As you may have seen earlier in the week, we’re now at a stage where we can begin testing a beta version of HomeCrowd comments, our new comments system, with some members of the community.

For this first phase we’re looking for a very small group of testers to ensure that we find any early compatibility issues on browsers and devices with the current steup, try out some of the basic functionality and to collect some early feedback and ideas.

This first version has very few bells and whistles aside from the ability to vote on comments, sticky comments, sort comments by rating and the addition of inline moderation tools. The latter will enable us to recruit moderators from the community for the first time and we’ll be testing this out with some of our volunteers on this first phase.

On the whole, HomeCrowd currently resembles the current version very closely – that is intentional for the first iteration. Those who help us out with some testing will get some further insight into the system and future ideas before it goes live, however.

If you’d be interested in helping us with this testing, please email us at homecrowd@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk with your username used on the site, your browser and device you’d be using to test the site and the hours you’d be around to help test.

All being well, we’ll get invites out and begin the first round of tests on Sunday.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

          The article on the bbc says "up to 10 days", I do think he must genuinely be injured cos on current form he would be in englands first XI against undeniably their strongest opponents on paper in this group.

          Missing the Reading game would be a shame but it could also be an advantage for those with good squads. Everyone will have him and no-one will want to see lightly so it could come down to 5th mids, 3rd strikers or even 4th/5th defenders.

        Seeing as the injury was done in training, Facer wont have that facet of info to observe his "restricted movement" etc, he kinda got the sturridge one wrong too. Sturridge is probably injured because his body aint used to playing consecutive games!

    If Walcott is definitely out, I can do Enrique > Mertz & Walcott > Caz (-4pts, but only way I can afford it) to leave me with;

    Beg
    Dawson (doubt) Mertz R. Martin
    Caz Bale Sissoko Coutinho
    RVP Rooney Suarez

    Fed - N'Zog - Debuce - B.Davies

    My concerns are that either RVP or Rooney are gonna be rested against Sunderland, potentially even both. Whilst it's definitely a wait-til-sat-11:15am gameweek, I can only afford the above switches if Caz/Mert's price don't rise.

    Dilemma!

    "Manchester United head coach Sir Alex Ferguson has been fined 10,000 for non-fulfilment of the post-match media obligations at the same match."
