Gareth Bale tops the ICT Index for Gameweek 25, with a change in position significantly boosting the Welshman’s stats in Tottenham’s trip to West Brom. Unsurprisingly, Moussa Sissoko and Marouane Fellaini both rank in our top five after bagging a brace apiece at the weekend, while Jay Rodriguez and Adel Taarabt also feature highly for their respective displays for Southampton and QPR last Saturday:

Our members can, of course, get the full data behind the Index scores via our members area but, as always, we’ve compiled our guide to the figures that turned our heads in Gameweek 25…

    Sissoko

Who thinks he's a flash in the pan? Who thinks he's this season's Siggy/McClean?

The sample size is small, but he is 100% worth a punt at his price. Considering his position he is more like this seasons Cisse. Last game he had amazing stats for a midfielder.

Ideally you would like him for the NEW fixture, but personally I dont plan on owning him any more this season. So I would not mind using the blank as an excuse to get rid. I think there will be some second part of the season bandwagons and Sissokho could easilly be one of the main ones.

I somehow ended up captaining Aguero over Ba. Rather be lucky than good I guess, although I maintain Ba would have bagged a hattrick if he hadn't broken his nose.

Worth a hit anywhere? I was thinking maybe Michu for Fellaini or Suarez for Aguero, but with doubts about Demel that would mean another hit to get a full 11 the week after, so I might just stand pat.

Everyone is a rotation risk for the Norwich game. I think Fergie will try and take liberties with a weak team and then be forced to bring on the big guns to force a result.

Not immune, but near enough. Buttner might get a couple a season, but mostly domestic cup. There's a reason noone had heard of him, he's a proper understudy and not the successor. Despite Evra's perceived dip in form the last season or two he's a dressing room leader and Fergie loves him. He's also very tough physically if you look at his tally of games the last three seasons.

He might get rested for Norwich, say a 30% chance, but I'd be very surprised. Evans could at a total injury crisis formed push cover LB, but I can only think of once he's played there for United despite appearances for NI there and being pretty much two-footed. LB is certainly nothing like the RB situation -- until Fabio returns next season that is.

If you're considering splashing out on Evra, your only real threat is Buttner and it's not a risk IMHO. If Evra is worth the money or not is a totally different question...

    Post from earlier about DGWers....

If you go with three outfild then you have 11...+3...+11 (no transfer needed) meaning 25 chances of scoring points over the DGW and blank

If you go with 4 outfield then you have 11...+4...+10...+1 (FT) meaning 26 chances of scoring over the DGW and blank without hits

If you go with 5 outfield then you have 11...+5...+9..+1(FT) meaning once again 26 chances of scoring over the DGWand blank without hits

Really doesn't make a massive difference which one you do other than wether or not you fancy the two home games that Liverpool have and wether you are willing to risk injuries and mess your team up for it..

    Gerrard(DGW) Mata(WIG) Lampard(WIG) Walcott(sun)
    Sturridge(DGW)(C) Suarez(DGW)

    De Gea (Bunn)
    Baines - Zabaleta - DAVIES - Onouha - Pearce
Mata - Walcott - MICHU - Bale -Fellaini
    RvP - STURRIDGE - Pog

0.4 in the bank and 2 FT

    What to do?

    A
    Baines to Dawson
    Fellaini to Kebe
Pog to Suarez and (c) him

    B
    Baines to Enrique
Fellaini to Gerrard ------ and (c) Sturridge

A is for -4 pts hit and B is for free

Also, I have 65 pts lead in ML and my rivals will have Suarez (c) for sure...

Can you tell me what is better move in your opinion, A or B? Thanks

I have to get this off my chest. I see a lot of teams are offloading RVP in a season where most other forwards are struggling to match the performance of midfielders, and where the alternative replacements with the same output are few. Having RVP is putting money in the bank and getting the highest possible return the bank (the game) can offer. You also lose the most consistent captain material in the game, and yes he's had a rough patch, but in GW 24 he had a goal disallowed which wasn't offside, and a freak save from the keeper on another occasion. Yes, the midfielders have a freak season so far, probably due to their forwards not performing so far (Mata, Lamps, Haz, Bale, Walcott, Fellaini, Michu, Gerrard-when there wasn’t any other Lpool players scoring than Suarez). Historically this won’t continue, and I feel the people losing RVP are taking a huge risk. He is in fact the only striker other than Suarez that are performing on the level you would expect , but the future output of Suarez remains to be seen with the Sturridge partnership.

    I get that Rooney is the only and natural replacement then, but still, consider this;

    - RVP is on penos
    - RVP’s consecutive output looks like this; 2 in a row, 7 in a row, 10 in a row…6 games without goals/assists.
    - Rooney is injury prone this year. What do you do if Rooney gets injured again, and you’ve sold RVP?
    - RVP only need a sniff/20 minutes to score, in fact he's done it twice this year.
    - RVP has 27 goals+assists in 25 matches this year. Last year he had 43 goals+assists in 36ish games, the season before that he had similar returns 18 goals+assists in 20ish matches.

Good frigging luck the rest of the season if you offload RVP. The only rational move is to double up on Rooney and RVP – now this I believe in. Between them they average 2.4 goals+assists per game, and by now you can or should afford them both.

That is ridiculous. Get Aguero/Rooney instead of RVP and you can upgrade 2-3 of your defenders or you can upgrade one of your bench fodders to a serious player.

So it basically becomes RVP versus Rooney/Aguero+Possible upgrades.

It's a fair point...I have managed with Benteke/Mirallas/Lukaku all season long from the first day...I've averaged 55 points per game but because i haven't had a regular captain to hang my hat on it's cost me dear...probably between 5-10 points per game...Lose RVP and lose points because the Capt choice is that much harder..

Good post and will be overlooked by a lot of people. Key point in the last paragraph.

Ageuro and City have a lot to prove still going forward, be interesting to see how the return of Yaya effects things.

For those keeping RVP, I think the key thing is to not blindly Captain him without seriously weighing up the other options and factoring in form and fixtures. Just because he's your most expensive player, doesn't make him your biggest scorer each week, in fact if anything it probably means he won't be... For reference: see blindingly obvious decision to captain Fellaini against Villa, ignored in favour of RVP away. Guilty as charged.

Michu, blank, NEW, wba, ARS, TOT, nor, wig, SOT
