Rush. The best form of goalkeepers for the playground. A long-haired Canadian prog-rock outfit. A mustachioed goal sniffer and, sadly, a description of how Granville and myself had to approach this latest episode of the podcast.

With our studio slot limited, we had to skinny things up and turn this one out double-time. Nonetheless, in 26-minutes, we touched on all the regulars, whilst scattering the silence in between with the usual sniping between the pair of us. It makes you wonder what we waste the other twenty minutes on every week.

Not to worry. Enjoy what you can of this little taster and look ahead to next week’s full-fat return, when we’re planning a new feature and a new voice.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Szcz (Rudd)

    Gibbs-Demel-Luiz (Davies-Clyne)

    Walcott-Nolan-Bale-Mata-Fellaini

    RVP-Ba (Lambert)

Quite the benching debacle for me this week. Anybody worth taking out to get Lambert in? And Davies or Luiz? Thanks.

Nope keep as first sub. Personally would play Luiz over Davies, as there's a strong chance he could be moved back into the engine room.

Luiz - as Swansea game 50/50 IMO. Lambert - I'm in the same boat - I reckon with the style of play, EVE to score probs 2 goals so Fellaini should be involved. I suppose the Q is who is more nailed on this weekend Mata or Ba.

Just looking for some interesting football manager teams to start with, and read this on a blog, thought id share it coz its quite funny:

"Never has the Australian A League been so in the spotlight. After the high-profile arrival of Alessandro del Piero, Australian football has suddenly become a viable football destination.

Fans on both sides of the pond would have been forgiven for believing that del Piero would be the highlight of the League’s captures. They were sadly mistaken.

In rode, on his mighty steed of victory, a man whose name strikes fear into the hearts of mere mortals. A man of such quintessential English valor that his name has ascended into legend. A man so selfless that he regularly forgoes clear goal-scoring opportunities so a team-mate can have a touch.

Emile Heskey, the man, the myth and the legend, went down under."

On WC too and looking at the aguero/Sturridge combo, my only issue is that there's doubts over both their starting roles this weekend.
Lampard obviously a gamble, but could pay off.

Not sure if this has been discussed earlier.. it probably has but I wasn't around.

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/jan/17/luis-suarez-liverpool-admitting-diving

Suarez admits to diving and faces sanctions... Would this be in the form of a fine or a few games ban?

Ngl i dont like their voices and its just lacking slightly in terms of professionalism compared to something like the football ramble, although its the best at ff

Is it worth dropping Bale vs UTD to bring in Cazorla for the DGW?

I'm selling on my WC. Will keep Mata.

FSW will no doubt continue to fart around with playing Torres, eating into Ba's starts.
