Following on from the first in this series of three articles which analyse the new Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Bonus Points System (BPS), we now switch attention to creativity and assess how the playmakers are benefiting.

In this article, I’ll examine which creative elements play a part, how influential they are in determining the bonus point awards and cast an eye over the most impressive performers across the last few Gameweeks.

      Walker's suspended

      Think it'll be Jones drafted in at RB. Carrick over Lampard. Everyone else the same.

        Knew someone was suspended, just couldn't remember who.

        I'd be a tad worried with Jones at right-back, but otherwise I think we've got it over the Poles.

        2-0.

      It almost doesn't matter -- Rooney to scuff another 2-yarder for the win.

    Migs - Price
    Vidic - Coleman - Dawson - Clyne - Turner
    Ozil - Michu - Ramsey - Moses - Barkley
    Rooney - Sturridge - Giroud

    2 FT & £0.6

    Not going to let a FT go to waste. Time to sell Moses for Amalfitano or Whittingham? Any other smart transfers?

      Wow i was going to recommend a possible Moses to Januzaj, or other cheap mid but with Barkley and Ramsey already in your team, you need a slightly more expensive one. I highly recommend Paulinho, he's on the verge of having explosive returns and has some really good games coming up. But considering that you would play all your strikers and mids (excluding Moses or his replacement) for the next week, maybe your better off subbing out Vidic?

      Is there any way you can move Dawson & Moses and get a Chelsea defender or midfielder? If you are feeling adventurous -- Ramires or Shurrle, though Oscar would be my pick assuming he's fit. Alternatively, you can bring in Terry -- they have amazing fixtures & he seems to be pretty nailed on in the league. I'd err on the side of getting a Chelsea midfielder first, if it all possible.

    Joel Ward -- my only player on MNF. That should be exciting. He has 3 successful crosses to his name so far this season, here's to hoping #4 meets the head of Dwight G for what turns out to be the only goal in a 1-0 Palace victory. Yummy.

      Well i have Lukaku, Suarez, and Sturridge at the moment, so i would definitely say those 3 ahead of Rooney at the moment. However, i got Suarez in right when he came back because of how easy the games were (and i already had Sturridge) but i always knew it was just a matter of time so i don't know if i would recommend getting both now, its risky. Suarez, Lukaku, Sturridge, Rooney in that order in my opinion

      I was 90% certain he would start last game -- so my prediction clearly isn't very good. I thought Alan P would start Cisee, Remy and Ben Arfa up front though Gouffran got the nod. It's anyone's guess though even football managers know the simple adage -- if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

            gj not back yet, ivanovic could outscore terry. you have the two most profitable keepers. oscar may not play or play part game. ramsey will prob outscore amal and januzaj. arsenal next two fixtures are class and giroud could earn big points. rooney great fixs even tho im not convinced on his points.
            team looks nicer overall but its not even guaranteed more points. and i assume you will lose lots of money on the likes of migs, boruc, ramsey, giroud. arsenal play norwich then palace and if they do well even more points could be on the cards. a hit in mdf for me would be preferrable over a wc. so maybe you could still bring in amal or januzaj??

              Wouldnt bring in GJ unless he was deemed fit, but if we`re going to continue with the 352 style of play GJ could be explosive. They have been profitable thus far yeah, but their fixtures dont rotate going forward, both same home&away, which is bad. Oscar looks to be very nailed on, and hes in form. I`m not getting Ramsey, and the Ivanovic -> Terry transfer was purely due to the bonus points JT seems to rack up and hes cheaper. But yeah, the more i think and talk about it, a hit at the most seems the better option.

                oh yeah your team doesnt already have ramsey, my bad on that. im monitoring gj too. sakho is certainly one to watch at 5.5 and his pass completion is superb. ivanovic i desperately want because he has substantially more attempts on goal then jt and will get more assists than jt over the season too. holding out on the wc up til now for me suggests you should keep. could be worth 40+ points later on and its not like your hand is forced and you have lots of injuries/suspensions

