As we close on a century of episodes it was time to freshen things up and bring new voices to accompany my drone and that of grumpy Granville. In this weeks’ episode, we draft in both “Professor” Chris Atkinson and his “Rate My Team” computer, plus long-time community member and contributor, Jonty, for a new ScoutCast regular.

Don’t worry, the usual format remains intact although, having recorded this just minutes after last night’s whistles, Granville escapes the usual mini-league grilling. Not surprisingly, there’s plenty of “Granny’s miffed” to endure, plus “All Aboard” and the weekend preview. That’s’ rounded off by the “Full Jonty” a brand new feature that will bring you, the community, into our weekly ramblings.

      Mata was flagged pretty much straight after his game.

      also would probably get Liverpool players that you would want to stick with for the rest of the season simply for the fact that the majority of our tough games are already done with. After the next game against city we only have 3 games against opposition that are above us in the table all of which are at home (Spurs, Chelsea and Everton) the rest of the games all 10 of them are against teams below us.

      Suarez/Sturridge and probably GJ/Enrique should be permanent fixtures for the rest of the season I say.

          Love him mate, but plenty of others in his price range in the midfield that probably offer more fantasy points wise. First season i'm taking the fantasy game seriously and not playing with Liverpool bias. 🙂

            Is this the same Steven Gerrard who's currently joint 4th top scoring midfielder on 129, tied with Walcott (also £9.5), one behind Cazorla(£9.6), 3 ahead of Bale (£9.8) and 30 ahead of Silva(£9.5)? The same one who has 4 goals, 6 assists and 8baps (total 65pts) in his last 8 games?!!! 🙂

        I'd rather get Sturridge, then I can also fit in Aguero or Rooney to go alongside RVP.

          He's fit again, I think he will play and replace Wisdom but who knows what BR is going to do game day, or whether Enrique is back to full fitness even by this weekend. I think he's a shoe in for both games during the double game week though.

      I was gonna do RVP --> Suarez for the DGW since United struggle against Everton, but in order to get RVP back I'm short 0.6 so I would need to take a hit to re-jig the team

    OK, let's air this out. Triggalicious (quite righty imo) asserts that those with a rank to protect need to have Suarez, not Sturridge, for the DGW. Others have said that this is not so clear, as Sturridge is closer to the goalmouth. What do we say? Suarez a necessity for those protecting a lead/rank?

      I don't really think it matters if you're chasing or leading, get the players you think will score best. If they were the same price, I'd say get Suarez every time, but 3m is a lot that you can spend elsewhere in your team.

    Ok guys little question here : i own gibbs and don't know what to do with him, i heard people giving shout out to debuchy but is the newcastle defence reliable enough ? also i have fletcher and with the arriving of graham i don't think he will be as nailed on so i could get rid of him and gibbs next week with 2 freebies and get someone like benteke and enrique ? any thoughts ?

        I gambled on him over Dzeko last week, was sure by Friday he wouldn't start, was overjoyed when he did, then aghast when he did nothing.

        That's a lot of emotions right there.

        I think I'll put him back in and bench El Fonz.
