As we close on a century of episodes it was time to freshen things up and bring new voices to accompany my drone and that of grumpy Granville. In this weeks’ episode, we draft in both “Professor” Chris Atkinson and his “Rate My Team” computer, plus long-time community member and contributor, Jonty, for a new ScoutCast regular.

Don’t worry, the usual format remains intact although, having recorded this just minutes after last night’s whistles, Granville escapes the usual mini-league grilling. Not surprisingly, there’s plenty of “Granny’s miffed” to endure, plus “All Aboard” and the weekend preview. That’s’ rounded off by the “Full Jonty” a brand new feature that will bring you, the community, into our weekly ramblings.

          yep , decided it best to make three transfers all in one go for a hit. What they are will depend onwhat happens this weekend.

          Will only lose .1 on Gibbs and lose nothing the next time he drops so can keep him for days yet before i lose more than .1

          thought about replacing him , but there only one Baines !! and couldnt see anyone else worth bothering with

      I woudn't want to own a 6.0m defender prone to rotation with limited ability to keep clean sheets. The fact is, with Jones, Smalling, Vidic, Verdinand and eventually Evans all fit, the back four is anyone's guess any given week.

          If Fellani cant score against Villa then there going to be mass defections , it would also indicate he not worth owning . I can downgrade him to a mid worth upto 5.2 , will pick one with a few decent fixtures.

      Gerrard has always seemed a great option but because I've got Bale, Walcott and Mata who I really want to keep for the long term and also the fact that he's expensive, I would go for a Suarez/Sturridge/Enrique combo.

      But in your case, I reckon C - go on an all out attack with Gerrard and Suarez.

          Not exactly. It's a short term gamble for the DGW. Although his starts are not guaranteed, he does play behind the lone striker. I, however, must confess this is all based on feelings. Could go wrong but doesn't look like it will. 😀

    1) What do you think of Sturridge now - after watching him play a few games - as a viable alternative to Suarez for Pool cover?

    2) 'Cause I'm thinking of doing these transfers after the DGW (to field XI)

      He seems to be the main man up front...I personally am dabbling with 3-5-2 so I wouldn't have him as a 3rd striker, but in that price range he would be great value alongside RvP / Aguero.

            well at the moment i will have 5.2 to spend on fellanis replacement , but in a few weeks when i downgrade GJ should have over 7 to get sturridge , then will lose Suarez and maybe Cisse , going take a few weeks , but not that many

            after gw 26 starts lose GJ so can start 11
            GW 27 upgrade pog to sturridge
            GW 28 Swap Suarez to whoever

    Posted this a few articles back, and I hope to get some opinions from the DZ's this afternoon.

    GW25: Save FT.
    GW26: Fletcher ➡ Sturridge
    Fellaini ➡ Henderson
    GW27: Sturridge ➡ Giroud

    Originally, the plan is to ship a GJ or Enrique into the team instead of Fellaini for Hendo, but I'm going to go with a gamble on Hendo on this one.

    The key piece of information this weekend will be whether Jose Enrique regains his place and plays the full game. There will be 6 days between the two DGW games. His PPG has been impressive.

      I still prefer GJ as a DWG punt.

      But then again I preferred Luiz to Azpil and look what happened... maybe its the Spanish DGW touch! (Torres GW1, Mata/ Azipl GW22 ... Enrique/Michu GW26? 😯 )
