He’s well travelled. He’s multi-lingual. He’s just 19 points behind me. Despite my best start to a Fantasy Football season in living memory, Granville is right on my tail. In this latest episode of the ScoutCast, Granville takes delight in taunting me by wrapping his tongue around every “Pochettino” with ease, leaving me to struggle like Paul Merson with a mouth ulcer.

In between the mispronunciations, myself and the “cosmopolitan Manc” get heated about Robin Van Persie, rinse through the Gameweek 1 bandwagons, preview the weekend’s action and welcome the flying start made by this season’s ScoutCast team. It’s breathless stuff, squeezed into a low fat 40 minutes.

    For people looking at replacing there attacking options I definitely suggest taking a look at this article about the 'creative efficiency' of teams in the prem last year: http://www.eplindex.com/37500/rate-of-attack-creative-efficiency-race-goals-model.html

    Interesting to see Aston Villa were up there with the top 4 when it came to finishing clear cut chances, and an impressive conversion on 'non clear cut chances' Plenty of justification there for regular captaincy of Benteke there.

    Furthermore, Liverpool were shown to be poor at converting 'non clear cut chances', showing the poor conversion rate against Stoke wasn't just a one off.

    Also, why Norwich had some of the fewest shots on goal, a high percentage of those were clear cut chances. Despite this, they were poor at putting these clear chances away. With RVW set to increase Norwich's sharpness, Snodgrass could be set for a further upturn of points when he gets into the squad.

    Do people agree with me here? If you read the article, what else have you drawn from it?

      yeahhh i guess it's okay. not impressed by rotation in front 2(you know who that is), but RVP is gonna make it all up for you so no worries.

    Rarely take hits and have never taken -8 but will this week I think. Hazard out and Silva in will be the second hit. Hazard will drop in price and Silva will gain. Those Man C. fixtures are just too good to pass up. Well spent 4 pts imo. Here's hoping anyway.

    One question. Is it safe to assume that Silva will not rise in price tonight. I know it's a dodgy call with fiso down but looks safe enough, right?

      Hazard will not drop any time soon, he has 17% of the transfers needed to fall. Thats not to say I havent considered the same transfer.

    Just listened to the podcast

    Am struggling to understand Marks transfer this week
    He used his transfer to bring in Shaw , already has Clyne so doubling up. That wouldnt be so bad except didnt remove a double gameweek player so still has three of those , and has no Man c or Arsenal players.

    May get away with it , but it seems very risky

          My guess is that he'll do another transfer for a -4 on Friday/ Sat and get rid of one of his DGWers.
          He's had a 100+ GW so can afford -4.
          Plus he often did late transfers last season which he hadn't mentioned on the podcast

          If he had used his transfer to remove a double gameweek player then the Anelka news wouldnt of had such an impact on his team.
          Just highlights that the Shaw move was a mistake , especially so early in the gameweek

      Dzeko and Nolan will bag the points. When Dzeko starts to be rotated switch to Lambert to shake things up to a Bony-Snodgrass combo or simillar for your money. Not great value in the 5.5 bracket at the mo, but someone might emerge.

          I think so too. I already had Dzeko but I took a hit and brought in Aguero. Double City I know, but it's Cardiff and Hull and I wanted Aguero with a view to getting in RVP sometime soon. And I had to get rid of the dead weight too. Made sense to me. Dzeko to Bony for me as soon as he starts getting rotated.

          Could be brilliant. Could be disastrous.

        i have a united friend who has this rule to never own any liverpool, man city players and to bench any opponents.

        i have finished above him by a few hundred points every single single, despite him taking it very seriously.

        the difference is emotional choices he makes 😀 by not picking someone, doesnt mean they are not going to score.. Terry has surely got to be picked ahead of chester.

            Not sure, but he doesn't have the yellow badge of uncertainty on FPL anymore. So unless someone knows something I don't, I expect him to play some part this weekend with normal service resuming in GW3.
