Uncertainty remains over the extent of Robin Van Persie’s injury following last night’s substitution in Holland’s Euro 2012 Qualifier with Hungary.

The Arsenal striker was left in apparent agony following a challenge by Hungarian defender Vilmos Vanczak late on in the second-half of last night’s 5-3 win. Van Persie was seen limping around the pitch and he failed to appear for the second-half.

The extent of the knock is still unknown – all we have to go on right now is a quote from Dutch coach Bert van Marwijk who has done all he can to calm concerns in the Arsenal camp.

“It did not seem like a serious injury…It was painful though. He got a knock just above his knee. I told him I hope he will be fit this weekend.”

Van Persie has of course only just returned from a knee injury sustained in the Carling Cup defeat to Birmingham in February. The Dutchman made a return 10 days later against Barcelona, but there will be real concerns that this latest setback may keep him sidelined for a similar period, if not longer.

The striker is now set to return to the Emriates for a full assessment of his condition ahead of the clash with Blackburn at the weekend. Arsene Wenger would normally offer an update on his squad on Thursday prior to a weekend fixture, so hopefully us Fantasy Managers may not have to wait long for further details on Van Persie’s availability.

While Wenger will not want to take a risk on Van Persie’s fitness, he will also be mindful that he saw his side fail to breakdown Sunderland at the Emirates in gameweek 29 with the Dutchman sidelined.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

They have similar hair. I only watched the first half, was a good finish, but thought Carroll looked still well off the pace.

It is indeed. One of the better dnb labels imo, though lately nothing comes close to Shogun's output imo.

Best DnB night I've ever been to was run by Metalheadz, Goldie headlining, Lemon D and Dilinja, Ed Rush and Optical, great stuff (few years back.)

Haven't heard much stuff from Shogun, I'll have to check it out.

Nice, i'm a fan the older Ed Rush and Optical stuff.
People like Alix Perez have kinda brought that up to date - his album on Shogun is worth a listen, a mixture or modern techy stuff and smooth liquid tunes.

                Check out Spectrasoul too.

I'm a big fan of Aliz Perez 1984 album, also loving a lot of Critical records stuff as well as Commix, Zero T, Rockwell. Theres loads of good DnB out there right now i reckon.

Yeah, i think Critical is another favourite, i end up buying loads of their stuff.

Have you listened to Hybris before? Just had an EP out on one of Noisia's labels - definitely worth a listen if you're into Rockwell.

All the tracks (plus some other good ones) are in this mix.

There is another wicked Hybris release on Modulations actually which is Critical's sister label.

Yeah it is more of a recent thing.

And no, unfortunately its more of a recent thing for me, past 4 or 5 years i suppose. It sounds like it was an exciting thing to be a part of in the earlier days, properly cutting edge and underground.

Still loads of good stuff getting released, in fact i'd say moreso lately, but there is so much cr@p with it too, which tends to be the stuff that gets more exposure.

If I can convince myself to sell Torres (none of my rivals have him, not one, so he is no threat) then I think all if not most should see the light.

I've actually predicted he'll score a goal a gameweek 32 through 34, but I think I can do better and be without.

Exactly, I expect Torres to pick up, and soon, but not enough to warrant what his cost is impacting on other things I want to do. In an ideal choose XI men with no worry of cost I'd keep him and cross fingers...

                  For now, I think I'll wait until he's a good a summer's rest I think. Complete shake-up of my strike-force this week.

I broke it last week and got 7 points.

This "rule" is a load of nonsense. Dawson was an absolutely solid pick last season - first name in my defence this season but then he obv got injured - since he's come back spurs have put in some solid defensive performances - you only need to look at the second leg of the Milan tie to see what they are capable of.

Fixtures in their favour too - the only reason people can give against getting him in is "never touch a spurs defender etc."

      All hype

I was thinking more for in training. Smalling is Rio's apprentice, Bale will be giggs' and Rodwell will be Scholes'.

At least that is my dream situation...

                  both 😕
rodwell is a good player but he can never be as good as player scholes...scholes is more of a play maker while rodwell is a def mid or a future cb ...

WHAT ?! In terms of quality his potential is even higher than Scholes.

He is bigger, stronger and faster as well as being a better player than Scholes was at the same age.

Tactically though he is more of a Carrick/Fletcher but he will be so much better..

Yes. I don't think Xavi or Iniesta would be as good (they would still be very good, obviously) playing at a team other than Barca.

Barca have basically developed their entire playing style around Xavi and, more recently, Iniesta, and what suits them. I would rather have Keane at Utd than either of them, although they are both better players. If that makes sense...

    In a bit of a mess -

    Foster (Begovic)

    Smalling Coleman Huth (Walker Coloccini)

    Barton Nani Young Nasri Arteta

    RVP Berbatov (Tevez)

    This week-

    A - Arteta>Adam

    OR

    B - Arteta>Lampard Tevez>Gyan (4 point hit)

over the run in get rid of Berba for Carroll to free up cash for Barton>Adam (if I I do B) and sort out defence?

    Any advice appreciated.

    Alt A:
    GW 31 Saha to Carroll
GW 32 Bale to Adam and Young/Nasri to Lampard (4 pt hit)
    GW 33 Kolarov to Luiz

Will leave me with 0.1 in bank, which means I probably wont be able to do it without downgrading Coleman to Smalling for a 4 pt hit

    Alt B:
    GW 31 Saha to Welbeck
    GW 32 Young/Nasri to Lampard
GW 33 Bale to Adam and Kolarov/Coleman to Luiz

Further plans involves downgrading Foster to Mignolet in GW 34 and getting Smalling in for Kelly. However, my plans will definately change...

So which alternative do you think is best? I'm leaning towards alternative B, with Lampard replacing Young, Luiz in for Coleman

Hmm, which is better this week:

    (A) Arteta -> Dempsey
    (B) Arteta -> Adam

Dempsey has a great fixture in GW31 and a double in GW34 but after that i'd probably have to get rid.

    Adam - great fixtures GW33-35 and 37.

Been a bit out of touch with FPL since the last GW (quite nice to have a break actually). Is the following summary of my team accurate?

Gordon - probably out for the season, swap to Mignolet

Kelly - probably out for the season, swap to Luiz
Djourou - probably out for the season, swap to [Walker]
Kolarov - probably alright to keep now with Boateng/Richards out

Nolan - couple of good fixtures then swap to Adam
Young - swap to Lamps asap

Strikers to get - Gyan/Wellbeck, Carroll, Bent.

Does that look about right? Should I save my transfer this week or do Djourou/Kelly - Luiz?

    Cheers.

I need to ship out either Downing or Etherington for Lamps next week - was planning on getting rid of Ethers but with Stoke's double coming up am unsure. Is Downing worth keeping?

I like Villas fixtures and despite them having njothin t play for i think young & downing will score highly. I'd lose ethers double or no double

    Current team:

    Foster (Begovic)

    Coleman Luiz Huth Kolarov (Djrou)

    Nani Young Dempsey Barton (Bentley)

    Tevez Rooney (Saha)

I was thinking of doing Bentley > Adam and Saha > RVP but now both are doubts I am thinking of saving a transfer this week, the fixtures don't look so bad for most, am I missing something, do I need to make a change?
