The ScoutCast emerges from under the duvet, Lemsip soaked and coughing and spluttering its way towards a century of episodes. After a two-week break, the full crew are assembled as Granville joins me to celebrate his Gameweek victory, Professor Chris Atkinson returns from the slopes to charge up his “Rate My Team” computer and Jonty chips in with another community-powered “Full Jonty”.

Around this we discuss the unlikely scenario of selling on Robin, give our Scout League leaders a shout-out, analyse the transfer ins and outs in “All Aboard” and look ahead to the weekend’s programme.

The “Full Jonty” rounds things off as “Ginkapo” gets the treatment, prompting a love-in with a certain Serbian left-back.

Take the temperature of this latest episode via this link, or follow Doctors orders and stream your medicine via the player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Ok.. I guess I was lucky that my transfer plans coincided with RVP camerapitgate.

I can roll transfers, and save, so I go (over 2 or 3 GWs)
          RVP → Lambert
          Fellaini → Sissoko
          Pog → RVP

that looks good, but a 3 week transfer plan is pretty unlikely to unfold like that - you know there'll be injuries and wot not messing it up.

fwiw i'm not even doing anichebe _> lambert this week, even though i can without a hit, and i plan to do it next week anyway. I'm gunna play rvp, i think he could come on and get points, and i think he might not be rested (although clearly he probably will), i want 2ft next week

so if i leave that league and enter the other one, that starts a week earlier, and i make elite again, i can quit the lesser one and rejoin elite? or is that really rude?

I wanna be in elite 64, i quit another league for it, but i dont have another league to drop.

Better to enter the FPL Open. You could leave the FFS League for a few weeks at most & join it. Once you get knocked out of one, you could re-enter.

I did RVP to Lambert earlier this week for the FT.

    My team for GW :
    Jask
    Davies, Harte, Demel
    Mata, Bale, Lamp, Fell
    Suarez (c), Sturridge, Lamb

    Subs: Walcott, Naughton, Martin

GW 29 : Thinking of taking 4 pt hit to field in 10 players

    Walcott to Michu
    Fellani to Sisoko

I will be okay with Jask in goal as my other keeper is Turnbull. Taking a 4 pt hit for goal keeper is not what i expect.

How does the same look for GW 28 and 29

I think I'm pretty set on losing RVP unless we hear news that they have their GW29 fixtures still in GW29. The way I see it is if we hear nothing then it is highly likely that both Manchester games will also be postponed. This means consecutive blanks (most likely 😉 ) and I think another striker, be that Suarez/Lambert/Cisse etc is more than capable of making it worth the 2FTs it will use to ditch him and bring him back...

If worst comes to worst, and I ditch and they do have a game in GW29, then depending on the CL result, I can get him back in next week and not be too worried as I'll only have Mata and Walcott out for GW29...

    Thoughts?

That was pretty off point, sorry (i may have had a few, its pretty late here in england)

if you can easily lose and get back rvp then do it - the main reason i'm not is that the best looking strikers right now are cheap. It's benteke and ALmbert, followed by suarez cisse and sturridge for me. and i can do anichebe to lambert without a hit.

in conclusion, maybe swapping rvp out would work well for you, but i dont think it would for me.

Yeah, I can definitely see where you're coming from. It all depends on the state of your team and how easily you can move him on and out. I have plenty in the bank already so value loss isn't really an issue for me.

I still haven't decided which striker I'll replace him with. If I get Lambert, I'll have 8.2 in the bank 😆

Sadly I think there are better assets out there than Rooney. I understand the concept of having united cover, but I think money could be better spent than on Rooney, unless you are strictly talking about a united DGW.

    Dear Dead Zone,

you have a unique opportunity. I have no favourite MLS team, but the website demands me to get one.

It's between Vancouver Whitecaps and Seattle Sounders.

What do you think? Please give a reason.

Vancouver is Canada's third most rainy city, with over 161 rainy days per year. As measured at Vancouver airport in Richmond, Vancouver receives 1199 mm of rain per year. By comparison, the amount of rainfall in London, England is nearly half that of Vancouver.

Seattle. In an average year, at least 0.01 inches (0.25 mm) of precipitation falls on 152 days. It is cloudy 201 days out of the year and partly cloudy 93 days. At950 mm, the city receives less precipitation annually than Boston (1,110 mm), New York (1,268 mm), Washington, D.C. (1,008 mm), Atlanta (1,262 mm), and most cities on the Eastern Seaboard of the U.S.

Humbug, Snake Juice! You are not giving this unique opportunity with due respect. 🙂

    Good morning here from johannesburg:)

I have only been thinking about gw29 but with sturridge and rvp not playing this weekend...need to balance both gameweeks.

    Ddg (bunn)
    baines davies cueller (onouha harte)
    michu fellaini bale wally (maloney)
    rvp sturridge giroud....1FT and 2.3m

So i have fellaini, wally, baines, rvp, maloney, giroud for the blank...not sure who to get rid off
    - Fellaini....good fixture this week
    - baines...good fixture this week
    - wally...want to keep for long term
    - maloney....might still have a game if city-wigan goes ahead
    - rvp....i could take him out..will loose 0.4
    - giroud...can also take him out but derby might be high scoring and he can easily score points this gw

A: rvp >> augero (if city game goes ahead)
    B: giroud >> any strikers upto 10.3
    C: giroud + fellaini >> augero + sissoko (-4)
    D: save FT

also i am not sure what to do with cueller/onouha...any idea if they will get back in the lineup?

I'd be tempted to sell RVP if he's not in the Norwich squad and it looks unlike he'll have a GW29 fixture. Saving your FT is probably wise though. I'd sell Ba next week for sure and at least one other player with a blank (but not Walcott - keep for the DGW)

I have had it on him all week but being swayed towards bale especially since I heard he's scored more goals against arsenal than any other club. I know that kind of stat is a bit silly, admittedly. Also so many deadzoners are captaining bale it seems rude not to 😀

Anyway as a southampton fan if lambert scores well I will be happy regardless of captaincy

Alright lads what do you do if your opponent in your H2H ML has RVP, Lambert and Pog up front. I have RVP, Sturridge and Anichebe, thought I'd get away with it before the Sturridge news. Our midfield is the same except I have Mata to his Michu and he has Sissoko to my Fella. Should I use my FT on RVP to Lambert for this week and the next? Or should I be ballsy and hold even though I may not get any minutes from any of my forwards.
