Everton are hardly showing the form that Fantasy Managers wanted to see when eyeing up new purchases – but, by virtue of their defeat to Reading last night, we see the Toffees (and Birmingham) keep their bi-fixture spell which, as we reported, was in danger of postponement were they to draw. I can think of one person who’ll be happy with the result no matter what…

With the fixture list now confirmed, the Captain’s Poll for gameweek 29 has gone live on the frontpage. A full batch of Scout Notes on Everton’s match with Reading and the highly entertaining top of the table clash between Chelsea and Manchester United will follow.

    This is my team:
    My team is:
    Szczeny / Al Habsi
    Coleman/Huth/Johnson/Elmohamdy/Samba*
    Silva*/Nani/Barton*/Cahill*/Adam*
    RVP*/Vela/Berbatov

    Got only 5 players who are certain to start.

      Silva should make it, they will have been feeding him placenta all week to make sure he makes it in fact (not that that would actually work), they were sorely lacking in inspiration without the guy at the weekend.

      Cahill and Adam definitely out and Barton a doubt, you are clearly in a world of pain right now, Johnson is R.Johnson or Glen Johnson, R Johnson is a slight doubt I would of said too, Elmo is not nailed on either.

      To field 11 I would do: RVP OUT Zigic IN, Cahill OUT Lampard IN and Silva OUT Arteta IN for 8 points. You are getting at least 4 out of Zigic (who is "in form") and Arteta (things can only get better right?) and I think Lampy Mc Lamperton will build on his "performance" last night and grab another goal or two against Blackpool, Chelsea will be on the rise from now until the end of the season and you can stick with Arteta and Lampard until the end, Zigic can go for Carroll in a few weeks?

        I was looking at the team and couldn't even think where to make a start.

        The thing is, out of my 3 forwards - neither Berbs or Vela start for their team

        But I may just have to be happy with 1 point from either of them

    Do I????

    1. Keep the same team and save my transfer for next week.
    2. Berbatov & Walcott > Zigic & Arteta/Nasri (4pt hit)
    3. Berbatov, Meireles, Walcott > Zigic, Lampard & Osman (8pt hit)

    Hate these sorts of decisions.....

        8pts a lot for them to get back.
        I could hope for Berbatov to start and take out Roo to get Lamps in but Roo starting to score again. Mmmmmmm

      Roondog has really come through for me aswell as (C) 3 times in the last 6 weeks, no wonder I have gone from 141,000th to 12,000th in 5 weeks where I have gotten 25+ from my captains, it really is all about the captain, and you just couldn't get it wrong I suppose with RVP in such form and Rooney in relatively good fantasy form and doubles!

        suppose that makes it a little easier, Saha or Zigic it is then lol. edging towards Saha with the more home matches coming up, but B'ham beating Arsenal has to be a boost for them after Everton lose to Reading.

    Think I'm fairly set on doing
    RVP > Zigic
    Then its either Silva, VDV or A Young > Fat Frank.
    Any thoughts about which to do?
    Silva - good fixture this week.
    VDV - Alright fixture, possibly only play 60 mins.
    A Young - Worst fixture but best fixtures long term.

      VDV injury is worrying and Silva may still be suffering from his injury that kept him out of the Fulham game......
      I wanna say Silva, I think VDV has better fixtures and is worth the risk of only playing 60 mins

      Berbatov... I bought him and sold him 3 times this season this was the 4 time I bought him for this double and this assist is the most pts I ever got from him and EVERY time I sold him he scored 3, 5 and 5 for the last double.....honestly even though he didnt play much this double I'm over the moon with the one assist because its the best I've got from him...WORSE TRANSFER EVER

      Also the most unfortunate one was when Liverpool had their DGW, I had Gerrard as Capt. He scores then misses a pen then gets sent off in the Cup and misses the 2nd game of DGW.

    had to work for a bit, so to further a previous discussion...was going to bring in nasri this week, tonights match injury free pending, but have been advised about going arteta or a young instead. I guess Im worried about having no arsenal coverage. Got rid of fabs and rvp last week. With fabs not 100%, rvp and walcott out a while, wouldnt it be dangerous to NOT have nasri, or am i giving twinkle-toes too much credit?

      I would just do the 2 m8.
      Get the 2 DGW players in and Start with Young.
      You can always get Nasri in next week and save yourself 4pts.
      Is Nasri going to score 4 more points than Young to cover your transfer???

    Many of my player this week have fail to get decent point this with the exceptional of Nani. I was planning to change 5 player for GW29, who should i get rid of? Suggestion anyone?
