Javier Hernandez is the hero for United after climbing off the bench to turn the game around at Villa Park. The Mexican’s double and assist earned the visitors a stunning 3-2 victory, while Andreas Weimann also bagged a brace for the beaten hosts:

On the Up

Javier Hernandez
Sent on as a sub after half-time, his introduction proved the difference for Sir Alex Ferguson’s side. Hernandez produced two goals and assist as United came from two down – Ron Vlaar was credited with an own goal for the second, after the Mexican’s strike was deemed to be off target before a deflection helped it into the Villa net.

Andreas Weimann
A peripheral figure in the Villa set-up of late, the Austrian was handed his first start since Gameweek 4 this evening. Weimann notched both Villa’s goals and has surely staked a claim for a regular role, bearing in mind that the hosts had previously scored more than a single goal just once in their opening 10 matches.

Christian Benteke
Having supplied attacking returns in each of his previous two, the Belgian maintained his strong recent form with an assist for Weimann’s opener. The skill and strength displayed in bettering Chris Smalling and composure to set up the Austrian, allied with his current form, has more than vindicated Paul Lambert’s decision to start Benteke over Darren Bent.

Going Down

United Defence
Once again, United’s backline failed to keep out their opponents. Villa had scored just twice in their four league matches prior to this evening but Weimann’s strike just before the break means United have now trailed in seven of their 11 league matches – as this evening’s game showed, grinding out results is simply not an option for Sir Alex Ferguson’s side.

Ashley Young
He’d played 90 minutes in the previous wins over Chelsea and Arsenal but an insipid first-half display against his former club saw the winger subbed off for Hernandez at the break. With a single assist to his name this term, Young is showing little to suggest he deserves a regular role for the league leaders.

Night Isacki. A strong bench may be required if they both get bans together. Beyond that, I'm not sure there's much we can do.

Ha! Someday! It was the ladbrokes 'millionaire coupon' so you are given a list of 20 games. Most are ridiculously hard to predict, ie no favourites. If you get all 20 you are given 1 million even though realistically the odds will be far higher. E.g if i had done a normal a/c with those predictions my odds were circa 40 million/1! Mo joke!

Next Week is a horrible week for Benching dilemmas. Mind you, that means I want to play most of my squad so it should be a good week overall. Who would you bench/play?

    Bego (whm)
Demel (STK) Baines (rdg) Rafael (nor) Riise (SUN) Gorkss (EVE)
Fellaini (rdg) Mata (wba) Nolan (STK) Cazorla (TOT) Sterling (WIG)
Berbatov (SUN) Ba (SWA) RVP (nor)

Good few captaincy options there too...hmmm

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

do you think berba will rise tonight? It is getting too late for me in my time zone now... but is on 88% or something now.

    A) I am tempted to buy Berba. But sell Ba or Tevez? Both have great fixtures, especially Ba.

    B) or should I just drop that transfer and do Hazard -> Mata?

    C) Or Cazorla --> Mata?

ok, I will stay put. But I feel I have to do something before next week? Don't like the idea of Berbs rising 0,3 if I'm going to buy him after next GW anyway.

If I sold tevez for Berbs I could have upgraded the defence from clyne to ridgewell for example. (have baines, shawX, clyne, demel and gunter now)

He certainly racks up the assists. Whenever I watch him play, I never feel he looks like a big hitting midfielder who will blitz the opposition. He isn't very clinical, for instance his goal v Bolton last season which really propelled him as a bandwagon was some dodgy goalkeeping.

I'd even say he's less appealing than Cazorla.

All sorts of transfer ideas going round my head at the moment, what are people's thoughts on a front 8 of Mata,Bale,Fellaini,Michu,Walcott,Berbs,Rvp,Ba. Cazorla -> Fellaini
    Lambert -> Berb
    -4pts

Have the cursor over the "Confirm transfers" button...should I do it?
Will end up with both Fellaini and Pienaar in midfield but I think it should be fine for rdg and NOR.

Wilson to Wilkinson or Cameron before this price drop tonight?

Cameron is 0.2 more, but I'm not sure he's worth it. Wilkinson, right?

If you have no plans for the .2 go Cameron, Wilkinson has the tendency to pick up a fair few yellow cards.

Is it really worth having to odwngrade someone else from my team just so I can get Fellaini into this mid?

1 slot short. I'd only lose Sterling, but he's ideal to bench.

The temptation will be to lose Nolan/Michu but they're players of a similar ilk.

I think long term...it's worth noting that Everton are likely to keep doing well whereas West Ham/Swansea have perhaps over-performed slightly. Not that they're bad teams...far from it. But Fellaini could benefit more by being in a better team overall...if you get me. But like I said, it's a tricky situation as there's no easy solution here...and there's the looming suspension and the chance of wasting a transfer...

downgrade? Do you mean Mata or Bale? Because they look like the downgradable ones.

You're in a sticky situation I guess. Because Michu and Nolan are quite worth owning but Fellaini has smashed it up lately.

Michu > Fellaini seems the obvious one...but it seems wrong. Can you do Nolan > Fellaini?

Hmmm, I would sleep on it I guess. It's a very hard one to call. You don't want to regret making a knee-jerk decision on it and after all Nolan/Michu aren't looking like players you'd want to ditch.

It was easier for me last week as I just ditched Pienaar, so it was like for like team wise and didn't have many regrets over it.

How about downgrading one of your keepers to say Tremmel then week after look to bring in Bego who you can pretty much play every week up to Jan Wildcard with Stoke's fixtures to fund Nolan-Fellaini?

So I originally planned on getting rid of Berbatov for RVP as Fulham face a tricky run of fixtures but I'm not so sure now... My other strikers are Ba (good fixtures) and Tevez (season keeper?). Thoughts on whether I should stick with my front three or get rid of one for RVP?

Keepers do not really score goals, so try to decide out of your keepers, who is most likely to keep a CS, as every now and then, regardless of clean sheet or not, a defender can pop up with an assist or goal.
