boas’ side won for the third Gameweek in a row. With (AVL, sot, WIG) amongst his next four fixtures, the potential for point looks good for the Belgian at both ends of the pitch.

Clint Dempsey
Picked ahead of Gylfi Sigurdsson for the role in “the hole”, the US international vindicated his manager’s decision with his first goal of the season. Dempsey – who has a mere 2% ownership in FPL – could be a real differential pick over the next few games, with a starting berth in the Spurs XI now seemingly assured.

Wayne Rooney
Sent on for Ryan Giggs after the break, Rooney was forced to take up a wider position, with Shinji Kagawa keeping the role behind Robin Van Persie. He made an immediate impact, setting up Nani for United’s first, and with a free-kick hitting the woodwork, he’s offering a real alternative to the Dutchman up top as we look to freshen up our Fantasy squads.

Going Down

United Defence
Once again, the Red Devils failed to keep out their opponents at the back. Sir Alex Ferguson’s side have conceded in all but one of their six fixtures so far – with trips to Newcastle and Chelsea in the next four, in addition to a home clash against Arsenal, sales of their defenders look likely to pick up.

Robin Van Persie
Normally, an assist isn’t too bad for a day’s work. The Dutchman has still managed to produce attacking returns in all of his starts this term but with the likes of Nikica Jelavic, Luis Suarez and Demba Ba all racking up the goals earlier today, and with Rooney now back for United, many may be tempted to look for alternatives to the 13.5 priced Dutchman.

I think if it came from anyone else then it would be, but he's got past form so everyone ribs him.

5 Minutes injury time is justified,
            6 subs = 3 minutes,
            3 goals = 1.5 minutes

All Fergie cares about is doing his utmost to give his club the best chance of winning, so he'll do and say anything to achieve that.

And United have never slowed a game down?

He's losing the plot. The next couple of seasons, while he clings to power, should give me lots more to gloat about. He's no chance for the title.

          😆
No chance for the title!, it's you who's losing the plot mate, we will be there at the end and you know it.
Of course we have slowed games down but not by feigning injuries and taking 40 secs every goal kick. They took the piss today and there could easily have been more time added.
          3 goals 1 min 30
          6 subs 3 mins,
          injuries 2/3 mins
          time wasting 2/3 mins
          Add it up

I don't have to add it up. All I have to do is go back and watch any game at Old Trafford where United have won in time added on that they didn't deserve. Fergie didn't complain then, he shouldn't complain now. He should suck it up and try not to lose too many more games at home.

A senile, alcoholic, poor loser. Him, not you.

We best leave it at that Loc, see you in the top 5k for some end of season shenanigans.

When he practically accused QPR of handing City the title that season, that did it for me.

People say these things, it is just getting caught up in the game. I can't say I didn't say the exact same thing at the time, of course I know it's rubbish. Any manager as committed to a club like Fergie (for example Wenger) is capable of spouting utter sh*t at times.

I think he'll be massively worth it. Genuine eye for goal. Sterling will be very heavily reliant on assists. Think Sahin could be a bargain myself.

Oh yeah definitely - Sterling is a bargain - but he's in a different bracket. Great bench fodder! You'd play Sahin almost every week.