                  Well yeah Ivan is the better offensive choice, but bonus points counts for something. Sakho is exellent, but i`m still not confident that Brendan will afford him starts now that Agger and Johnson are/will be fit. The main reason i wanted to WC was to sort of clean it up. Brady injured, HBA dropped, Whittingham poor fixtures, Zabaleta poor form, Moses poor form/getting subbed, Wilson subbed/injured and lastly the keeper rotation is poor going forward. But i guess i should just get Michu for HBA and ride it out. Past years ive played my wc too soon, in hindsight, so i might actually try saving it for a bit this season 😛

                      My teamvalue is decent, nothing special though. Around 103 and something, i think, which is okay. The obvious one is Giroud, but Norwich usually does quite well against Arsenal for some reason. Michu is heavily considered due to the fact that Sunderland are absolutely terrible, but im also remembering Newcastle-Liverpool at the end of last season... So Sturridge just might get the honors, not sure just yet.

                    I have hba, brady & whittingham and I'm not too worried. Brady will be back in time for his best fixtures of the season in gw10 and 12. He and Whit are my favourite pair out of all the cheap mids. Hba will probably start vs Liverpool and he's talented enough to hit double digits if he does.

                      Hba is too much of an up and downer to keep, imo. And with the fixtures Swansea has and Michus form, thats a no brainer for me, that will be my transfer either way. The thing about Brady and Whittingham is the same problem with the keepers, they rotate poorly. Ideally i`d want them playing home and away games in the same gw.

                        Their fixtures are pretty much nuts until christmas time, so im for sure getting him. Got his debut for Spain this week as well, so he should be hype. HBA is a fantastically gifted footballer, but hes literally a pain in the ass to own on fpl, but i never learn. Had him for the good games this season though, so cant complain much.

            Not bad. You think it's worth a wc though?
            hba/giroud > michu/lukaku -4 pts gives you 5 of the best attackers this gw. Mig, Zaba, Ivan should be in the points too. Roll over gw9 trade as you're not bad for fixtures then too and then in gw 10 do rooney > aguero and upgrade either moses or one of your defenders.
            You can put out a very good side in the next 3 gw's and get all the core attackers you have in that draft

              Well, if im not wildcarding then i`m for sure keeping Giroud. NORWICH and Palace are great fixtures, and i don`t think Lukaku is worth -4. Hull and Villa have been pretty resilient this season, and while i expect Everton to do well and Lukaku is obviously on form, i don`t think he`s worth the hit. HBA is definitely gone. The reason i`m looking at Aguero is that he`s a differential, he`s nailed on (once injury free that is) and City score the most goals in the BPL. But i guess though the better play is just to keep calm, and take a hit for Brady (depending on how long he`ll be out, i might get rid of Moses instead) or just play Ward at home to Fulham on MNF.

                Yeah I agree, was just pointing out how you can get all the attackers you want over three gw's. Giroud is ok for the next two for sure.
                I'm probably getting Aguero too. I've earmarked gw10 for him.
                Don't sell brady he's back soon with great fixtures. Play Whit over Ward imo

                  I just hate the idea of chasing points as well, which means im probably sobering up and not going to get Lukaku just now. Rooney`s kinda on form and they have good fixtures, so if i get Januzaj i should have more than enough coverage once the champions get going. I`ll wait and see what Bruce has to say about Brady, and why play Whittingham away to Chelsea? Simply for set piece duties? If Palace has a chance of a shutout this season, its this gw, imo.

                    Yeah just for his set piece monopoly. He's one of the best around with the dead ball so he's always got a chance of nicking points even if they get thumped. They'll probably both get 2 points but Whit is more likely to assist from a set piece than palace are of getting a cs

                      dont agree. think its pretty tight as chelsea may easily get a cs. and also a clean sheet is more points than an assist. if whitt gets an assist it will prob be in a defeat so no cs points and no bps. if palace get a cs then bonus a possiblity

                        Don't get me wrong I'm not saying Whittingham is even likely to do anything at chelsea. But this is palace we're talking about. I dount they will get a clean sheet all season.

