With Gareth Bale and Michu tearing up defences and delivering big returns from Saturday’s matches, there’s much anticipation ahead of Sunday’s programme. While Aston Villa’s clash with West Ham seems likely to be an edgy battle of attrition, the Old Trafford clash between United and Everton looks to have a lot going for it. Sir Alex Ferguson’s teamsheet will be of keen interest in that one, while the Toffees will be looking to repeat last season’s thrilling 4-4 draw and perhaps keep the title race interesting.

The early team news is in and sees Paul Lambert make three changes to the Villa XI, with Nathan Baker, Fabian Delph and Jordan Bowery replacing Joe Bennett, Karim El Ahmadi and Gabby Agbonlahor.

For the Hammers, Joe Cole and Emanuel Pogatetz come in for Matt Jarvis and Ricardo Vaz Te; Guy Demel is on the bench.

    So do we think RVP/Rooney will come off at half time?

    Fergie usually loves to make his subs around the 65-70th minute mark so I'm guessing both will play until then if the score is still 2-0.

    Who actually cares who sold rvp or not. it is just a game at the end of the day and who are we to criticise each other for playing the game our own ways and making decisions/gambles for ourselves?

    RVP may outscore Rooney etc this week but what about next week or even last week? Gosh this pleasure people on here seem to gain out of other peoples 'misfortune' is nauseating. Rant over

      Of course, we (RVP sellers) are a little sad that RVP scored and assisted. And the same would apply if I sold Bale this week. It's a natural reaction, if the player you sell does well, you can be a little sad about it. What's all the hue and cry, that this move was just plain stupid. It was a calculated decision that didn't pay off immediately.

      For most of us, we were planning to get Rooney next week, or RVP 3 weeks later. The plan hasn't changed.

    2 weeks blanks of RVP is actually good for us now. If he didnt get those blanks, not many people would sell him. This week 50k people sold him, it's good chance for people in top 50k to climb in rank 🙂

    Why are all the captain hind sights coming out in the masses? I know at this stage I'm probably being annoying so I'll wrap it up. There was plenty of logic in ditching RVP this week. Everton have caused United huge problems in recent games, and RVP was the favourite to be rested for Wednesday's game against Real. I wanted Suarez and my option wa to ditch either RVP or Aguero. My logic was that City played an essential Southampton game, whereas United could chillax a little. So it was entirely justified to bring in a DGW player with 2 home games.... I'll leave it at that.

        But as a one-week punt where you have to ditch either an on-form Aguero (sou) or an off-form RVP who could be rested (EVE), it makes so much sense to ditch RVP for a week. Remember, not long term, just a one-week punt

      Well, I had the same option and kept RVP and ditched Aguero. You overthunk that decision I think - my logic was "you don't sell RVP"

      Exactly. By not owning him you know what you're letting yourself in for and can't act surprised. You just to hope that the money you've spent elsewhere has made up for not owning him.
