This season’s Big Numbers articles for members will follow on from the weekend’s action as always, with new contributor, “In Tommy We Trust”, taking up the editorial reins. Tommy takes we take a look at the data gathered from the weekend’s action in the members’ area as both Merseyside clubs register impressive attacking statistics, while casting an analytical eye over a handful of forwards from Saturday and Sunday’s matches.
I've been digesting various partisan premier league podcasts all day while shoveling sand in my front yard... the Man City one was interesting in so far that those guys seemed confident that Dzeko would be like a new player under Pellegrini, essential to the team, top scorer etc. (Not in my team at the moment though. )
Open ControlsUgh. Was really hoping we'd find out who was first choice between Taylor and Yanga-Mbiwa.
Open ControlsDzeko wont play, Blah, blah, blah.
Open ControlsNext week*

SKY SOURCES: Tottenham move ahead of Liverpool in race to sign Brazilian forward Willian.
How does this work? Is it an ACTUAL race? If so who is racing? I'd like to see AVB v Rodgers or Lennon v Sterling.Open ControlsIts a foot race however ever gets to the Willian's club first gets him
Open ControlsI'd put Jordan Ibe against Any Spurs player in a race.
Open ControlsWho is Jordan Ibe? And where can I catch hit hype-train?
It appears to be running awayOpen ControlsYou'll know who he is by the end of the season.
Open Controls
Looking to get Silva in to my team. Which out of the following would you guys swap him for?
A. Paulinho
B. Hazard
C. CoutinhoOpen ControlsYou didn't even need hindsight to tell you that Paulinho was a terrible decision... get rid.
Open Controls
Head2head prediction:
Me - 48 points with Silva, Lukaku and Hazard (c) to play.
Opponent - 40 points with A.Cole and Mata (c) to play.
I should be confident, but I'm not!Open Controlswhy not. You WILL win
Open Controls
Dummett was supposed to have had a chance to start in place of Santon and he's not even on fpl
Open ControlsYaya toure has scored against Newcastle in the last 3 league games they have played each other.
toure anytime gs 😎Open ControlsFair punt, I miss having Yaya in my team. The new baps system may be right up his strasse
Open ControlsI'm not gonna actually do it! Just saying 😀
Not gutsee enough for that kinda bet!Open Controls
I hope not so many neutrals pick yaya
Open Controlsmeh........
Open Controls
ya think? Its really tempting.........info didn't come from my head btw, ca't take the glory!
Open Controls
Aguero definitely going to miss out next week
Negredo owners should sticlOpen ControlsBased on?
Open ControlsI like how you say it as if it's fact 😉
Open ControlsNegredo and Dzeko will be rotated.. Aguero is King
Open ControlsBased on the fact that he's played no pre season
won't start 2 games in 6 daysOpen Controlsstarting this game makes him more likely to play the next one IMO if he finishes it without issues. have you ever done any sports?
Open ControlsHow long till Bent is fit enough to start ?
Open Controls
I am looking for a second cheap mid (max 5.5m) to rotate with Kim (cardiff) the next few games. I am thinking of Schneiderlin (Sot). Is he a nailed on ok option as a cheap mid you think? Is he better than Hoolahan (Nor) or Wanayama (Sot). They must both be more nailed on than Barkley the Bandwaggon (Eve), aren´t they?
Open ControlsMy guy Kacaniklic is going to tear Arsenal to shreds. He was just giving everyone else a head start the other day by not playing.
Open ControlsBarkley was superb on Saturday, Martinez will surely give him a run of games. Hoolahan was average at best, and is far from nailed-on for a first team place.
Open ControlsMaybe I should just go for Barkley. 1 million cheaper too. Should do it today to beat the price rise though...
Open Controls
Two cheap ones may be the way to go. Would it matter too much if you let the Barkley bus roll a bit. Some tricky fixtures soon, I think.
Open ControlsI am a bit stressed about the pricerise. Even if it is just 0.1m it often means the next change will be 0.1 short... 🙁
Open Controls
Aguero huge differentil gw2 onwards good captain choice for non rvp owners too
Open ControlsI am not too impressed by the arguments that Barkley won't play. I believe that Martinez may give him a go. 🙂
Open ControlsSame, still not falling for him though!
Open ControlsI've got 'im. 😀
Open Controls
+1
Open ControlsDue to all those arguments I have transferred him out (not really). For the price there are few options out there, at least that will score more than 1/2/3pts
Open Controls😀
Open Controls
stick with him he will play
Open ControlsGot to say, I agree.
Better suited to the system than Gibson, and a hell of a lot better....
Why should he be dropped to make way, just because of his age??
Doesn't make sense to me.Open Controlsdon't listen to what this man say.. led half the forum here astray saying Collins won't start and Adrian is the 1st choice Gk.. doesn't even know his own club properly
Open Controls
Evening gents...I was curious to find out what player people went for as their 5th midfielder (the cheapie)? Also...
I understand Barkley (mid) and Whittaker (def) are obvious rotation risks at this stage but are there any doubts felt amongst the crew that perhaps one or both could well keep their place(s)? Putting feelers out there is all...
Thanks..Open ControlsI've got both Cabral and Pozeulo 🙁 (gulp)
Open ControlsI have Kim (car), but planning to swap Haz to Schneiderlin and rotate the two (to make up funds for RvP)
Open ControlsWhittaker will soon be competing with Club Captain Martin for the right-back slot. He might get a run of games but Hughton will likely need little excuse to re-instate Martin to his usual position. Many NCFC supporters would argue that Martin looks better as a centre-half than a full-back.
Open ControlsWent for Kacaniklic (5.0)
Open Controls
Pardew is a good manager and newcastle have some good players but I can't help but think they are going to get hammered tonight. Poor preseaon and now Cabaye off to Arsenal after your own sporting director calls you a kebab has got to be a massive downer for the team. I reckon we'll see Barfa running around ineffectually and Cisse looking uninterested while MC run riot.
Open Controls1-1 would suit me. Milner (is he playing?) and Krul 😉
Open ControlsI could see 5-0 or something
Open Controls
Pardew is not a good manager. Newcastle have some very good players yet his plan A is lump the ball up to Cissé. Shocking.
Open ControlsWell he's OK, or at least has a very good scout in Graham Carr.
Open Controls
I am sorry - but I beg to differ. Alain Depardieu is NOT a good manager, as any Charlton fan will tell you, for free ...
Open ControlsAll right, 6-0 then.
Open Controls
Already feels like an essential front 3 for those who don't own RVP:
Benteke, Soldado, Sturridge
1st reserve: BonyOpen Controls+1
Open ControlsWell, yes, but I think this is the 3 to have for goal threat and naildonness.
Open Controls
Will be essential to have either Dzeko/Aguero from now on IMO
Open ControlsEssential full stop. RVP owners will struggle to find 3 striker slots.
Open Controls
I also think that I may move Klose to having three Spurs players ... 😉
Open ControlsThat's Lahm 😉
Open ControlsFriends, Romans, Countrymen - Lennon me your ears ...
Open ControlsGiroud Gotze Adam Chico
Open Controls
Ooooh 'ave a Dzeko at all the puns.
Open Controls
@MJ - Soldado is clearly the best player if you are keen for a share of Tottenham's attacking spoils. He should be involved in most goals that Spurs score.
That said, Spurs have strengthened much more defensively (CDMs) this year, and I expect them to rack up more clean sheets this year round. With an attacking midfielder definitely expected to be signed by Spurs, it's only then that we will actually start scoring plenty of goals. Not before.
Doubt I'd help much anyways.Open ControlsAre lukaku owners keeping or selling?......
Open Controls01 Hart
04 Kompany
05 Zabaleta
06 Lescott
22 Clichy
15 Navas

