I can think of one person who’ll be happy with the result no matter what…

With the fixture list now confirmed, the Captain’s Poll for gameweek 29 has gone live on the frontpage. A full batch of Scout Notes on Everton’s match with Reading and the highly entertaining top of the table clash between Chelsea and Manchester United will follow.

    I think you'll find that he's just making that up.
    
    However, if it was true then it would serve all those people right who deliberately chose to bench players they knew had gameweeks in favour of playing the ones they knew had no FPL game this week.
    
    It would be ironic because they did it so that they could laugh at their rivals who supposedly would look at their low score and not realise that they had points scorers on the bench that would autosub in.
    
    If the autosub failed the laugh would be on them.

      That's a bit unfair-I always leave my best 11 in the team just in case I can't get to a computer in subsequent week(s) as the rules of the game are autosubs will come in.

        It'll get sorted so its a moot point.
        
        People moan on here about auto captain aiding the non interactive managers. Then they chose to deliberately field an 11 with guys they know will not be playing so that the computer will autosub in the ones they deliberately benched.
        
        Not having access to a pc is different to having access to it, bringing players in and then willfully choosing to not start them.

Kind of want to get Nolan out, but not sure who for. Can't afford VdV, but consider Dempsey a better shortish-term prospect. Any suggestions?

Dropping RVP and barton this week, 15.4 to spend on next weeks injured players. Thinking Malouda/Nasri and Zigic/beckford.
I would love some chelsea coverage but anyone worth bring in is to expensive or not guaranteed starter, anyone who watched todays game think malouda will start? Although I think nasri would be a good buy right now considering RVP Walcott and Fabs doubts. As for Zigic or beckford maybe a coin toss.

Last round wasn't good for me. So many players didn't play, but I still managed to keep my league position, and I'm even closer to the guy ahead of me now (4 points). So the mission is to pass him this week.

My team is:
Szczeny / Al Habsi
Coleman/Huth/Johnson/Elmohamdy/Samba*
Silva*/Nani/Barton*/Cahill/Adam*
RVP*/Vela/Berbatov

The ones with the * I'm not sure will play this week. I know that RVP is out for sure!!

I need forwards.
RVP is out.
Vela seems to only get 10 minutes each game. He's scored in the last but I can't play a player who doesn't start, when I have no other strikers.
Berbatov - Fergie clearly doesn't trust him

  Cahill's out for 3 weeks as well mate... you're team is in a bit of a mess, with Vela and Berbs not even getting starts. I'd say 7 of your front 8 are either defo out or big doubts.

I've only just seen the Cahill news... massive kick in the teeth, and one of the worst 4ph I've ever taken, especially when it was a toss up between him and Young. Why can I never stop myself bringing in doubtful players?

  Assuming Johnson and Zigic are who you are taking hits to bring in, it is very likely that the hits will work out since they have doubles. Especially so for Rafael->Johnson. Wingie->Zigic, you have to take into account the points Odem might score as well

      Do u want to spend points and do u have something in the bank. It is not so bad, don't worry. Defense is Ok for this GW and Zigic is in possible for RVP or Vela. In middle u could buy Nasri and Ferguson why not.

I'm surpised to get a green arrow with only Nani playing last night, i guess there must be a lot of Vidic owners!

Somehow my rival still got 54 having Vidic and DJ but she did put Frank in which was a quality move

Morning guys. Excuse my ignorance (1st year of fpl) but after reading the above posts why would a person play someone who won't play and rely on autosubs? Is it a tactic I have missed?

  It givas your opponents a false sense of security when glancing at your score thinking it is lower than what it really is, only for your players to come on and give you a much better score unexpectedly. It wont work on everyone, and it is a bit pointless, but some people like doing it.

  Calm down, this has happened in seasons past. Sometimes the system gets confused at the end of the DGW, it's just going to need an admin to click a button.

  I reckon it's a bit of a coin toss. Whichever one you don't go for will no doubt get a killer score. I'm thinking about getting Beckford in because of the price and because of Saha's likliness to get injured as always.

  In his defence, he's been a massive cog in the England wheel over the last few years, and has definitely earnt the support of the selectors. Problem is he can go around the park in one game, then just like Mitchell Johnson take 4-20 in the next... obviously if the former happens today, that'll be Jimmy out of the 1st XI for the tournament.
