There was a major shock in the Members Cup Fourth Round last weekend, as world number 15 and site regular Evs tasted defeat at the hand of Rodallega Bombs. His conqueror has form, though, and sits just inside the top 1500 so far this term. Elsewhere, former winner Fuzzy Dunlop is still in the mix after winning 62-54, Diz was the round’s highest scorer with 72 points earning him a place inside the top 500 overall, while Paul continues to fly the flag for the Contributors. We’re sorting out the draw for the last 32 behind the scenes and should have that with you tomorrow..

          Yeah I think so TW. Not much in it except in the price difference. For tibbs it means sturridge over Lambert too which should work out.

      The FA cup replay between United and Chelsea is crucial. Ideally United go through and Chelsea are dumped from the Europa League by the mighty Bucharesti.

      Then we have a nice run for Chelsea players before we swap them to United players!

      dont like it at all - remy has still 2-3 good games with his current fixtures, and double up on pool strikers looks wastefull (could work of course, but could end up in tears).
      also, changing sturridge will leave you with more money which you will need very soon.

      let me guess - you have RVP?

      the point is what would someone without EITHER should do?
      or in other words, most people can bring rooney without a hit and RVP only if they downgrade elsewhere.
      now calm down and think logically and then you can stil say RVP if you want to, but after proper consideration.

          Do you realise all the good players left after the first few weeks because the site wasn't up to scratch and your only playing against mostly sleepers and casuals - therefore not to have a decent rank by just logging in is really the case.

      I nearly gave it up for a bad job, but stuck with it and got a GW rank of 133 this week. I still don't care much about it. Want to finish in top 1000 in FPL, Sky and UCL games.

    here's an interesting stat for you:

    Sturridge has has superior stats for shots in the box and shots on target in the last 6 gameweeks than both RVP and Rooney, despite having less time on the pitch.

          Yea, I don't rate him as a player either, but I plan on harnessing his greed for own ends - he throws a lot of mud and some of it's got to stick given the fixtures.

          He's in my team (till the w'end ) as I font let my personal feelings cloud my Fpl ones (heck I've Suarez ! ) but IMO to mention Sturridge in the same sentence as Rooney and Rvp in regards to stats/goals etc is absurd , and genuinely do you really think both City and Chelsea would have let him go if he was that good - a poor mans wellbeck I say.

            We don't know what happened at City or Chelsea. He did have good spells at Chelsea but that's in the past anyway.

            As long as he continues matching RVP and Rooney - two of the leagues best strikers - in terms of shots in the box and shots on goal, he's impossible to ignore, regardless of whether you think he's a good player.

              Sturridge is a very good player.

              The worry lies with the multiple risks:

              1) Ongoing thigh injury
              2) suspension of Suarez

              Either will adversely affect his production.

              Only Man Utd have a better front 2 than Liverpool and its very close!

                I rate Suarez as the best in the league but Aguero/Tevez is better than Suarez/Sturridge. Rvp/Rooney is much better

              Fpl wise he's decent value but only in the same bracket as Lamb/Lukaka/Benteke ,
              As an actual player I'd rate the above 3 as better and wouldn't even enter my head in the same sentence ( unless in the future he proves otherwise ) as Suarez/Rvp/Rooney/tevez and I'm not throwing in Torres there either 😉

      Tink I don't think anyone in their right mind thinks Studge is a bad pick all of a sudden. Most on here realise he'll continue scoring well. I may be wrong but I get the impression you think no-one rates him
