Think because you have insufficient budget to honour all three bids. So you take off the most expensive bid (6m), and you still have insufficient budget. You then take off the next most expensive bid (5m) and you can afford it - it being your 4m bid.

If this is unable to settle equal bids from the same team, the bidding order (1st, 2nd and 3rd) in the weekly submission shall determine the preference of each team

In this case you have exceeded your token budget by a considerable ammount. The most expensive successful bid will be considered void. In this case both the 6 token and 5 token bids become void so that the total bid is less than your 7token remaining budget.

because only one bid can go through as you have insufficient budget to get any two of the bids therefore the rules say that the highest value bid(s) are void leaving you with the 4m bid

I've lived 3 years around London as a student and my family's from Singapore, I go stay there for a month every couple of years.

Cost of living is high in both places but higher in London I think. Food certainly is cheaper in Singapore where you can get a decent meal for S$2-S$3 (~£1) in a hawker centre. Accommodation is pretty scarce though, probably worse than London, there are massive waiting lists for new government flats and anyone owning a house is probably a paper millionaire. Though of course if you're of decent means you should be fine. Living standards are really good there if you've got some money. Great transport (MRT), great weather, great food and peaceful. All things which are difficult to say of London.

What's the catches living in Singapore? Well, it's small geographically so you might feel the need to get away from the rat race; there's less variety in surroundings than London. Also the atmosphere in Singapore is very 'hothoused' - everyone works long hours for their standard of living. The schools are extremely good at all the 'hard' subjects like maths, sciences, humanities etc. The kids do get worked really hard though, educational attainment squeezes out all the other parts of growing up. Quite often in addition to the long school day they also have after-school tuition because it's so competitive.

All in all I think Singapore is a great place to be - if you manage to get the time to enjoy it.
