That’s it, the deadline has passed and all we can do now is sit back and enjoy. Whether this gameweek, or indeed this Saturday can go anywhere near replicating the exhilaration we had last week, we start with a game of huge significance.

It’s the second Manchester derby of the season, and with just a dozen or so games left in the season, a win for United will probably end City’s title ambitions, whereas the reverse will blow it wide open. A draw seems likely (I’m going for a United win, obviously), but let’s just hope it easily betters their previous meeting at Eastlands. Either way, enjoy the action as it unfolds in our Dugout Discussion Chatroom.

The build-up has already started on the telly and, more importantly than Dwight Yorke’s poor effort with his usually dazzling attire, the team sheets from Old Trafford are in, and the big news is that top-scorer Dimitar Berbatov is dropped to the bench…

Man Utd XI: VDS, O’Shea, Smalling, Vidic, Evra, Fletcher, Scholes, Anderson, Nani, Giggs, Rooney

Man City XI: Hart, Richards, Kompany, Lescott, Zabaleta, Milner, Barry, Silva, Yaya Toure, Kolarov, Tevez

A five-man midfield is not just bad news for the neutrals hoping for an open game, but critically for those fantasy managers that held onto Berbatov. Elsewhere, fantasy bargain Rafael is benched for the incoming John O’Shea, and Chris Smalling partners Nemanja Vidic in defence as expected. City once again utilise Aleksander Kolarov on the left in midfield.

Once the dust has settled in Manchester, we have six 3pm fixtures to enjoy, before Tottenham travel to Sunderland in our evening game.

Akers Richard or Akers, as he is known, has been regularly haunting this site since July 2008. He is young and foolish, take what he says with a pinch of salt. Follow them on Twitter

Rooney will get the 3bps for that winning goal, no question. It might not be technically right, in context of the whole game, but I'm sure he'll get them.

    Nani 2bps imo.

Watching the entire live game, neither Rooney nor Nani deserved the 3BPs. Instead VIDIC should get the 3bps; defended well, discipline, and playing a fantastic Captain's roll when United were leveled by City.
    Vidic 3
    Rooney 2
    Nani 1

I think the BPs are hard. Nani has to get some for a goal and assist and ROoneys goal for importance. But Vidic, Smalling and Silva probably all deserve some too

What I find really funny about City is they managed to beat us more often with Mark Hughes and NO money than with Mancini and bucketloads of cash..... 😀

City have all the money in the world, but have a midfield two of Gareth Barry and James Milner.

    EMBARRASSING.

Barry I can understand cos they got him when they were midtable trying to push on and he helped with that whatever your opinion of him is at the top level.

Finishing 5th last year and spending 20million on Milner to push you up the table is odd

As a United fan, I must admit following:

two best players today were Nani and Da Silva on the opposite side.

2nd best players were Vidic and Kompany - who really managed well with Rooney today.

Apart from those 4, I can only say that Rooney certainly did deserve a lot of credit for winning goal.

So BPS IMHO should be: Nani = 3; Da Silva = 2, Rooney = 1. Honorable mentions - Kompany & Vidic.

Jesus... just found out I'm paired against the person ranked 248th in the world...

Subsequently... just noticed he has Nani benched... 😉
