The draw for the second round of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup III, sponsored by Paddy Power, has been made and the 128 fixtures can be viewed right here. As you’ll see, the draw has thrown out some interesting match-ups…

There are plenty of candidates for the glamour tie of the round, such as Anorak Vs. Dirty_Harry, jms Vs. gooner dave and Keith Vs. Voronin is gone… to name a few. In a big tie for the second round in a row is greghammer95 who has been drawn against hello 911 it’s quagmire….

Round one top-scorer beeduybe may feel he doesn’t need a repeat performance to get to the last 128, with his round two opponent DundalkKid ranked much lower than him.

I’ve decided to give myself a bit of a challenge this week, so there’s no four point head start this time round. Not only that, but I’ve gone one further and handed myself a top 1000 opponent in JohnSteed01.

As for my colleagues, top 4k Granville has a tough draw against top 3k wolves_simmo, and Pure Olivia also has a higher ranked opponent in Ty_Durden67.

Moving on to our former champions, and the tough draws keep coming. FFS Cup II winner Jonty faces 368th in the world And_der_roo, and FFS Cup I champ donnellyc is a huge underdog in his tie against ham5ter.

The two Fantasy Managers handed a second bite of the cup apple haven’t faired any better it seems. TorresMagic takes on mobbonkhouse who, for the first time this season, moved into the top 1000 and eclipsed our Aussie friend in the overall rankings. As for Roger C, for who a red arrow didn’t see him drop out of the top 1000, he faces bill badger, a Fantasy Manager on a good run and with two free transfers in hand.

All fixtures are to be played during Gameweek 9. As always, a free £25 bet courtesy of Paddy Power awaits the top-scoring Fantasy Manager of the second round. Good luck to everyone involved, and I’ll bring you the results on Tuesday.

Who was Ferguson talking about when he said one of his players didnt think Rooney and Ronaldo would become great players? Van Nistelrooy?

Because he was still playing at the time, and carried on playing into a time when Ronaldo was the best player in the league.

If Solskjaer had said that, he wouldn't be there any more (he's reserve team manager btw).

But yeah, it was Horsey-face or Keano.

No one else would have dared say that to Fergie.

Jones, Konchescky and er, that's it.

      K. Toure is definitely out, Alex and Gohouri highly doubtful as neither have trained.

Might break the cardinal rule of taking a 4-point for a defender to use this week to tidy up my defence.

    1) Cashley in this wknd, it means swapping Malouda for Fabregas
    the following wknd

    2) Coleman in this wknd (no chelsea defenders) and can afford
    fabregas the following wknd

    What would you go for?

Already asked this earlier on today but just wanted to get a bit more feedback, so sorry and all that.

Just wondering what the collective knowledge of FFS would consider the best selection: Fabs & Carroll /or\ Adam & Tevez.

Learning slightly towards the Tevez combination at the moment as I only have one strong forward in Drogba and I think that hurt me slightly last week with him being out. Also my Midfield is slightly too strong in comparison.

I have Fabs and Carroll so no brainer for me. I also have strong mf (N'Zog for Barton this week) and Drog +2 upfront intending to play 5 mf with Drog +1 most weeks. Time will tell if this is the ay to go, but I like having 5 really strong mfs.

YOu're pretty much picking VDV or Malouda instead of getting Teves.

I have Teves, but I can certainly understand your reasoning. Hard to believe you'll be too dissapointed by that midfield. Throwing in Cashley makes it even better.

Bosingwa 5.6M and Alex very doubtful to play and 6.4M (or 6.2M if you bought him at 6M) - seems like a good time to make the switch.

Imagine a Bosingwa assist and clean sheet vs Wolves for a 9-10 pt outing while Alex picks up 0 on the bench...

    A) bale to nzog this week then caroll to chamakh next week (2 home games)
    B) bale to nzog this week, and malouda to fabs next week
    C) make no more transfers this week then bale to nasri next week

I might play Shawcross, as he is due a goal and can see him scoring one from a corner. Clean sheet would be a massive ask. Then again, I'm undecided as to if I should get Coleman this week, cos I doubt he'd get a cleany against Tottenham, but I'd like to get in before the price rise.

Evening lads, need a bit of advice here:

    I was gonna do:
    GW9: A Jonhson > Adam
    GW10: Konchesky > Coleman & Bale > Fabregas (4pt hit)

However, with Colman goin up tonight I will be .1m sort of doing that and unfortunatly Adam Johnson doesn't look likely to rise before the end of this game week.

Now, I could take the 4 point hit this week i.e.
    GW9: Konchesky > Coleman & A Johnson > Adam
    GW10: Bale > Fabregas

But then I wouldn't have Konchesky for this week and would have to play Shawcross, P Jones or Coleman - all unlikely to keep cleanies.

    Would should I do?

    Hi all. I'm looking for a gut feeling from you all on this ; Is the "2 cheapy forwards" strategy a good option? The reason I ask is, like most people I'm weighing up loads of different ways of getting Fabs in for GW10 and I don't want to lose Cashley or Malouda or Drogs. So for 1 x 4 point hit in GW10 I would have ;
    Foster/Hahnn
    ACole/Elmuhmm/Coleman/Enrique/Jones
    Fabs/VDV/Nani/Malouda/Davies
    Drogba/Carroll/Varney

    Does that look good? Thanks

Right chaps need some help. What do you think about doing Hart - Robinson in a few weeks time so i can upgrade Ferguson to bale. It will leave me with:

    Robinson Al-Habsi
    Dann El-Becks Faye Perch Jara
    Malouda Nani Cesc Bale N'Zogbia
    DJ Cambell Tevez Drogba

Weak defence but solid mid and front line.
