Alex Ferguson has this morning offered us more on Naniโ€™s leg injury and stated that, although he is unsure of when the winger will return, he is hopeful that he will be back in contention following the international break.

โ€œWe’ve managed to stitch it. Now we have to guard against infection. The swelling has gone down, which is good news. To give a date is difficult. Whether he’s fit to face Bolton is difficult to say, but we have a two-week international break and we’d hope he’ll be ready to return after that.โ€

Nani would therefore seem set to be in the frame to return against West Ham on April 2 โ€“ in gameweek 31. Judging by Fergusonโ€™s statement, he could even be in with a chance of figuring in next weekendโ€™s clash with Bolton. That game is of course dependent on positive result in Unitedโ€™s FA Cup tie with Arsenal this weekend. Should that end in a draw, the replay would postpone the Bolton clash and mean that the West Ham fixture in gameweek 31 will be Unitedโ€™s next league outing. Nani could therefore miss just one Premier League fixture.

Over56,000 managers in the Fantasy Premier League game have transferred out Nani from their squads so far this gameweek.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Quick question...
    If Spurs win the champions league, and finish outside the top 4, they will qualify for the champions league next year as champions wont they? Just hoping to settle an argument!

      Nope, they changed the rules after Liverpool did the same thing in 2005. Max of 4 teams per country, and the PL decided that it's just the top 4.

          then it has to be btw downing or vdv...i will prefer vdv just because he is on pens and west ham don't play well away from home but downing has been consistent and getting an assist or a goal every game so he is not a bad choice for this week against wolves...i'm confused ๐Ÿ˜•

    Hello

    Can anyone give me at least little info on those price rises and fall cos I just can't figure it out. I am starting to think that whole thing is against me...

    Always when I choose to keep injured player, he's price will at some point drop like a stone (VDV). And even more annoyingly (?) mini-league leader sold vdv and soon he will be ready to buy him back at only 0.1 loss.

    And when I choose to sell player, he's price doesn't drop ever!! Even if the guy was playing against barca, he still remains flagged and protected??? (RVP)

    Whole world is against my mini-league win.....sniiff....

        Thanks, but that's not news even for me ๐Ÿ™‚
        Doesn't explain why RVP's protection goes on and on and on and on....
        I think he's injury situation is pretty much same with VDV, VDV price going down every week, Rvp not.

    Zdravstvujtye rebyata! I'm looking to replace Rafael, Arteta and possibly Berbatov over the next few weeks to get some Chelsea and Villa representation. Which option would be better:

    a) Luiz, Downing, and keep Berbatov
    b) Walker, Lampard, Carroll (Ba/Welbeck)?

      i've had a shocker. at 1am last night/this morning i bought in roach and took the captaincy off benn. i sacrificed zaheer khan for the south africa india game and a player for the zimbabwe v kenya game at the end of the group stages. a ridiculously greedy decision that has massively back-fired

        Wow, that is a shocker. Don't like sacrificing players like that, would rather just gamble and go with 1 player in each match.

        Got 4 players for tomorrow's game, difficult to pick a captain now!

        Will have 11 transfers for the last 12 matches after this weekend's games.

    I'm not going to do anything til nearer the deadline, but what are people's thoughts on Tevez to RvP (assuming the Utd-Arsenal FA Cup tie isn't a draw)?

    I'm doing Odem to Rooney anyway, so it would be for a 4 point hit, but I'll need to take a couple of hits anyway to get the team I want for GW32/33, so it doesn't really matter when I take them.

      Depending on the ars/ManU result(I hope it's a draw...) i'm going to take a massive gamble over the next 3 gameweek and dump berbartov and prob nani as well. My mini league leader is a ManU supporter and won't drop roonpig & nani.

      Im hoping i can replace my ManU players with alternatives that will outscore them.

    Dulux is still a little tacky, probably be about another 3 hours before it's completely dry.

    Crown seems to have a thumb-print in it. It is however a lovely eggshell blue. Looks to be drying quite quickly, probably because there's a draught going across this side of the room.

    Hm. Quite a lot of changes I'd like to my team. I'm 86 points behind the leader of my league. Who is first priority to ship out?

    Foster, Al Habsi
    Huth, Kolarov, Coleman, Rafael, Djourou
    Nani, Nasri, Van der Vaart, Meireles, Downing
    Tevez, Berbatov, Zigic.

    I'd say Rafael and Zigic, but I'm not sure.

    What does everyone think of this time for the run in (given the DGW potential in GW33)

    Foster
    Djorou Hutton Luiz R.Johnson (another)
    DVD Lamps Fab Nani(if fit) OHara(or Adam)
    Best Zigic(if fit) Torres

    Looking for a bit of differential from the norm to chase a couple of people in a mini league. And looking for a big score in GW33.

        I have Coleman and was going to ship, am going to ship Kolarov and Huth instead, at least he will get games in the next 3-4 in Arteta's absence, and with that front 8 I will be benching him more often than not, which means he will score really well when I do!

        Ya, with Arteta out, he should be back in there, despite being pants.

    Sorted my side out for the run-in (been a slow day today). It requires six changes but I think it looks pretty bloody tasty from GW32 onwards. It's obviously subject to change so I'm just after initial impressions. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Howard / Mignolet
    Bramble (yes I know), Coleman, Walker, Simpson, Ridgewell
    Lampard, Young, Nani, Nasri, VDV
    RVP, Bent, Gyan

    Now the main thing I would probably change is swapping Ridgewell for Luiz, with one of the midfielders downgraded to O'Hara. I'll have a look on how to do that closer to the time.

    I really like the Everton / Sunderland rotation, with Sczezzers being crocked it could be a good move.

          I can certainly see the attraction, but I just feel that Lampard is too good a captain to do without, especially as he is not as massively owned as usual.
          You have three big hitters up front though so you can get around that.

          Teams like wolves/west ham etc will hopefully playing above their ability to try and stay up. Should be some decent cheap midfielders there.

      Hmm I disagree - I'm thinking of selling for RVP this week, then getting back in Week 34.

      Makes perfect sense looking at the fixtures. Tev only has one favourable fixture in 4 games. RVP has 3 out of 5.

        I agree with Turbodog. Big Q for me is will Berbatov play this coming GW. I suppose no guarantee he will.

        I have the funds to sell either one of tevez/saha/berba and buy rvp so i just need to think about it carefully. I would like to have tevez for the sunderland game so i might let saha go this week although he has a home game. without cahill & arteta i think he will be even more useless than usual.

    What you guys think, which one makes room for rvp, tevez or torres?

    Todays (changing every day..) plan could be:
    30: torres => rvp
    31: -
    32: silva + tevez => lamp + gyan
    33: rooney => torres/drogba/anelka

    plan before torres got nothing from blackpool game and rvp was injured... was:
    30: kelly => walker or something else not definetely necessary
    31: -
    32: silva + tevez => lamp + gyan
    33: rooney => rvp
