Birmingham City seem set to face an unlikely “Treble Gameweek” following the confirmation that their clash at with Everton at Goodison, postponed from Boxing Day, has been rescheduled for February 23.

This would appear to place the fixture in Gameweek 27 – a programme that begins on February 12. Birmingham already have a double fixture in this Gameweek, with two “attractive” home games against Stoke and Newcastle on February 12 and 15 respectively…

The trip to Everton currently depends on Birmingham’s progress in the Carling Cup, should they make it past West Ham to the final, the Goodison clash would move to March 9, handing them a double in Gameweek 29; they are set to face West Brom at St Andrews in this Gameweek. Qualifying for the final will however also mean the postponement of Birmingham’s Gameweek 28 fixture away at Chelsea, giving them a blank on the schedule (so that’d be two doubles sandwiching a missing week). Not the worst one to miss but a situation that needs keeping an eye on.

Fantasy Managers need to stay alert then – while Birmingham have been far from a reliable source of talent, three fixtures in a single Gameweek would surely make their assets irresistible, with Ben Foster and the likes of Scott Dann and Liam Ridgewell looking particularly attractive at the back. Further forward we would need to be wary of rest and rotation – finding an attacking player likely to turn out for all three games would be tricky, but certainly “Bonus darling” Barry Ferguson will be on the Watchlist ahead of Gameweek 27 and perhaps David Bentley, a potential new arrival this week, may also attract some early attention.

We should point out that although the Premier League have confirmed the date of this fixture – the Fantasy Premier League game is yet to place the rescheduled game. A reshuffle of the Gameweeks looks unlikely, although it may well be something the FPL are considering. We will update you via the tweets as soon as confirmation is in place.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I'm wildcarding in GW24, and need to bring someone in for Gerrard just for GW23. Straight shootout, who do you think will score more points this gameweek from Lamps, Fabs, Nasri, NZog or Brunt??

If it was for long term I would go Fabs but for this GW only I have a feeling that Lampard could be high on confidence after his goals (yes I know it was Ipswich but confidence is confidence), so I would go him

    Guys wats more important ?

Getting Fabs in and sorting out the defence by using Wildcard
or getting enough players in for DGW for Week 24 with 2 free transfers

    Team is
    Foster (Carson)
    Konechesky, Carr, Kolarov (Coleman Vidic)
    Nasri Nani VDV Etherington (Adam)
    Drogba Tevez Carroll

    will use one free transfer
    A -> Konchesky -> Hangaland

    GW24
    will use
    Drogba – > Rooney/Berbatov
    Etherignton -> NZog

    Opinions please

you could try getting fabs in. But when you sort out ur defence, get defenders who also play the dgw, like fulham, or villa ones. Their quite cheap and are good for a cleanie or 2.

I'd say 6 would be enough players for the dgw, no need to overload on them, and you'll need to ship most of them out after

TBH, i can only see myself downgrading
Vidic to Rafael then Carr to Djorou.

I would only get Fabs in for Nasri and thats it

        So potential 3 transfers??

Contemplating on taking a punt on Dzeko already. I reckon he could well start this weekend with Tevez in support or the wing. Question is...

    Dzeko, Fabs and Malouda or

    Tevez, Nasri and Lampard.

Already have V.P but no other Chelsea cover.

Have a dig at the below wildcard...Any justified dig will do
    Begovic/Fabiansky

    Pantsil Zabaleta* Rafael Bardsley Eardley

    Nani Nasri Adam Fabregas VDV

    Roon Tevez Hoilett

    1) I have Zabaleta(5.9) as i believe he should start regularly however if not i will swap him for Boateng or Kolarov

2)Hoilett is in the team becausei plan on playing the front 7 every gw and it wont give me a selection headache!

It's a good team, and I also prefer not having a selection headache every week with the front 8, but IMO Hoilett is a bridge too far - I'd downgrade Paintsil and get someone a little bit better for Hoilett.

Hi Guys, just used my Wildcard, please let me know what you think. Any real weaknesses etc?

    GK: Hart , Al-Habsi

DEF: Rafael, Toure, Coleman, Djourou, Bramble

MID: VDV, Nani, Cesc, Walcott, Brunt

    FWD: Dzeko, Rodallega, Hoilett

Plan is Defoe in for Rodallega after GW24, and Foster in for Hart in GW 27...

Thanks guys, realise FWD line is weak, only playing Rodallega because of DGW, going to replace him with Defoe soon. Could replace him with a 9.5 fwd but can't choose RVP as have 3 Arsenal players and not sure which UTD fwd's will be rotated in DGW 24... Chose Dzeko because am chasing the pack atm.

I've already taken a 4 pointer but with Dzeko priced at 9.5m I might press the WC button and do:
    Tevez to Dzeko
    Robinson to Begovic
    enrique to Rafael
    Kolarov to Hangeland
Welbeck to someone for 6.2 or I could just leave Welbeck in and wait for Carroll to return because i'm going to bench a striker anyway.
It would leave me with this team:
    Foster Begovic
    Coleman Hangeland Djourou Evatt Rafael
    Nani Vdv Adam Fabs Nasri
    Drogba 6.2m? Dzeko
    Thoughts?

Create your virtual pro - Greg is centreforward, Akers up front too, Hunter AM, Soup on the wing, I'm def mid and Jamsie is RB/LW/CF. Could do with a left winger or even better a good keeper. 🙂

My worry with that as a WC team is that you could potential need to make a fair few transferws soon: Djorou, one of Fabs/Nasri, your unknown striker, you won't want Evatt or Hangelaand for ever, Dzeko could be a disaster and Drog's fixtures aren't great. Too many question marks for me.

Afternoon squires - Been havign a play around with soem wildcar teams (as most have) and would appreciate any views

    Current Team:
    Foster - Jaas
    Rafael - Kolorov - Bardsley - Jagielka - Nelsen
    Malouda - Nasri - Nani - VDV - Adam
    Tevez - Carroll - Piq

    Potential WC team:
    Gordon - Stockdale
    Rafael - Dann - Bardsley - Djourou - Coleman
    N'Zogbia - Fabregas - Nani - VDV - Adam
    Tevez - Carrol - Drogba

Suddenly my defence looks shoddy but gets me Fabs and Drogs in?

I could also just save my WC and do Nasri to Fabs?

This season is so up and down. I took loads of risks last season and at the start of last season my team was completely off the wall. So Fook it! Time to stand up and be counted!!! :0 (Just like to point out that Richard Dunne was in my team from the start of last season! 🙂 ) I'm still quite smug about that one!

I dunno, he could be a good pick. However that is mitigated by his extremely poor performances and the fact that he is now off penalties. For 12.5 it's a calculated risk, he hasn't suddenly become a shite player, but much like Torres he is a shadow of what he was. Besides there are plenty of other strikers with much better fixtures in the short term, look at them and bank the money for Drogba when Chelsea's fixtures improve.

    Foster

            You're making it even worse.
So we're talking FPL here, right and Berbs(top goalscorer in the league) plays for attack minded United. So what you're telling us is that Dzeko, who will play for defensive minded City and an unproven player in this league, is twice as effective as Berbatov.

You may end up being correct but that wont be through judgement.

              Apologies for having an opinion.

              Christ, now there's a statement.
