Sounds like Fergie in this case cared more about winning trophies immediately (via Scholes + Carrick - who was a bit kack back then but is excellent now) than considering the future for once. If Scholes was 28 at the time I'd completely stand by the decision, 30 and I'd be on the fence depending on how long his contract was. The guy is freakin' 38 now!
