We’re down to just 64 teams in Paddy Power Members Cup, as Gameweek 28 saw another round of managers fall by the wayside.

Former winner “Fuzzy Dunlop” remains in the mix, edging his way through to the fourth round with a narrow 75-72 victory over “Stills”. The community juggernaut that is “Evs” also rolls on – ranked 14th in the world, he disposed of his third round opponent, “ff addict” by a convincing 81-66 scoreline. As for the contributors, Paul remains in the hat, cruising to a 64-52 victory over “Schnitzengrubens”.

With a decimated Gameweek 29 providing the next round of matches, we could see some upsets next time around. The draw for the fourth round will be published tomorrow afternoon.

    Morning guys!

So, Federici out. I have DDG as first keeper, and I think he'll miss a few. Depending on the length on his injury, I'm considering a -4 to get a backup keeper who plays this week and can sub for DDG if he's benched towards the end of the season for Lindegard. What options we have around 4.5 and cheaper?

    A) Robert Green (not sure about the length of Cesar's injury)
    B) Bunn
    C) Boruc
    D) Someone else?

      • 13 Years

Or is it silly to do -4 for a keeper? I'm thinking I'll get back, PPG wise, around 2 points this GW and easily more if DDG misses some games.

Elliot seems a decent punt indeed, considering the fixtures, but worried he won't be around when I need him, in other words the last gameweeks where I think DDG has the highest chances of being benched.

Depends on who gets through in the FA Cup this week innit.

Arsenal has a double in 33, that's the only known double, I think

Only confirmed double so far, yeah. Everton will miss GW33 double if they get through in the FA Cup as I understood it.

If Everton progress in the cup vs Wigan, their game against QPR in gw33 would be postponed. That would leave just their game vs Arsenal in a SGW33. The QPR game would then need to be rescheduled giving them another DGW at some point.

All the other teams missing games this coming week will have DGWs at some point. Who knows when (other than Arsenal who have DGW33).

I'm guessing GW36 for a big DGW. Those who get to the cup semis will have another blank, but it's almost certain that one of the games they need to re-arrange will be in GW33, giving them a single gameweek again. But Cup Final day is on GW37 - so the two who make it (assuming they will be PL teams) will rest a few players for any potential doubles in GW36. A lot of ifs and buts here, of course.

He's still nailed on, not like Taylor will walk into the team as soon as he starts training, he needs match fitness + Davies doing well. I think it's just the fixtures are judged to be not-so-good for defensive returns.

Cheers for previous reply - just not keen on taking a hit for a def this week. I'll prolly be playing WC within 2/3 weeks so will sort JEvans out then.

In relation to my rank, i'm not sure 😆 Think I held my Christmas WC too long and then didn't get any benefit from it; either that or I took off my Santy Hat too early 😀

Had also had a great run over christmas - hatricks every week it seemed! Hoping this next WC will see me climb again.
