With the Champions League Quarter-Finals second legs kicking off in just a few hours, it’s time to turn our attentions to TotelFootball in a bid to scratch our European Fantasy football itch, whilst hopefully earning a few bob in the process.

If you’re new to TotelFootball, you’ve still plenty of time to get involved and, while you’ll have to pull out the stops to claim top ranking and an IPad3 in our Fantasy Football Scout Private Pool, you can still enter in order to stand a chance of winning one of several weekly free bet prizes. In addition, any new sign-ups immediately get themselves a free £10 bet with which to play the Main Pool game, which tonight has another £500 prize pool to compete for.

Read on for details of the current Private Pool standings and more on how you can get involved and our player picks for the Quarter-Final week two game. For the full details on TotelFootball, check our our earlier article.

Don’t forget that, with the deadline for tonight’s game 7.45pm, we can tweak with our squads ahead of tonight’s two matches after the official squad lists are published.

THE FANTASY FOOTBALL SCOUT POOL – CURRENT STANDINGS

Jkane89 remains at the summit after a 92 point haul last week took his total to 327 points thus far. He trebled up on the Bayern defence for the 2-0 home win over Juventus, while his decision to draft in a couple of Dortmund defenders in their goalless draw at Malaga made it a full house at the back. In midfield, Xavi and Mesut Ozil chipped in with a goal and assist respectively, while Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi both found the net up top.

Site regular GreenWindmill shifts into second spot courtesy of an 89 point haul last time out. He also selected three Bayern and two Dortmund players at the back, while Xavi, Ronaldo and Karim Benzema all produced a goal apiece as he moved to 308 points overall.

Sitting in third spot is another familiar name around the boards. ElNinoRules went all in on the Malaga v Dortmund match – all five of his defensive options were selected from this one match and his show of faith was rewarded with a goalless draw. Ozil supplied an assist from midfield, while PSG’s Blaise Matuidi and Bayern’s Thomas Muller both found the net as ElNinoRules racked up 86 points to move to 308 points.

FFS QUARTER-FINALS: WEEK 2 SELECTIONS

Having won all four of their home games in this year’s competition, Dortmund make a more than persuasive case for consideration ahead of a home clash with Malaga. The tie is finely balanced after a goalless first leg in Spain but we’re getting firmly behind Jurgen Klopp’s troops for this one – in defence, we’re opting for the raiding right-back Lukasz Piszczek, while Mario Gotze and Robert Lewandowski have both been tasked with producing the goals from midfield and up front respectively.

For this evening’s other match, we’ve drafted in a trio of Real Madrid players ahead of their trip to Galatasaray. The first leg result at the Bernabeu suits Jose Mourinho’s side perfectly – they take a 3-0 lead to Turkey and will be happy to sit back and counter on the break. Considering the hosts are without leading scorer Burak Yilmaz, we’ve called up Diego Lopez in goal and young centre-back Raphael Varane, while the irrepressible Cristiano Ronaldo is likely to benefit as the home side push forward in their attempt to claw back the first leg deficit.

Barcelona’s home match with PSG is perfectly poised after a 2-2 draw in Paris last midweek. With doubts still hovering over Lionel Messi’s availability after he was subbed off with a thigh muscle injury, we’re willing to gamble here and opt for Cesc Fabregas after the former Arsenal man bagged a hat-trick in last weekend’s win over Mallorca. The runaway La Liga leaders are another side that boast three of our selections – Jordi Alba’s attacking potential from left-back has already delivered two goals in this year’s tournament, while Andres Iniesta is also drafted in alongside Fabregas in midfield.

The Juventus – Bayern match is a tricky one to call. Domestically, the Italian side have dropped just two points in their last six at home, while the new Bundesliga champions have dropped two points on the road all season. With Antonio Conte’s side have to chase a two-goal deficit, though, the tie is firmly in Bayern’s favour – Juventus need to go on the offensive but are without a couple of key players, with Arturo Vidal and Stephan Lichtsteiner both suspended. Our faith in the home side is somewhat deterred, then, and we’re opting for Bayern to soak up the Old Lady’s pressure and strike on the counter – Philipp Lahm and Arjen Robben are our picks for this one.

I would prefer losing Bale or Michu and getting them back at a later date but if you've got too much invested in them I guess your transfers work. But I'd rather do something like Michu/Bale and Punch to Fellaini and Lampard/Pienaar/Kagawa/Gervinho

My only rival left is 16points behind me. And he has Rooney for the DGW

I have no United coverage? I'm able to buy both of Roo and RvP, but don't know if i want to.
My strikeforce is Suarez, Giroud and Lambert.

Or should i improve my defence with DDG/Rafa/evra??

He has Caz, Evans and Rooney for Dgw
I got Caz and Giroud (+Mertesacker, so no more arse cover)

this is gonna sound crazy even to you but here it is

I can't afford Theo anymore, but not sure I fancy Gerv or Rosicky over Pienaar. This means I have a spare Arsenal spot and a vacancy for a 4.1 defender that was reserved for Demel. But I was considering getting Jenks. I have Sagna already, will be playing Baines/Vert and Clichy every week. It's rotation proof

Its a wonderful plan imo. I was consideing Szcz + Fab for a while for similiar reasons. With the upcoming DGW36 you probably wont want to overload on arsenal attack again anyway.

            Why is it crazy?

              By GW36 I'll have

              Robles
              Alcaraz, Clichy, Vert

              in defence anyway
