Alex Ferguson has this morning offered us more on Nani’s leg injury and stated that, although he is unsure of when the winger will return, he is hopeful that he will be back in contention following the international break.

β€œWe’ve managed to stitch it. Now we have to guard against infection. The swelling has gone down, which is good news. To give a date is difficult. Whether he’s fit to face Bolton is difficult to say, but we have a two-week international break and we’d hope he’ll be ready to return after that.”

Nani would therefore seem set to be in the frame to return against West Ham on April 2 – in gameweek 31. Judging by Ferguson’s statement, he could even be in with a chance of figuring in next weekend’s clash with Bolton. That game is of course dependent on positive result in United’s FA Cup tie with Arsenal this weekend. Should that end in a draw, the replay would postpone the Bolton clash and mean that the West Ham fixture in gameweek 31 will be United’s next league outing. Nani could therefore miss just one Premier League fixture.

Over56,000 managers in the Fantasy Premier League game have transferred out Nani from their squads so far this gameweek.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Sorry, end of last thread syndrome, grateful for some ideas with my team, thinking Zigic needs to go certainly but would like to get in lamps really.

    Begovic (Foster)
Huth, Djourou, Coleman (Kolarov, R Johnson)
    Nasri, VdV, Young, Barton (Nani)
    Tevez, Saha Zigic

    Cheers in advance

If it wasn't for the international week, he'd be missing a lot of games. It's just a fluke of the fixture list, still means he's out for the best part of a month which is a fair old injury.

have szczesny and myhill for keepers - boooo

already did my free transfer ( i know, i know). As a replacement, Im looking at Gomes. have 6.4 to spend. The most important factor in my choice is best shot at a cleanie this GW to make up for the hit as I have a very tight matchup in Fantasy Cup. Is gomes the choice or do any of you have another suggestion?

After the defensive shift they put in on Wednesday it would be harsh to say they've not got what it takes.

They've looked a hell of a lot better since Dawson came back, in fact i reckon i'm going with Dawson this week.

you could argue that after the defensive shift they put in it is unlikely that they will get a cleanie next week? Add to this the fact that the premiership is a very different beast.

West Ham are coming into some form too especially in attacking terms.

apologies i thought we were talking about Dawson.

As for keepers I am really not sure

I am looking at Friedel, Hennesssey, Almunia, Foster, HOward, or even Cech!

You could argue that, i don't know where the justification is for it though?

Team does well one week, so surely they won't do well the week after? naaaah

And yeah the premiership is a different beast but a good defensive display is a good defensive display. Milan battered them on wednesday and they stood up to it really well.

yup, can think of worse moves.

Of course there is always a risk but that's a given when you're talking about clean sheets.

Like i say i'm strongly weighing up Dawson in so have faith they're as good an option as anyone and they have a nice run of fixtures coming up

price is certainly right, dont know if i fancy a cleanie vs pool though.
I think i have to go with friedel, probably best chance at a cleanie vs wolves whove only scored 10 road goals this season, but i already have walker in the back
or Gomes, where Im not doubling up and his next 5 GWS are quite nice.

Shakib should have been given that lbw against Trott too. Hawkeye showed that the ball was cannoning into off stump, yet they still didn't give it. What is the point?!

I think I'm going to get rid of Nani for Lampard. I already have Rooney so that should be enough Man utd coverage. Is anyone considering Bale? I'm working towards the following front line : -

    VDV / Adam / Lampard / Barton / Bale
Tevez / Rooney / Van Persie

Nice....not sure on VDV and Bale together. Replace Bale with Nani imo, then Rooney to Suarez. πŸ˜‰

I really hope that sleeping in, and so failing to captain Shakib or to bring in Swann, isn't going to hurt me....

πŸ™‚ Not that I want to start a rumour that we're sleeping together, young James, but same here. Stupidly made Gayle skipper, then slept past the deadline to give the armband to Swann or Trott.

There's a chance that I got it down in time, I woke up at 8:28 then scampered straight out of bed onto my computer. Then it asked me for my bloody login details, which I got wrong at the first attempt , and by the time I'd changed captain they'd already bowled the first ball.

Also, what's up with Gayle? Why isn't he playing? Glad that I didn't use a transfer to get him in and then captain him....

Why are everyone jumping on the Carrol/Suarez b-wagon? Surely there are better options out there for the last 8 or so gameweeks?

I'd definitely back Carroll to outscore Wellbeck til the end of the season. However, I do like Sunderland's fixtures from GW32 so Gyan or Wellbeck are on my radar. Depends if they miss a game in GW32 (I get forgetful as to the ins and outs of all these fixtures).

Agreed. Given his consistency in the first part of the season it's not the fact that he is with Liverpool or their fixtures that make me want him in (though they have looked alot better as of late).

It's big Andy - tired of switching that striker spot between different players that all seem to dissapoint!

I agree, welbeck is a way better option.Lpool fixture are very tough while sland has it much better,I went for welbeck.Carroll is a very good ff player but its uncertain if he will adapt to lpool or even start scoring soon, and those fixture are just rubbing salt in the wound
