Denied more winnings by Mark Bunn’s penalty save from QPR’s Adel Taarabt, it was a case of so near and yet so far last time out. Paddy grabbed back our profit, then, leaving us all the more determined to see through the bluster of the double Gameweek and find a winner amongst this week’s Scout markets…

Not surprisingly, the double Gameweek players dominate our thinking, with Michu up first in our player markets. The 13-goal Spaniard is without a strike in six league starts but, with basement dwellers QPR at the Liberty, he should be in store for further opportunities to break that duck. Harry’s side have been solid of late but, with Michu retained in so many lineups with his two fixtures, we’re happy to back him with a goal to break the Rangers resolve. Paddy are offering 7/2 on a Michu goal with a Swansea clean sheet and, with QPR struggling to breakthrough at the other end, we’re happy to back that with £4 of this week’s stake.

Steven Gerrard is our other double Gameweek performer on show – lining up in the Scout Picks off the back of some incredibly consistent form, his owners will fancy him for further returns when West Brom pay visit to Anfield on Monday night. Paddy’s odds of 9/2 on a Gerrard goal with a clean sheet for the Liverpool back four look favourable and worthy of another £3 of our cash.

That’s leaving us short for our final two markets, which is a shame when we look at what’s on offer. Odds of 10/1 on a Robert Snodgrass goal with a Norwich clean sheet at home to a Fulham side that could be without Dimitar Berbatov, look tempting. Snodgrass has been the key performer for the Canaries this term and while Chris Hughton’s outfit have struggled for a cutting edge of late, we fancy Snodgrass’ ability from a dead-ball to be a factor here. We’re gladly lay down a couple of quid on this one.

That leaves just a single pound coin to toss the way of this week’s treble. This time around we’ve gone with the tide of form and featured Wayne Rooney in the market, with Paddy offering 14/1 on a Rooney goal against his former club Everton, together with a Juan Mata assist against Wigan and a clean sheet for Liverpool in Monday’s clash with West Brom. If all three of those come in, we’ll have our stake back with some profit to show.

I can't remember exactly. Zigic the main man hardly got any minutes over the 3 games. Not a single clean sheet. In fact minus points for many. Birmingham were just awful and didn't do anything.

I have three double game weekers (Strurridge, Davis and Michu). Need to use one of my free transfers. Is it worth getting another double game weeker if I will have to take them straight out next week?

all my plans down the drain with the injury to onouha....sigh
    A: Initial plan
    gw26: do baines >> GJ...leaving me with 5dgw players
gw27: do suarez + GJ >>> augero + sagna (-4)...leaving me with 11 (assuming onouha plays) and 10 players if onouha doesnt play

    B: possible new plan
gw26: save FT and start baines & fellaini against utd
    gw27: do 2FT's and field an 11

What should i do?? lpool might keep 2cs...so is it worth the risk of having only 10 players next gw

Nope. You get half the value of the rise. It would need to go up to 9.9 for you to get 9.7. Just wait for todays last minute transfers to take place you will probably get there at tonights rises I would think.

Best defender for 4.1m or less?

    Baines & Lambert -> xxx & Suarez

    a) Turner
    b) Pearce
    c) Wilson
    d) Someone else

    a) seems the obvious shout, but it means I'll be 0.1m short of Suarez -> Aguero next week, unless I take a hit (which I actually might need to given I'd be hoping for starts from Demel & Marveaux to field 11)
    b) means doubling on REA defence (already have Harte)
    c) unsure when he'll be back - would be a disaster if not back next week

    Szczesny, (Bunn)
    Baines, Enrique, Davies, (Harte), (Demel)
    Bale, Mata, Walcott, Fellaini, (Marveaux)
    Rvp, Sturridge, Lambert

respost on this article, the older one seems dead...

Hello all! So now that Sturridge still isn’t sure to play on monday, would it just be plain stupid to go for him over Suarez for (C)? I was gonna do it as a differential to catch up in my mini-league, but it would be horrible to find he’s not playing the first game… anybody still giving Studge the armband?

Same dilemma. I think Suarez and Sturridge, if both 100% fit, are pretty close choices for (c). But there is that little risky Sturridge isn't fit, so at the moment I got it on Suarez.