                        according to odds 33% chance of palace cleansheet.
                        55% chance of chelski cleansheet. weighted with bonus and points for given situation. plus a cs is instant points at back and whitts may even be involved in a cardiff goal

      Winter forecast really that bad? I mean, the transfers i have planned im my WC look great to me, but still some of the players i`d be losing would have some decent fixtures. The lure of a brand new team i guess.

        yeah its predicted to be. it seems to me if you have held your wc this long and your only a few transfers away from having a very decent team then i think its probably counter productive to wildcard. midfield needs some work but id rather than a -12 then use a wc

          Tbh i think -12 would be kind of pushing it. I could just play it cool until the weekend and the team news comes, and just take the one hit and hope i`ll be okay. I mean, even though United are worse now than previously and Southampton are better than previously, this matchup usually ends very well for United, so keeping Rooney might not be a bad thing after all. And i could just do Brady -> Januzaj if Brady doesnt pull through.

    Right, so we are 7 game weeks in. It's weird, but how many of us know we should have certain players in our squads right now but for one reason or another we've refused? E.g. Yaya Toure. I've said I should have had him in after GW3 but keep thinking he cannot keep scoring points in his position... well...

    Funny what stubbornness does to us eh? What other players do people think we should have in our squads? Atm I'm thinking Boruc, Saints defender, Yaya Toure, Ozil, Sturridge/Suarez, Lukaku are all most haves. Yet I'm too stubborn to bring in Lukaku, Yaya or Ozil.

    Whose your "stubbornness" preventing you from drafting in?

      There's nobody I think I should have but won't get. If you want a player why refuse to get them?

    A) Nolan -> Barkley
    B) Nolan -> Hernandez
    C) Nolan -> Januzaj
    D) Save the transfer

    C) means I can afford a Mirallas -> Walcott trade next week. A) leaves me 0.1m short.

        Will he start though? If so then he is a superb buy, but with all the competition at United I'm swaying towards Barkley - at least with him you know he's nailed on to play and he actually has better fixtures. Then I'll just have to hope Wally drops 0.1m by the GW9 deadline.....

    Rumours:
    Red Bull want a team to take into the Champions League,”It is the only market they have not reached yet. Ideally this would be in the London area, but both Everton and Liverpool interest them too because it would not take much to get them to that level.

    Does this team need any transfers prior to the weekend? Already used my FT, so anything further would be for a hit. I'm a bit nervous it might be a big scoring gameweek with some friendly fixutres, and I might not field XI if any of Oscar/Shaw/Davies don't play.

    If on a WC, would you definitely bring in a Swans defender? Their fixtures are amazing. Their opening fixtures weren't, but the only two games that they had a good chance to keep a clean sheet they did (against wba and palace). I'm not the only one who is worried about the fitness of their defense. Question is, how does this Amat guy look?

    went back and read FFS report on Amalfitano

    didn't say much

    looked at his transfer market page: http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/morgan-amalfitano/leistungsdaten-detail/spieler_39883.html

    seems like his career was progressing and peaking at Lorient, but then he moved to Marseille and the career stalled

    guessing he was under-utilized or asked to play more defensively at Marseille

    Current Team

    GK: Mignolet (Boruc)
    DF: Dawson - Vidic - Coleman (Brayford - Lowton)
    MF: Özil - Michu - Ramsey - Whittingham (Barkley)
    FW: Rooney - Giroud - Suárez

    I have 2 FT's at the moment, for a prolonged effect, I am happy with my keepers, mids and forwards, but I think my defensive backup is lacking.

    was thinking of the following subs (have 0.1 to work with as well)

    Brayford(3.9) --> Whittaker(4.2) due to left over money
    Lowton(4.7) --> Vlarr (4.4) or Clyne(4.4)

    so can anyone suggest anything better than that with 8.7 to spend over 2 sub defenders?

      lowton >> clyne
      brayford >> faye (hull)

      hull look to be hard to break at home and southampton have 3 good fixtures in the next 4.

    HBA out for Barkley or Arnautovic?

    I already have lukaku so I would prefer not to have another everton attacker but I don't have many choices in that price range. Arnautovic looks like a good differential if he continues to play OOP with stoke's favorable fixtures, but he isn't proven yet.

    any other options?

      Barkleys lookin the goods. If arnau keeps playing up front you'd have to think he'll start scoring, but is he getting the service?
