Last weekend saw Mesut Ozil serve up another devastating display as Arsenal made light work of Norwich at the Emirates. Having delivered back-to-back blanks in the previous two Gameweeks, the German’s brace against the Canaries took his tally to two goals and four assists in five appearances since arriving from Real Madrid this summer:

Later in the day, another playmaker racked up the points as City registered their first away win of the season at West Ham. David Silva’s display against the Hammers continued the form under Manuel Pellegrini that has now harvested two goals and three assists in five league games this term. Whilst Ozil has climbed to 10.7 in FPL, Silva has now dropped to 9.3 and with ownership levels of 31% and 5% respectively, the Gunners man has clearly been the most popular in spite of his loftier price tag.

With 20 and 18 strikes respectively, City and Arsenal lead the way for goals scored so far and with Ozil and Silva both instrumental in unlocking opposition backlines, in this latest article for members, we take a look at their impact:

    I have Eriksen. For a 4 point hit I can have any other midfielder available. I have ozil, ramsey, lallana, barkley, eriksen at the moment.

    for possibly one week or two only, who'd you go for? My plan is coutinho and walcott in soon. I was thinking Cazorla, coming back to full fitness, usually impresses against poor sides, thinking reading last season. Lost their manager.

        Really? Away to Chelsea? Last season it was 0-0...and he rarely produces big returns.

        i think eriksen just got an assist...

        sort of think i should have got cazorla in for siggurdson instead of Lallana. Didn't really think it through. Just saw southampton vs fulham and thought they'd be goals. Cazorla never delivered for me last season, i was expecting returns against top sides, but it's mainly small sides he does well against.

      I'm in the same situation but will be keeping Eriksen for this weekend because of the nice fixture, think he's more likely to start than not and if he doesn't then Brady comes in and I get rid next week.

      Moyes was probably telling RVP to get more physical: lean on the defenders like he's Kevin Davis or Yakubu. RVP pointed out that Moyes' brand of football was shite and he wouldn't play like that; Moyes gets mad, sends him home to think about life.

    A) Nolan -> Hazard
    B) Nolan -> Paulinho
    C) Save transfer

    B & C mean I can get Silva or Aguero without a hit next week.

    Boruc, Davis
    Baines, Terry, Toure, Clyne, Ward
    Michu, Ramsey, Mirallas, Nolan, Ravel
    Suarez, Sturridge, Giroud

        I think I prefer Aguero over Silva as MCY attack, plus I don't really want double LIV attack away at ARS next week.

        Reckon this is worth a 4 pointer?

        GW9: Nolan -> Hazard
        GW10: Baines & Sturridge -> 6m defender (Kolarov/GJ?) & Aguero(c) [4 points]

          I'd probably do the first move in any event and then evaluate next week. If Sturridge scores a brace you might find yourself hard-pressed to sell him.

          Do you prefer Hazard to Oscar? I got Oscar in last week, but if I had to do it again I'd go for Hazard, and not simply because he scored more last week.

            Hmmm, I'm not convinced CHE will have a field day with Kompany back, and that's swaying me away from Hazard (or Oscar) this week. Hazard has the better underlying stats so he edges it for me of the two.

            Paulinho's stats are ridiculous - very tempted to go with him this week as a 3 week gamble (HUL and NEW both look ripe for points).

          I have decided that I will play it 'smart / safe' until Christmas and if there is no significant improvement, I may take a little but of a higher risk / high reward approach, i.e. hits, differential captains, etc.

    Was pretty sure Caz was going to start against Dortmund after his recovery from injury and most importantly he was subbed off at 59 minutes for Rosicky against Norwich. That looked to me like he was being saved for the Dortmund game. I was then surprised to see Rosicky start, clearly Caz is still not quite match fit enough to manage the 90.

    For that reason while he'd look like a sensible player to start against Palace given he's played less than Ozil, Ramsey, Wilshere, Arteta etc, there is a little bit of doubt regarding his physical condition at this moment in time (he should be fine soon).

        Think he is very likely to start but it would be a third game in a week so there is always a small risk. Last night he was used on the right and thus has now played in every attacking midfield position for us, left, center and right. Also on set pieces. All in all looks so integral to our play I find it hard to imagine Wenger disrupting the team by benching him. Also because I doubt he would be saving Ozil for the League Cup.

        Yeah the Chelsea league cup game is on my mind but I'm guessing that Wenger will play more of a second team in keeping with his reputation for using the tournament as a youth cup. Gotta be stronger than the team for the WBA league cup tie which was like Arsenal Kids, but probably leave out many that he intends to use in our 3 big games in 8 days after that.

    Which is the most pressing transfer:

    1. Davies to Chico
    2. Lampard to Lallana or Paulinho or Ramsey or Schurrle
    3. Zabaleta to somebody. Who?

      Depending on the rest of your defence, probably Lamps -> Ramsey/Paulinho
