This season we are running leagues across the Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Sky Sports and Sun Dream Team games as well as a link up with PlayON. In our first Fantasy Football Scout league round up, we profile those with plenty to cheer about and take a look at our own contributors and moderators league.

Fantasy Premier League

With a momentous score of 131 Stumanchu tops the Fantasy Football Scout FPL league and lies seventh overall. His decision to captain Christian Benteke proved crucial to his mammoth Gameweek, which included five other double digit players, such as Frank Lampard and Seamus Coleman. Stumanchu is just three points off the highest point score of the week, achieved by three managers who share joint first overall. Second place in the Fantasy Football Scout FPL league goes jointly to MS and Jennifer Lenharth, who both have a score of 122. Thanks to their exploits the Fantasy Football Scout league currently tops FPL’s league of leagues. The code to join our FPL league is 1580-1106.

Topping our FPL FFS Members league is Ian Randolph, who, like Stumanchu, also captained Benteke. He achieved 114 points in the first Gameweek  and is closely followed by Tom Dennerly, Kevin Folks, Mat Martin, Sam Gillespie and Ivan Heneghan, who are all on 113 points and share second place.

With the introduction of HomeCrowd and a team of moderators our newly named Contributors and Moderators league in the FPL game is now 20-strong and tougher than ever. Mark is bossing the new league in first place from under his Robin Van Persie duvet cover, with a score of 103 points in Gameweek 1. Last year’s contributors league victor Andy is excelling again. His RVP-less team is in second with a score of 94, while Torres Magic is flying the flag for our moderator team, with a score of 88 points earning him a third place ranking.

Sky Sports Fantasy Football

Leanne Dean tops our Sky Sports Fantasy Football league and is in 12th position overall with an eye popping score of  228. A closer look at her team reveals that it comes at a cost. With eight Chelsea and three Aston Villa players she is looking at making 11 substitutions in Gameweek 3 as all have a blank due to Chelsea’s Supercup commitments. In second place, with a score of 204 is Josie O’Neil, while Mary Humberstone is in third.

Once again, Fantasy Football Scout’s league also tops the Sky Sports game’s league of leagues – the winner of our Sky Sports league wins £1,000. To join, visit Sky Sports Fantasy Football and key in League Name: FFScout, League Code: 8000112.

The Sun Dream Team

There is also £1,000 prize for the winner of our Sun Dream Team league which, after one week, is topped by Charles Mouzon, who has 122 points thanks largely to 21 pt hero Roberto Soldado, who scored a brace while on Europa league action for Tottenham on Thursday. Charles is clearly a manager to watch, having briefly topped the FPL game last season. Nigel Dodds sits in second on 121 points after picking his entire defence from Tottenham. Third place goes to btrenden Sweeney, who has 118 points.

The Fantasy Football Scout League is currently sixth in the Sun’s league of leagues; a great start for our community across the games.  To join visit  The Sun Dream Team, league name: Fantasy Football Scout, password: ReWOZhn1T1 and PIN: 8061654.

The PlayON £2 Game

The Fantasy Football Scout PlayON £2 Game proved lucrative for Richard Matthews who scooped £243 and first place thanks largely to his selection of Van Persie, Joe Cole and David Silva. Second placed Nick Patrick won £162 with Van Persie and Benteke proving to be his star men. Third placed Matty Bellism, whose players included Roberto Soldado, won £96.39.

Good lord. I am already having major transfer dilemmas and it's only GW2.

I think an 8 point hit might be called for. My reasoning is as follows:

I have three Chelsea, one Villa and Anelka, who are all I think certain to miss out next week, plus I have Brayford and Snodgrass who might do. Therefore I have to do bare minimum 2 transfers even if Brayford and Snodgrass do play next week, and I'd probably take a 4 pointer to get cover anyway.

On top of that I have Anelka and probably Brayford out this week, and 3 Chelsea vs Man U. So I'm already down to the bare bones if Snodgrass doesn't feature. Not to mention the threat of Mourinrhotation.

I think that Brayford deserves patience, and there's not much reason to get rid of Luna, when he's a good long-term value defender pick. If I used one transfer to get rid of Anelka this week, I'd only have 5.5m for a replacement, and I'd still have three Chelsea vs Man U...

If I did a midfield transfer, I'd have to hold on to Anelka, which I wouldn't be too happy about, and I would still need to take a hit next week.

So I reckon a 4 point hit this week to get rid of Anelka and freshen up my midfield is completely justified.

Then it's just whether it's worth a hit to get someone else in for one of my remaining Chelsea boys what with the threat of Old Trafford, the bench and blank gw3 lurking round the corner...

I think the hits are justified for you as long as you get medium- long term replacements for Anelka and whichever Chelsea player you get rid of.

What Jonty said. The 2 goals from Norwich disguised a really flat performance that lacked creativity. Match fitness shouldnt be an issue for Snodgrass either.

Being realistic. Their 30 goal a season man, Murray, isn't back until later this year at the earliest and the replacements are appalling or very old. Kevin Philips really is their best striker and I expect him to get about five goals over the season from his cameos. I can't see any of the others matching that. Murray may get more when he's back.

I like the Figueroa punt, offers more than Chester going forward so nice if you can afford him. Zab I'm less sure about - will Richards take gametime from him? Nastasic looks safer to me, longterm. Lukaku - as you are doubtless aware - is a big punt. Could go either way! Nice team though.

Guys, on the Lukaku situatuion... Already have lambert and soldado

    A get DZEKO

Very risky. Could be benched in the game against Hull. Short term option but potenially explosive. Might have to WC after gw3 to clean up the mess

    B ivan & luk => coleman & studge (-4)

More long term option, however that would give me 3 pool and 2 everton (already have migs, coutinho and mirallas). In GW3 Liverpool play MU and the priority will be probably hazard to silva...

    Thanks for your help

Rest of team looks solid. Ben Arfa over MIrrallas maybe.

Anyone fancy a shot at the best formation/players for my New Kids on the Block team. Only promoted& transferred players.

Thinking Soldado Osvaldo & Carroll when fit up front.

Mid is a bit sparse in fairness. Navas/Gia/Chadli?

Rat 2nd choice at the mo. Theres better options than Navas & Paulinho. 3-4-3 is usually the most effective formation. Your strikers will get points.

After a fairly decent GW1 (top 500,000), I'm still in a bit of crisis. Have A. Cole, Hazard and Lukaku ahead of next weeks blank, have Anelka, no RVP, no Benteke. Also have Amorebieta from Fulham just to make it more painful. Had planned on selling Cole or Lukaku this week but now have to sell Anelka. What do ye reckon take the 4 point hit? Wildcard next week?

agreed... this team needs an overhaul.

a big part of the first half of the season is keeping up with the pack, which means owning many of the popular players (I know some may not like that advice, but its the right strategy)

Check out the ownership percentages, the other RMT's on here, and the scoutpicks later today and it should give you a good sense of who to focus on.

"There was the student whose friends staged an intervention, holding him down and smashing the disk in front of him, and then the chap, another journalist, whose wife found him sat with his head in his hands in the kitchen late one night. 'What's wrong?' she said. 'I've been sacked,' he mumbled. His wife burst into tears. She was pregnant, they'd just taken out a mortgage, she was terrified for their future. It took him several minutes to clarify that he'd only been sacked on a computer game, not in real life."
