Juan Mata’s Fantasy owners will be a touch more hopeful ahead of Sunday’s home clash with Liverpool after the Spaniard issued an injury update on his personal blogsite earlier this morning. Mata revealed his omission from the Chelsea squad for the 1-1 draw at Swansea was mainly down to rest:

“Bad news for me: after such a huge effort during 120 minutes I was forced to rest a few days with a hamstring injury…That’s why I missed our game in Wales vs Swansea.”

This optimism was also backed up by Roberto Di Matteo today, after the Blues boss admitted he was hopeful of an instant return to action for both Mata and David Luiz for Wednesday’s Champions League game with Shakhtar Donetsk:

“It is going to be a question of waiting for the next couple of days for them to recover and we hope they will be available to play.”

With Chelsea three points behind the Ukranian outfit with three games remaining in Group E, Di Matteo will likely be reliant on Mata recovering, with a trip to Juventus also on the horizon as they look to retain their trophy.

Domestically, Chelsea now face three home fixtures in the next four Gameweeks, with Liverpool, City and Fulham all rolling up to the Bridge. The form that has seen Mata return 54 FPL points in his last five league outing was sorely missed at the Liberty, with the draw seeing Chelsea slip off the summit to sit a point behind United. Going on today’s news, though, those who chose to hold onto the Spaniard after Di Matteo raised doubts over his availability last Friday will be a little less anxious, with tomorrow’s press conference hopefully shedding more light on Mata’s hamstring condition.

I sold nolan for fellaini today
I feel a little sick now...nolan to score a brace at Newcastle has already been scripted hasn't it?

        I hope not
My big mistake last week was tevez and baird
I had berbs and fellaini (for kaca instead of nolan) in mind but went for the cash

I always see teams that play away in the Europa League on the Thursday potentially slipping up the following Sunday. I would've kept Nolan if I were you.

Clyne is the only one I don't really like, but as he is your bench fodder it is not really an issue.

I would save your transfer tbh, I suspect that is what you are leaning towards anyway?

    This weeks transfers:
Lescott, McAuley, Fletcher, Ba > Rafael, Cameron, RVP, Pogrebnyak. Only took an 8 pt hit as I had 2 transfers.

    This weeks team:
    Begovic (Cerny)
    Rafael, Ivanovic, Cameron (Clyne, Demel)
    Bale, Michu, Hazard, Pienaar
    Pogrebnyak, RVP, Tevez

    Good decisions?

So far his stats say yes. But bearing in mind Ramirez has definitely played less. Ramirez plays in a more attacking role so he'll get the stats too. Lallana does take corners on the right side tho, a few assists have come from there

I have 2 FTs this week, and really want Van Persie, but not sure what to do with my front line to accommodate him.
Suarez, Tevez, Lambert are there at the moment.

Suarez keeps scoring so I think I'll keep him, ideally I'd drop Lambert, but there's no real way to afford Lambert to RVP, which makes me think I'll have to drop Tevez.

I can afford Tevez to Rooney more easily, but would prefer RVP, so I need to find £2.5m somewhere in my team.

    Foster, Federici
    Baines, Cole, Wilson, Cuellar, McCartney
    Bale, Cazorla, Pienaar, Michu, Noble
    Suarez, Tevez, Lambert

    So:

    A) Tevez and Cole -> Gorkss and RVP
    B) Tevez, Cole, Wilson -> Gorkss, RVP, Wilkinson (-4)
    C) Tevez to RVP and any other way to find £2.5m

Poor week overall but a likely green arrow. Over the past four game weeks I have had 3 players playing and scoring against their former teams.
    Baines vs Wigan
    Bale vs Southampton
    RVP vs Arsenal

I have Nolan playing Newcastle next gameweek and looking to bring in BA (if fit). So if you looking for a (c) option this gameweek, look no further than these two for guaranteed returns.

i reckon u can get rid of de gea for someone like ruddy, which will make you about 1m, and downgrade one of ur defenders. ivanovic, baines and rafa cost too much for a backline. get rid of either ivan or baines for a cheaper option near 5m. if that doesnt give you sufficient fund, probably downgrade bale to a good player because u wouldnt need much more cash to do that trade (you would be able to get a midfielder above 8m easy, but under9)
