Peaks and troughs – every Fantasy season has them and, this week, we revel in the Professor’s major trough in a futile attempt to break the man. After Robin Van Persie issues the boffin a spanking, the Professor shows his mettle by taking it on the chin. Admirable stuff.

While we’d have gladly devoted this entire episode to such gloating, we do manage to squeeze in the regulars, whilst Jonty turns up with more community gold: the tale of a globe trotting Fantasy manager who takes his advice off Frankfurt clubbers and QPR fans, whilst trying to figure out the Russian phrase for “please, wireless, I’m desperate – I have Djibril Cisse up front!”.

By the way, the Professor isn’t the only one who can take criticism on the chin. Granville and I want some feedback on the ScoutCast and my co-host has worked on a short survey to get your views. Take five minutes to help us out while you listen in via this link.

Reposting as i didn't get any help yesterday 🙁

Hey guys, I’m placed at 39th position(out of 2000 active players) in my respective mini-league and was wondering if someone can help me out with my team.
I had 2 FT and brought in Bale & Luiz in places of Cazorla & Rafael. Bank Balance – 0.2

My team
Jaaskalainen-Mignolet
Luiz-Davies-Nastasic-Wilson-Jenkinson
Nolan-Fellaini-Walcott-Mata-Bale
Berbatov-Lukaku-RVP

Now currently I have 6 DGW players but sadly four of them is involves in their own team’s rotational policies(Luiz-Nastasic-Lukaku-Mata) and have no free trades left.
So, as I am not going to win any prizes in my mini-league, I thought why not go out with a bang, with a couple of (-4)’s for the next gamesweek.

Number of possible options and will possibly take a (-8) next week:

1.RVP-Berbatov-Jaaskalainen for Aguero-Defoe-Hart
2.RVP-Berbatov-Fellaini for Tevez-Defoe-Hazard
3.Berbatov-Fellaini for Defoe-Maloney(This will be my first time picking a Wigan player)
4.Berbatov-Fellaini for Tevez-Maloney(for a -4 hit)
5.RVP-Berbatov-Jenkinson for Tevez-Defoe-Vertonghen

Please let me know of more viable options and help me select my Best 11 for the DGW’s. Is it worth it getting a (-8) hit ? Thanks

      Get him for a FT only. Don't take a hit for a defender. You'll probably be selling De Gea next GW for a DGW keeper,cos his nailed-on status is in doubt til end of season.

    I heard an interesting take on Johnson's running style being really old school. The thinking was that his style was more aerodynamic, less wind resistand. Bolt runs lower down to the ground with his arse pushed back. The thinking for that is that he is more efficient in his running, getting the best from his body rather than worry, unneccessarily about drag or wind resistance. Heard it from a sports physio, an interesting take on athletics.

      Yeah he had an almost unique style, if you watch the races in slow mo then his legs were just moving a lot quicker! Radio 5 interviewed him earlier this year and he said when he first met up with the US coaches they told him not to bother learning the correct style as he was doing fine without 🙂

        thanks.. gettin rid of rvp for a hit seems like a bad idea though.. thing is if i dont get tevez in early i'll have to wait till end of next week and get him at 9.4 making me lose out on other transfers so it makes sense doin it early

        Cheers. Providing they don't rise in price befor tonight's deadline, I just have enoug funds to do Fab and Berba to Hart and Kone for next week, giving me ten double gamers, hopefully enough to maybe then warrant the hits....here's hoping.

There seems to be a lot of panic floating about with this upcoming dgw and the injury's and suspensions. Theres guys taking big hits already this week -12 in a lot of cases if/when some players come back injured after the next round of games the **** is really going to hit the fan.And who is to say the dgw will work out the gw33 dgw was pretty much a let down for most people i scored 18 more points last week than in gw33 myself.

    Will happily take an -8 point hit but have the same worry. Issue former is I can see Chelsea playing nearly 2 separate teams due to fixture congestion and Raffa wanting to win a trophy. Man City is also a concern as apart from Hart and Kompany not sure who else will play 180 minutes?

    There are bound to be managers hurt bad investing in City and Chelsea players that would be very lucky if they see 90min or might not even get a game there will be tears that is for sure.

So I think I will take a 4 pt hit next week to do:

Monreal + Wilson -> Vertonghen + Kolarov

I have decided to take a wild punt on Kolarov for a hit. I think it might just pay off.

Is this worth it????, Baring in mind:

- I dont think RVP will play much v arsenal
- My defence was shot
- City and Tott have awesome fixtures now to the end

  hell bent kolarov huh.. pretty surprised that you just have 2 DGWers atm.. hits look necessary but i think you should keep Caz, Wally and berba for their fixture next week and take hits for the rest

    shipped bale before the dgw, shipped mata for theo for the double, and haven't really had any city or wigan players all year so that's where I am. theo vs qpr is enough for me tbh. caz hasn't been doing too well fantasy wise recently and i still have bad memories from doubling up on arsenal attack vs villa (and captaining walcott) and having it backfire massively.
    
    maybe i'll keep berba... undecided on that one atm.