16 Aguero
30 Pantilimon
13 Kolarov
07 Milner
08 Nasri
14 Garcia
17 Rodwell
09 NegredoOpen ControlsRichards to Arsenal perhaps?
Open ControlsYes!!! Rodwell is on the bench
Open ControlsNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Open ControlsNegredooooooooooooooooooooooooo?
Open Controls
I hope so
Open ControlsWait, you benched him??
Open Controls
Was there any indication on Friday to suggest Cabaye was injured/ill/unfit ?
Otherwise, the move to Arsenal looks dead cert...Open ControlsExpect they will say he is injured but I wouldn't believe it. He was reportedly really angry at being called kebab by that idiot Kinnear.

BINGO!Open Controlsanyone know how many players (total) are in the fantasyfootballscout.co.uk "sub" league?
Open ControlsIf Fantasy God does actually exist, perhaps he'll show me a little compassion after my weekend from Hell. 0-1 Newcastle (Hart og) and a four timer for Lukaku (c) on Wednesday will help me see the light.
Open Controlsjovetic is not in kun's class
i think the main rotation will centre on dzeko and negredoOpen ControlsLooking forward to this game, more so to have a look at Barfa/Cisse/Sissokho.
Great fixtures in the next threeOpen ControlsAnyone actually keeping Lukaku?
If not, are you making your move before his inevitable price fall?Open ControlsMe. No. Sorry.
