The ScoutCast emerges from under the duvet, Lemsip soaked and coughing and spluttering its way towards a century of episodes. After a two-week break, the full crew are assembled as Granville joins me to celebrate his Gameweek victory, Professor Chris Atkinson returns from the slopes to charge up his “Rate My Team” computer and Jonty chips in with another community-powered “Full Jonty”.

Around this we discuss the unlikely scenario of selling on Robin, give our Scout League leaders a shout-out, analyse the transfer ins and outs in “All Aboard” and look ahead to the weekend’s programme.

The “Full Jonty” rounds things off as “Ginkapo” gets the treatment, prompting a love-in with a certain Serbian left-back.

        Mata's underlying stats have been horrendous. Only took 4 shots last 4 weeks 😯 He is still a class act and could easily score a FK, assist from a corner and grab some baps, but Bale's recent performances are too much to overlook, I think.

        captaincy made easy since it'd be hard for me to captain Bale against the Gunners.

        i've been adviced earlier to paly Davies too, like an "offset" to me if Papiss doesn't do well at Swansea. but if i don't play Cuellar now, i don't know when i'm going to do so.

    Glenn Johnson is firing plenty of shots & crating chances, all to not avail. I hope he does something against Wigan, or the decision to pick him over Enrique will turn out to be a total pain in the rear. 10 shots 6 chances created in the last 6, near the top of the 'dangerous defenders' rankings.

      He looks a bit out of form. I favored him over Enrique for the attacking potential but it backfired duting the DGW. The pace, the shots and the crosses are there but he hasn't been making the best decisions. A couple of lost possessions that also don't look good. All that can change in one game.

        I've hooked it onto Aguero at the minute with Bale (v). Bale's form is incredible.

        Pondering a Van Persie - Suarez switch too meself. Sturridge being a doubt makes that choice a little easier..

      has to be sissoko in my opinion.Yes he's on a good run but we do not have as much data for him. All the others have scored well over a lot more games (sturridge not as much, but he is about as attacking as it gets)

    Pepin, I have been thinking about RVP > Suarez all week but I am extremely concerned about the history of this Wigan fixture...

    0-0, 1-1, 1-0, 1-1... Liverpool haven't won in 4 years there and have only scored 2 goals... 😕

      I posted this in the LiveZone earlier and got chewed. My argument was that regardless of form, there are always 'tough' fixtures for some teams. It's true across leagues. Now, there are probably exceptions to the rule...but I agree with you. That said, he is still the best option out of any other forward over the next two, as far as I am concerned. No?

        Yes when you consider this is for next week too, then the argument about then struggling at Wigan becomes a little thinner...

        But IMO, this game is happening at just the wrong time for Liverpool... Wigan are about to go on another one of these late season runs.. and a Pool scalp is all they need to get the motor running... 😕

        Liverpool seem a different attacking side this year though, with Suarez form and Sturridge, so I'm still thinking Suarez (c) is one of the best options this week

        Spot on! Add to that the fact that Wigan actually have looked half-decent and are known for their ability to pick up points around this time of the season... Also holding off on making the RVP > Suarez

    Hey guys,

    Lambert seems to be getting a lot of love here, but is anyone considering RVP -> Cisse instead?

    ML leader has the exact same midfield as me, and has Suarez and Lambert so really think I need something different.

    Other strikers are Anichebe and Suarez.

        Unfortunately only have 0.5 in the bank. I have Fellani, RVP, Anichibe (and Bertrand!!) who are all doubts this week, so thinking with RVP blank next week might have to move him on...

        Would love to swap for Aguero but again he has probable blank, there are no options left!

            At the moment I have 7 (8 with pearce) players out for GW29 tho, so I cant afford to transfer in Aguero if he has a blank, so if I shift RVP it has to be for a player with a game GW 29.

            So the only options really are Cisse or Lambert, Sturridge maybe if he wasn't a doubt this week.

            Giroud's undelying stats have been good and he has every chance to score in the derby. RvP >> Suarez is the only one that I'd suggest but you already have Sturridge...If you upgrade Marv you may have a benching issue. Can you get Sess for Marv?

              true. but i could lose rvp. why not lambert though? would be for two weeks and then get rvp back.

              can afford anyone up to 7.2 in for marv so yes i could get sess. why do you think him over another mid? and yeah it'd give me a benching issue this week (but rvp or studge could be out) then i'd be fine in gw 29 and then i could lose him in gw 30 perhaps....

              the money in the bank could also be used to upgrade giroud this week or next to suarez/aguero though....

                Sess got a watchlist article, he has a nice short-term schedule and seems to be enjoying playing out-wide. Could be a good option. Lambert is a very solid option too. Up to you mate.

              honestly i only know about half your players.... but i mostly only know sounders players + the big names + a few random players here and there

              I'd do park to hurtado (sounders) imo. we've got a solid defense which I think was ranked in the top 3 last year or something like that. hurtado is cheaper I believe and parke just switched clubs. I recon he should start but it's not 100% sure
